Actually, RavenSun, Obelisk Rogue isn't that bad. It works, and I think it would be overpowered if it worked as you described. As is, having 3 or 4 obelisks means you are doing 15 or 20 damage. It's like having 2 Ragnarosi on the board, nothing to sneeze at and can easily kill an opponent if they're damaged already.
What you shouldn't try is going for 6 obelisks all at once. Better to have 3, a significant threat the opponent has to deal with and then you still have several shadows in the deck that can repopulate the board and finish them off.
For future reference, if you play Zephy with Brann or shaman quest hero power, he will give you the same options twice without exceptions. He will not take the fact that he just gave you these choices into account. If you somehow play zephy twice in a row, the options will only change if the first options became unplayable due to you spending an additional 2 mana. Since he gave you evis, fireball and swipe on 8 mana the first time, you can assume he will give you the same options again because all these options are also playable on 6 mana
Not calling you a n00b; this is just FYI
Not true, I've played him with the Quest Shaman HP and got different options. Granted, 2/3 options were the same, but regardless, it wasn't the exact same 3 choices.
Thank you for the great guide!! I love this card and this type of design.
One request: If possible please make/keep a section of "fixes" or things Zyphrys learns when they become public. I would love a place to check every so often to see if there has been any changes.
This deck is pretty darn good and fun to play! - well for me at least!
So far i'm 41-20
At the beginning this took me from rank 5 with 2 stars to rank 2 full stars ! Never ever would i have thought that highlander hunter could be that good !
I love the theme of this and I really wish it would be used in an official card set. So much lore potential and iconic characters to use. Would most certainly be neat to see the demon tribe extend beyond just warlock and neutral. I'm not a card expert, so I won't comment on how good the individual cards are, but the theme seems right on point. Illidian as a hunter is a great idea-- I've been wondering how to fit him into a class myself lately, and Kil'jaeden makes perfect sense as a mage.
Well the thing im curious about is what happens in the mirror match-up ? always a draw because of the 90 Turn Draw?
I personaly am not a wild player , but im playing the game long enough to know that there are lot´s of crazy combos and OTKs - so i guess this is pretty "normal" in wild ?
This is proof about how the Wild format isn't a dumpster for all the broken crap. Wins my confidence. Next time they sell a wild pack I'm ready to pony up. LOL not
However, I can say that Standard isn't a money grabber... Except, not.
Doesn’t Wild just mean that you’ve been giving Blizzard your money for longer?
time/money*
Wild is MUCH more F2P-friendly than Standard, as long as one can continuously select what they want to play. Wise crafts in Wild never become obsolete.
In-Topic: yeah, it's basically a sort of reverse OTK. It happens late enough, so that one can still prevent it by trying and winning first, no tech required. Additionally, you can still keep fighting, and eventually overcome the enemy, as long as you can delay fatigue (which you should be able to as a Control).
So, yeah, it looks overwhelming, but in practice it is not. Definitely not more than the average OTK deck in Wild.

It's just an OTK deck as the many OTK deck that have existed and that will exist in future. There is no difference between this and reducing opponent's life to 0, even if this is funnier.
However, I can say that Standard isn't a money grabber where everyone is playing the same 2 decklists full of high cost card crying for nerfs when losing to turn 3 giant turn 4 calling. Except, not.
I've tested my list for several days and it's been performing pretty well, control shell allows to use Hagatha the Swampqueen, which is a powerhouse with the quest. Archivist won me 2 vs control games, it's a good card with such a slow approach, Barista, however feels like a win more card, not that useful.
As for your list, it has some really interesting choices with Omega Minds and Arcane Dynamos, I may try some of these as well, tnx for posting.
You had a good lucky streak! Good for you! Now, play more than 100 games with it and get a good sample for some more reliable stats. I'm very tired of all the fake hype on decks.
I'm afraid to get too hyped because video game to movie/show adaptations are notorious for turning out terrible. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised :)
But you realise that Netflix series its not game adaptation but book adaptation? And game was adaptation of book?
The games were not the adaptations of the book, the first game started around 2 years after the last book finished.
And yes the show is going to be based on the books, to be precise the first season will cover the stories from the first two books - The Last Wish and the Sword of Destiny and most likely the 2nd season(if it comes to that) will start covering the actual saga from the next 5 books.
I love what Kibler proposed for Dr. Boom, Mad Genius - Change Battlecry to: "Battlecry: Mechs in your hand and deck gain Rush" and remove +7 Armor Hero power.
That way he still will be 7 mana 7/7. But changing into it will makes you more vulnerable (no more armour gain) and only Mechs you actually have in deck will have rush. That way all those discovered ones will not have Rush and would be much less problem. To benefit from this Battlecry you would have to actually put Mechs into deck.
Luna played on 4 with coin is absurd. And 4 Mana Conjurer's Calling is much less oppressive (harder to play twinspell, no chance to be generated from Magic Trick.
As he noted though, the tricky part with that nerf is that it completely wrecks micro-squad. So in this case, not only have you nerfed the rush aspect, but you've trashed the hero power by removing the Blast Shield and effectively removing Micro-Squad.
I hate Boom as much as anyone, but even that seems extreme to me.

I changed the Leper Gnome tough :)

How exactly did I generate a ton of fake hype? By just posting a budget deck in general?
Invasion of the Legion! (New Set, WIP)

Zephrys: the great fails
Well i personaly did not have a Zephry Fail so far - the moments i played him he got me either lethal or a useful card.
I also played him once against a Hunter with 2 active Secrets and he got me a minion that destroyed a random secret.
But i also guess it´s true that like someone said above you only wish for the Perfect Card and that doesn't mean you will always get the best outcome!
1280 Armor Druid

The Witcher (Netflix)
I hope the Yen actress is really good at acting like Yen because they sure didn't go for visual similarity.
I hope to hell this show is good but I do have niggling doubts.
Also I want to know who is playing Dandilion.
Quest Trading - Play A Friend!

The Way-Too-Early-Nerf Thread
Right - but at that point they're virtually doing a complete redesign of the card, and that's not how they do things. They'd just HOF it instead.
The Way-Too-Early-Nerf Thread
You can easy change Micro-Squad to summon 3 Rush 1/1 mechs.
Grandmummy
Amazing card, actually. Great combo with Wretched Reclaimer and Shadowy Figure, as well as Twilight's Call in wild.
