I wonder if quest druid would be better if people did not expect their quests to be done right on turn 5. if maybe you tried harder to secure a board in the early turns, then completed the quest on turn 7-9 and started winning the game using value from your hero power from there. You could focus less on shoving all their choose one cards in their deck, and run a more control package with the quest for some smaller plays. you would focus more on small value plays like Nourish, or Ancient of Lore, and less on giant swing plays like Druid of the Claw, or Oasis Surger.
The main problem with quest druid is that people are playing it like a big tempo deck where they can make big swim turns, but you are not doing much with your first 4 turns. I think playing a slower deck would be better,
I believe this is actually the correct way to play against the most aggressive decks like Murloc Paladin and Warlock Zoo. The entire bottom half of your deck is removal. Use it to stay alive. Even if it puts off your stabilization turn, you live to get to that turn.
Those look like some fun decks. Is Sylvanas Windrunner too slow for either deck? I would love to give her reborn. Could help swing the board in your favor.
Maybe in the midrange one. I had considered her when building it, but the lack of immediate deathrattle triggers make her rather slow.
I cannot remember the situation but I was offered Cabal Shadow Priest against a Doomsayer which was obviously not what I wanted. Thankfully I did get offered silence too. He can definitely offer some odd choices now and then.
The card text says "wish for the perfect card", it doesn't mention the wish coming true :P
Great card to get as a golden. All minions come back golden... and yes, the reborn minions come back in their original form, with reborn. Think of the damaged, second copy of a reborn like a de-buff. Whitemane wouldn't bring back a minion with +4/+4 from blessing of kings, she'd rez the original minion. Same goes for reborn.
Ok. Someone explain this scenario to me! I'm playing Highlander hunter. I set up a lethal situation by putting a couple of minions on board, Kill Command in hand, and a hero power for some overkill. I press End Turn button. My opponent intuitively understands the set up and throws down Khartut Defender and does some other irrelevent action before ending his turn. Its my turn now I get myself down to 6 mana then I play the 2 mana Zephyrs knowing full well that it should offer me a 4 mana Polymorph! Zephyrs offers me Hex instead! I now don't have lethal! I won the game a few turns later but WTF Zephyrs! Hex is almost never a better option than Polymorph.
This is another interesting scenario.
Zephrys the Great was good enough to understand you needed a transform effect, yet he failed at providing the correct one.
People may argue he doesn't know you were holding lethal in hand, but then, as you said, Hex is almost always worse than Polymorph IN GENERAL, besides the lethal, and Zephrys should know better.
Maybe what we are seeing is purposeful dialing back of how "perfect" Zephyrs is so that it can remain a fun and helpful card to play but doesn't feel unfair on the other side. Generally speaking even super powerful legendaries require some build around or thought into how to use them to maximize their effectiveness. Maybe they don't want Zephyrs to give options that are TOO optimal so that he doesn't become an automatic win card.
I don't know if this is the case but it seems like it could be possible.

Touché. But Shiv over Swipe or whatever still holds. Cenarius could be a better option for what I described than Tirion. (Or Alexstrazsa.
These examples are just taken off the top of my head without the sets open in front of me. But for an AI that DOES have those options coded into its programming, the possibilities ought to be more diverse.
You can not play him and Alexstraza on the same tur
Still doesn’t address Cenarius. Or Shiv in the prior example. But, uh, ...Healing Touch? What do you want from me!? I’m vaguely interested in why the bulk of this thread has now been devoted to sniping at me and the OP. Are we genuinely convinced as a community that Zephrys is indeed “perfect?”
I’d be equally open to using this as a forum for finding out where Zephrys’s AI is restricted by human error. Perhaps the turn before lethal just isn’t the time you should use him? Great! But that doesn’t seem to be the conversation others are interested in having.
Every week I hope for another Battle at Tol Barad brawl because. It's been over a year. Instead we get another crossroads brawl, one that has 3 different iterations that keep getting repeated over and over. I get that many people like the fully random ones but I wish that if they do repeats, they would be a little more evenly repeated.

King Gordok would make for a great expansion piece along with other Ogres.
Quel'Serrar Quest line (Foror’s Compendium of Dragon Slaying) could make for a great Warrior Quest. Something like Gain X Armor which then summons Onyxia for your opponent. This Onyxia could have deathratfle: give you opponent blade of Quel’Serrar.
Surprisingly bad decks?

Quest Rogue is not anywhere near what I thought it'd be.
The new cards from SoU make for some pretty fun aggressive and midrange builds with the Old Quest

Whitemane in Uldum
More playable?
She was already amazing

It resummons the original minion with reborn every time!
Rock, Paper, Scissors - 3 Competitive Standard Decks
Nice article, Wookie.
Whitemane in Uldum
I just got a golden High Inquisitor Whitemane from this week's tavern brawl. I had completely forgotten that this was added to Classic.
Does anyone know how it interacts with reborn minions? I wonder if this new mechanic would make Whitemane more playable.

Fully agree this should be changed, I had the exact same thought

RIOT!!!! The reward for the new tavern brawl is a classic pack! RABBLE RABBLE!

Cart Crash at the Crossroads
I like this brawl to complete quests and play without caring or paying much attention.
Lucky me, I got the "win 3 tavern brawls" quest yesterday.
Zephrys: the great fails
You can not play him and Alexstraza on the same tur
Quest Trading - Play A Friend!
done
Looking for SERIOUSLY cheap budget decks.
On my profile is a super cheap and really solid quest priest deck.
quest is the only legendary and it has one epic which could be swapped out
Onward into Uldum
I am in with the whole riot thing but why not riot of the HS stream to get our packs and have other people join us as well?!

Great card to get to play with cards you don't have, but if she enjoys the "deckbuilding" aspect of the game, that won't do anything for her.

loved that Quest chain/blad
