  • The Burndown!

    How they made the decks:

you know the dalaran heist bucket system? each new player gets one of around 300 decks generated from each class choosing buckets probably they use the same groups as in dalaran heist, the bucket choosing seem to be in trios.. as in one deck I had 1 dragon and 2 dragon activators but nothing else as far as I seen, also I saw the deck had the "legendaries" bucket twice I played around 6 games with that paladin deck..

so the deck are synergistic because they pull from synergistic buckets..

now this brawl more than any other brawl ever is a HUGE statistic data dump for blizzard I mean.. with millions of games that will be played in this tavern brawl blizzard can gather tonnes of data about some strategies, look at weak cards to buff, strong cards to nerf, look for synergies that were never tried before specially after a week or so when the decks self refine themselves to thousands of wins.

  • Uldum Final Reveal Stream w/ Brian Kibler, Peter Whalen, & Chris Sierra - July 31

I'll be honest, I'd be fine if none of them showed up.

You can see it in Peter's eyes that he gets shitty in the deepest confines of his soul when he hears anyone talk about a card in any other way than what it was designed for. Like "No! No! That's not how you're supposed to do it. You're wrecking it! Mummy!"

Chris just laughs at anything that isn't even remotely funny, then tries his absolute hardest to push on with the show... with no success.

And worst of all, Brian. With an ego so big that every Blizzard employee he streams with cringes at the sound of his oppressive voice, while simultaneously suppressing the feelings of rage they have just from sitting next to him. I'm not even sure if he has the ability to let someone else speak without either interrupting them or completely shutting them down.

Put Dave Kosak on. He'll single handedly do a better job of portraying 3 different personalities than 3 actual different personalities.

  • New Warrior Minion - Frightened Flunky

He's clearly the guy who dies first.

  • Priest in Saviors of Uldum

    Quote From DoubleSummon

Well this time we are getting a quest that might serve as a win condition, which is the main problem of priest currently, they are probably saving priest to showcase an entire new Archetype in the big reveal stream.

Mostly this. My guess is the long awaited shadow priest support, and they will save that and a legendary minion for the final stream.  I think the quest will be silence related though.

  • Dragon Mech Handbuff Paladin

I tried it. It's a lot of fun to use in casual. I also tried it in ranked mode. It's not bad. Your opponent typically doesn't understand what you're doing, which is an advantage.

I think revealing all of the cards implies that you'll see the priest cards, too.....

they nearly showed 80% of all the classes' card but priest, who got only 2 revealed cards so far, we want to have a peek at every class, leaving priest for the final reveal stream means he will get a good boost this expansion by saving him for last, let's hope at least.

Ok, I'll be the math critic here. Please don't make up percentages just to emphasize a point. Revealed cards so far: Druid 4/10, Hunter 5/10, Mage 6/10, Paladin 6/10, Priest 2/10, Rogue 5/10, Shaman 6/10, Warlock 6/10, Warrior 5/10, Neutral 10/44. Quick math gives me 43/80 non Priest class cards. I don't think anyone would call that "nearly 80%" of the other classes. There are still 26 more planned card reveals before the final dump. Im expecting all classes to have 6 revealed cards before the final stream. Just be patient and they will come.

  • The Burndown!

The first game I played was extremely slow. The second game was much better, since I lost the first game I got to play with my opponents deck. I did my best to remember what was in the deck and tried to put together a plan for the deck during the first game because I could tell I was about to lose. So since I already knew what was in the deck and had an idea about how it was going to play out, I used that to my advantage during the second brawl. The homework I did paid off, I won the second brawl. I was playing with a paladin zoo deck.

  • The Burndown!

I don't get why people are saying this brawl sucks. I'm loving it.

  • Uldum Final Reveal Stream w/ Brian Kibler, Peter Whalen, & Chris Sierra - July 31

I hope they give at least some information about the solo content in this stream, but I'm not holding my breath.

  • Priest in Saviors of Uldum

Wel I have no idea but if priest is still dumpster tier I would be pretty annoyed. Have been playing dragon priest in wild. But that only has a good winrate because of mind blast reach and the op dragon synergy cards we got there.

Not sure what they'll but I feel priest won't have a win condition if they don't print some op stuff ;-)

  • Saviors of Uldum

There was an update to make them look better on mobile and that unintentionally changed the card layout for PC viewing. It's now fixed!

  • The Burndown!

this brawl is pretty interesting, the only problem is that actual gameplay itself is not that exciting

I thought it was Savjz. ::smile::

  • What was first? The art, the effect or the name of a card?

And I’d say the art team has a huge library of unused art just waiting to be thrown on a card.

Thats what i do :D I hoard so much art for custom cards, never gonna use all that, but you know ... what if i needed that :)))

Not gonna lie, It's hard to find quality art for custom cards without it feeling reused

  • Uldum Final Reveal Stream w/ Brian Kibler, Peter Whalen, & Chris Sierra - July 31

I’d be fine if Chris forgets to show up for this.

  • Group Therapy! Need to blow off some steam? Mega salty? Here's the place!

Fuck this brawl. Someone make it stop. I literally cannot stop drawing expensive shit.

Fuck the deck designs, fuck Anomalus, fuck the Hunter starter deck, fuck every single time I had to repeat this sorry excuse of a game mode.

This is something we want to do eventually, once we have proper tools for it and other more pressing stuff is finalized. But yeah, we definitely want this and more ;-)

    - NEW CARD -

    1=Excellent, 2=Good, 3=Average, 4=Poor, 5=Terrible

Wasteland Assassin (3): Decent 5 drop. Stealth and Reborn make it very sticky, so chances are you will trade into what you want to trade at least once. For now im being a bit skeptical and looking at it as an average minion for the mana cost, but i would not be surprised, if it ended up performing better than i give it credit for.

I guess KotFT was a unique expansion with huge power level because of the unbalanced game. There was almost only Jade Druids and Pirate Warriors in Ladder and it seemed like it can't be change. So it is like a "must to do" i guess. Or I'm wrong again i really don't know but I want to believe in this.

Well, it was more of the theme that did it.  That expansion wasn't just some random hearthstone made event.

This is the Frozen Throne.  Lich King.  Death Knight!   The topic is literally the most important event in all that is Warcraft Lore.

People have been clamoring for this set since Hearthstone was first made.  It's going to go *BIG*.  Note that they work on sets about 2-4 sets in advance.  Thus KotFT started development somewhere between Old Gods and One Night: BEFORE the game filled up with Jades and Pirates.

  • Two Uldum Card Reveals - Frightened Flunky & Infested Goblin

Aren't we already only a step or so from there with common Warrior decks?  There is a strong emphasis on the use if Rush minions to help maintain control of a board as is.  Swap a few out for the Taunt support being printed for SoU and you're kind of already there..  no
