I can utterly smoke most of the bosses, but I swear Garr is cheating. I had over 18 bombs in his deck, and he just never drew them and always had the damn card that replenishes his stupid minions. I'm 9 runs down on warrior still. I cannot seem to get past him. Feels bad man.
Quote From MorkimusI am yet to be able to get past Garr with 2 classes and beat Ragnaros with the third one, and the three are discordantly difficult in comparison to Dr. Boom.
I've done it with all the heroes. All of them were under 40 mins. My fastest run was with Togwaggle actually but him and Dr. Boom felt easier than the other two. The "trick" with the Garr is you have to have some early game to damage some of his minions on your own turn because if one dies it's just one damage, if two die at the same time it's four, three is nine etc. As long as more than ~3 of them won't die at the same time, you can just go face instead of worrying about clearing the board though. They will die anyway and he doesn't have much in terms of buffs.
this card could be played in a fatigue deck. you play this with 0-1 cards left in your library and you negate fatigue damage. which is good since warlocks draw a lot of cards.
Can we unpack this a bit?
Assuming that playing this card puts you at even or ahead in fatigue, what are the 1/1 imps doing to help you win in fatigue? Sure, you're holding off fatigue damage, but the 1/1 imp isn't fighting for board. Remember, your opponent is going to be playing cards too, but his are going to do things.
Are you saving both of these cards until fatigue, playing them, and then playing Rafaam? I mean, I guess that's something. It isn't unheard of. But to me, It just doesn't feel better than the late game things warlock can already do.

Are you guys drunk or what? This is an UNCONDITIONAL removal for 4 mana! And the drawback might never happen.
So many rank 50 reviews here lol.
Are you drunk? The condition is fucking terrible. It’s make your deck much worse to destroy a minion.
Which deck? Sure it could make a deck worse, but having more cards/demons/tokens could make a different deck better.
Serious question: Which deck does it make better?
Again, as I keep saying, they could release something that makes good use of these imps. But those cards haven't been revealed yet, and this is all we have to go on.

Overexaggerating much. This goes in a control shell where you almost always have an a full hand. Even if you draw an imp in the extact next turn which is highly unlikely, you will probably have other plays available and you can always tap. Sure if you draw 3 or 4 imps in a row this card is terrible but that will rarely happen. On average this is 4 mana unconditional removal and that's the end of story.
I'm really not, though. How competitive was Malchezar? It doesn't matter if it's a control shell or an aggro shell, drawing useless cards looses games. If you play two of these, you've added 6 useless cards to your deck.
As I've said repeatedly, if a card is released that makes these useless imps useful, then things change. Rafaam is not a way to make these cards useful, since they are burying your rafaam and making it harder to draw him.
And that's the end of the story. See, I can do it too.
The most fun that ive had with it is drafting "The Muscle" (battlecry - add 3 random cards to your hand, they cost 0) with shaman and then casting Duplatransmogrifier on it to replace all of the cards in my deck with it. Much more enjoyable than my warrior run, and actually pretty decent if you are just looking to churn through some quests. Overall its been a decent if unspectacular brawl, ive beaten rag with all four classes now and doubt ill return to it.
Do you guys just play in the lower ranks then? Of the few legendarys (and epics) you must have as a F2P player what decks can you create?
I'm rank 5 right now, using midrange hunter. I decided not to craft Zilliax, Hagatha or any of the other important year of the raven cards (the mechs come to mind). because they would be only useful for like 8 months. I already had dr.op and Zuljin though.
Under 25 minutes. Breezed through it by choosing Dr boom and selecting Curse of Rafam twice (so that they were taking eight damage per turn at the start). Barely even interacted with the bosses.
I spent hundreds of dollars last year in Hearthstone, and some more earlier this year for RoS. Bought all the bundles for the last 4 expansions I think. But a year of hunter meta has worn me out, even though I don't even play that much anymore, so I don't think I'll order this time.
Please don't take this as some great observation that is begging for counter-arguments, but for me it's been disappointing to see how little meaningful use there is for most of the cards, especially the ones I find really exciting in terms of their design. This is why I don't see any reason anymore to keep collecting all the cards. I think I'll just wait and craft some fun ones and go 100% to casual play with little attempt to actually win games.
It's nice they're doing more things to keep the game fresh, but for me it's been too little. I'd like to see a more daring, stimulating shake-up of the whole game, not just cosmetic changes, or treats such as free legendaries or Twitch drops.
Or imagine 10x Pyro going into opponents face? RNG ftw.
Due to the random nature of the card it is obviously more for fun than for value, but can still be a lot of fun I'd say.
And I am wondering about the probability distribution here: do mage cards get a higher probability in the pool? Or is it really random over all classes.
I picked Dr. Boom and almost lost on the first boss haha but then I picked the armor and bomb packages. Always hero power every turn and you will eventually win. Ragnaros was a rather close call but I got lucky he corrupted his own minions! Took me 28 minutes on my first try to finish it all :)
It looks bad compared to walk the plank at first glance, but: 1. WL cards are typically weaker than those of other classes to compensate for lifetap. 2. Walk the plank would be a maindeck inclusion for most other classes than rogue, rogues are just spoiled for single target removal options.
That said the downside of this card might be a real nuisance in exactly the weird control archtype blizzard are pushing for Warlock; drawlock. Whereas in a normal control vs control game you might even want to shuffle extra cards into your deck to delay fatigue, you really don't want imps interfering with broken Betrug/Dollmaster/Morrigan interactions. Weird timing to print this TBH.
New Warlock Spell - Impbalming
Only rafaam.
Plot twist and mountain giant use cards from hand. Impbalming shuffle directly to deck, so no sinergy.
Quest warlock need to draw cards, not to shuffle.
You are nor shuffling then drawing, just shuffle.

Supreme Archaeology
More like 5 or 6, given that this won't start counting until after you play it.
Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron
You get ten spells out of this guaranteed. How often did Yogg immediately kill himself? Often enough that this will usually get you much better value.

They should try banning meta classes in tournaments based of statics and how the community feels like.
Banning at least(or maximum) 3 most meta classes based of the community could potentially make these tournaments way more interesting.
I mean we only see meta decks now days, we want more creativity and maybe new meta too.
I mean the devs get feedback all the time of how OP each meta classes are, so it shouldn't be that hard to do that.
Have you pre-ordered the expansion yet?
