  • Standard #Tess Deck

    Hello everyone,

i made an Tess/Miracle Deck in Standard and I would like to improve this deck. Currently I play this deck on rank 7 it is good vs Control Decks, but it is an unfavoured matchup vs Aggro, esp. Tokendruid.

    Here's my list:

    https://outof.cards/hearthstone/decks/2902-tess-rogue

Here some video samples from my stream:

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/449018906 (Don't get confused. I started playing Hots first, just change the chapter to HS)

    What do you think?

  • New Shaman Spell - Corrupt the Waters

It challenges the board with even more AoE and said [Hearthstone Card (corpsetakers) Not Found]. Which seems to be the most effective manner, seeing how that person got #1 legend as you said.

How did I undermine anything though? viciousSyndicate clearly linked that #1 legend deck and still placed it in tier 4. Why is that, you think?

I have asked you multiple times when you ever get to lategame, because there's about three decks that actually care about getting to lategame (see my previous posts). I thought that question wasn't too difficult...

  • [Wild] Miracle mage versus big priest

1-2  sheep can be good cause when they try to res well they res a sheep. I doesnt fixed anything but can help you % of win. I am not a pro but work for me ...sometimes  ;p  Good Luck ! (maybe next Saviors of Uldum will bring us better)

  • [Wild] Miracle mage versus big priest

So I've been playing a bit of miracle mage recently as many other decks in wild were getting a little boring. Obviously the deck is really good and allows for quite some variety with all the discovering and random spells.

Only thing that's limiting my joy is, big surprise, big priest. According to viciousSyndicate and Tempostorm's latest meta reports the deck is very favored against these degenerates. Yet I can never seem to win against them. I usually have trouble clearing all their taunt minions to make way for my giants and don't have enough reach to burst them down from hand.

So, any tips regarding this matchup are welcome. At what turn do you go "in"? How do you deal with multiple The Lich King or Obsidian Statue? Some good VODs, videos and replays are welcome too. I've found a few on a deck guide over at HP, but two out of those three were won because of 1. multiple polymorph effects being generated and 2. multiple Counterspell being generated. Thanks in advance.

On a quick sidenote: hsreplay doesn't have matchup statistics for wild, does it? I always rely on Tempostorm's and viciousSyndicate's but I find the former to not always be accurate and the latter doesn't update often.

  • what is the point of king mukla

IIRC Mukla has seen competitive play as a 3 mana 5/5 once or twice(literally), but as others have pointed out, his main use (if any) is to fill the enemy's hand with junk.

Many keywords aren't anything new. Charged Devilsaur had rush before the keyword became a thing. Unstable Evolution was an echo card before that keyword was introduced, etc...

Whether the keyword will be interesting depends largely on the cards they will print for it. The warrior one so far looks decent.

Charged Devilsaur is the prototype of how rush should work one year before they actually realized how it works.. it's not exactly rush since if the card is cheated out it can go face.

decent? it looks really powerful when the card is coparable to both Zilliax and Militia Commander in terms of removal and stickiness you know it's a powerful card.

one year before they actually realized how it works ?

C'mon, Icehowl was already there since TGT in 2015 and Charge was there since 2016 with nerfed version (last version) so they "already knew" how it works, they didn't realize it with Charged Devilsaur and they knew charge was a problematic keyword they never denied that.

Charged Devilsaur was not the prototype.

Forgot about Icehowl (that's how bad the card is lol).

I meant that it was there as another "rush" minion before they actually gone for that mechanic although they did want to make that mechanic for a while "healthy charge minions".

Charged Devilsaur is most of the time a rush minion but it's wording makes it a combo piece sometimes.. which was quite important with hunter and priest back then.

@Iwatchyousleep: I think it will replace Militia Commander since it's more flexible, but it might depend on meta I guess.

  • what is the point of king mukla

it is a 3 mana 5/5. that is 2/2 more than your average 3 mana minion, so he gives your opponent 2/2 with the bananas.

when using him practically I think the best thing to do would be to put him in a mill deck. a deck that makes your opponent draw so many cards that they burn cards of the top of their library.

or you could play him with minions that care about your opponent casting spells. such as Burgly Bully or any trogg card.

he is pretty bad legendary though, sorry you had to open him. but I would still not dust him because you might end up opening him again in another pack. also some fun gimmick might come up that uses mukla.

I also made it to Legend with a Control Paladin.

I went with one Prelate , one mechanoegg one mechanicalwhelpling, and the Undertaker, to bring them all back over and over again. Unfortunately since the mech buffs , all Warriors run Silence, wich makes it very hard to beat Control Warrior, unless you can bait out their silence before you play the Undertaker

Could I get a deck code for this, please? I picked up a more heal-oriented, no undatakah version today. Ironically, first game: opponent plays 3 dire frenzies + zul'jin haha.  Of course, not all matches are winnable, but there are such punishing decks out there right now that it really bites a chunk from the spirit of trying out things.

That said, calling beast hunter aggro is a total misnomer. The deck is very versatile and can adapt its playstyle to the opponent's deck. Against a slow deck w/o pressure you can take your time to frenzy timber wolves for an OTK and against aggressive decks you often win by outlasting the opponent's stuff with Unleash the Beasts and buffed scalehides.

Definitions aside, this is what I was after, too: Beast Hunter is so ridiculously versatile that even fatigue won't get it, while it can still gun you down on early turns.

Sure it's versatile, but it's also quite unreliable unless you're a god at mulligan-ing master's call. Not to mention having a weak curve and relying heavily on 2-3 card comboes.

You can argue that Dire Frenzy is a problem of design philosophy but IMO beast hunter is not remotely problematic in terms of power level in the meta.

  • Lack of control deck options?

We lost 3 expansions and got only 1 expansion for standard.

It is a general issue for hearthstone's standard format. Variety always got hurt because of rotations. In First expansion of years, Some archetypes are always more dominant than others.

We're reaching mid-year which adds more cards, that might be possible to add some variety to the classes which has been lacking variety of archetypes.

At least, I want to believe in this.

There was a time Mill Rogues and Mill Druids were viable at competitive play and there were not so much Hand filler cards and there were not so much cards which you make your opponent draw a card.

Side Note: If you don't know what is a Mill Archetype, Mill Archetype simply aims to burn opponent's cards and make them go fatigue quick to be lethal and make them take quick fatigue damage by making them drawing cards while they have no cards in their deck, while protecting them with some evasion + healing packages and card advantage.

It was used on that role. Playing King Mukla + Naturalize/Coldlight Oracle adds your opponent's hand 4 cards. While your opponent has 8 or more cards in hand it makes them burn 2-3 of their cards and with his fat stats it also helps to trade bigger minions with lower mana cost for that archetype. In that time Handlocks/control Warriors were so popular decks so it was a good tech card for mill archetype.

Still he might be viable if Standard Mill archetype gets some support but in wild, there are some better options and decks in wild are so powerful for him. Because mana cheating is just normal for wild and his stats couldn't enough, also banana's couldn't enough to fill too and also Mill archetype gets hurt because of Jade Idol and some other decks and cards which fills decks and makes the decks cheat fatigue.

  • Would you like to have an "open all packs" option?

I personally like opening packs one by one.

On one side I'm enjoying this procedure, on the other side, I'm doing this focused an without a rush to acknowledge the value I'm getting out of this (either real-money or hard-earned gold).

  • what is the point of king mukla

It gives you a massive advantage on board like millhouse if your opponent has no minions in play. Back when it was printed it wast a given that they had a 1- or a 2-drop in play. Now it exists to full your opponent hand with trash so that you can mill their good cards

  • Lack of control deck options?

I too lament the lack of viable control decks.I suppose you could consider Dog's pocket galaxy mage a control/combo deck, but that's kind of stretching the definition.

  • Group Therapy! Need to blow off some steam? Mega salty? Here's the place!

Fuck Mill Rogue. That deck is more unfun to play against than fucking Big Priest. Talk about an uninteractive piece of garbage. "Oh look at me! I made you draw your entire deck, and filled my whole deck with one fucking card!" Brainless piece of shit.

  • what is the point of king mukla

i am a new player so forgive me if i miss the point but why does king mukla exsist?

i recently got him and he only does something negative (unless the bananas can be positive for you) so why would hearthstone create such a card?

or is there something good about king mukla that i am missing

well, i say that we shouldn't judge them just by what we saw in the trailer. I mean sure, Elise was way more smiley but she didn't change much personality wise, if at all (see this video). So assuming that the same is going to apply to the others, i give them all a thumbs up.

Unless you're willing to get creative and experimental, right now the control decks available are the ones that are available. You could experiment. I think Shaman is the best candidate for control experimentation right now.

exactly, so if any of you have any particularly exciting ones, would love to take them for a ride. I don't care about win rates other than it would be nice not to lose every game.

In general, I miss being able to counter tier 1 aggro decks with fun things.
