Problems come when you want to play Reno decks or Combo decks: those are expensive, and are much harder to play.
Combo decks might be expensive but if you think harder, you will realize that Reno decks don't have to be expensive. However, it doesn't change the fact that they are hard to play.
As proof, I will share my Budget Reno Warrior deck right here, which is based around Mech Warrior archetype:
Thanks for the feedback, I will keep building new decks every now and then to steal the spotlight 😄
As for your question, in order to answer it, I need to know:
What kind of decks do you like to play?
By small collection, what do you mean? I mean, since when did you start playing Hearthstone?
These questions from my part will help me answer your question even better. If you wish, I suggest to join OutofCards Discord channel, then send me personal message. I can help you even better at there.
I can’t get this deck out of my head. So I calculated the cost for me: I would have to spend all my saved up 8.000 dust and disenchant 8 legendarys (the useless ones I won’t play anyway, expansion cards only). This would be quite a blow for my future possibilities in standard... So... could you answer a few questions to help me make up my mind?
1) I saw screenshots of you reaching rank 4 with the deck in the pepper thread. Is it possible to get to rank 5 with it on a regular basis?
2) I have no idea about the wild meta, but obviously big priest is a thing. How good is this deck against them and other other popular meta decks?
3) Could you please use your fortune telling abilities to predict if there are major changes coming to the deck? I don’t want to invest so heavily just to have 4 new legendaries added to the deck with the new expansion.
Edit: 4) Why no chameleos
Thanks for the guide again, if I should craft the deck, I’ll probably print it out. I’m a priest noob, I’m afraid
It's cheaper than standard, since the card pool is much bigger, it's easier to find good budget decks. You can build a good beast hunter deck for as low as 800 dust that will get you to rank 5 and possibly higher. Mech Hunter, Odd paladin, dragon combo priest, pirate warrior and even shaman are also pretty cheap decks, requiring few legendaries and epics. What classes are you interessted in?
I also really like all of these other decks this week too (Gotta love the good ole Weasel Priest 3:) & I've always wanted to get around to trying Dragon Mage).
Feel free to ask questions here about how certain cards interact and some tips on how the brawl works. Below is what I gathered so far:
All cards that discard: Once discarded, they are out of your deck for good. Cards that discard: Deathwing, Tracking, Felstalker (Succubus), etc.
Cards Returned to hand: Whenever a card is returned to your hand, a second copy will be permanently added to your deck. Cards that return to hand: Sap, Freezing Trap, Youthful Brewmaster, Shadowstep, etc.
Cards Put in Play Other Than Normal Play: This works very similar to the discard function; once pulled from your hand or deck, it's gone. Cards with that effect: Captain Hooktusk, Piloted Reaper, Duel!, Masked Contender, Flark's Boom-Zooka, Coffin Crasher, Darkest Hour, etc.
Tokens: Tokens work the same way as cards being returned to hand; once added to your hand, they are permanently added to your deck.
Cast When Drawn: Unless actually drawn from an effect that draws cards, these do not trigger. They just float in your deck and hand. Cards that add cards to your deck: Wrenchcaliber, Hakkar, The Soulflayer, etc.
...'s Scheme: Doesn't actually upgrade since it shuffles back into your deck.
Lackeys and other card generators: Works the same as when a minion is returned to your hand; the card is permanently added to your deck.
Handbuffs and Cost Reduction Cards: Unless the card was played the same turn the effect occurred, the effect does not remain. Cards with these effects: Prismatic Lens, Ferraki Battleaxe, Far Sight, Luna's Pocket Galaxy, Glowstone Technichian, Call to Adventure, Predatory Instincts, Wing Blast, Soul Infusion, Jepetto Joybuzz, etc. Cards that add cards to your hand will still be added, but won't be modified like they were unless played in the same turn. Cards with these effects: Splintergraft, Academic Espionage, Dire Frenzy, Spirit of the Dead, Bog Slosher, etc.
Echo effects, Twinspells, and cards that repeat themselves: A copy is added to your deck each time you play it plus the one in hand. Formula: X echo cards played, X shuffled in your deck and 1 in hand which shuffles in at the end of the turn. 3 echo cards played, 4 cards shuffled back into the deck total. For Twinspells, a twinspell copy will be shuffled, and a non-twinspell copy will also be shuffled.
Card Interactions:
Unseen Saboteur: This will permanently remove the played spell from your opponent's deck.
Dr. Morrigan: The minion swapped from your deck is gone from your deck permanently. A second copy of Dr. Morrigan will stay in your deck. This will repeat every time the deathrattle is triggered.
The Soularium: This doesn't actually discard the cards. For this brawl, it works as just a Draw 3 cards.
Augmented Elekk: Whenever you play a card or end your turn and draw a new hand, the cards played or not played are shuffled in your deck. This card shuffles a copy of each of those cards added.
Demonic Project and Prince Liam: The minions transformed are permanently changed and will remain in your deck.
Archivist Elysiana: Other than the cards in your hand, this removes ALL cards in your deck including the Archivist Elysiana shuffled in after she was played.
Dreampetal Florist: Her affect happens at the end of your turn, so the cost reduction will occur after you draw a fresh hand.
Shirvallah and Grave Horror: Card works just like constructed.
Please leave any questions, comments, or even how to play suggestions on the below thread. As a courtesy, I ask that this be for people who want to learn how this brawl works. Please leave any salty comments in the salt thread. I personally enjoy this brawl, but I don't like the fact that all these interactions are kind of a trial-and-error system.
I played a version of the same deck, before the nerfs to Prep/Raiding Party and when most people expected to see a different Rogue matchup.
In the current state of the meta, I wonder if the weapon package you’re running isn’t holding you back.
2x Deadly Poison
1x Raiding Party
and 1x Greenskin
devotes 13% of the deck to buffing Spectral Cutlass, and if you’re unlucky enough to pull the Raiding Party when the Cutlasses have already been drawn, you’re wasting a draw that could have gone to value.
Blink Fox feels like an obvious inclusion. Plus you don’t have any other 3 drops except for Fan, which might hurt your curve against non-token aggro.
Tak Nozwhisker is unpopular-ish, but for an Academic Espionage deck that still runs Prep, you do have a chance to fill your hand with 1 cost cards for 9 mana, and to drop one of them on Turn 10 to avoid burn.
Yeah, probably not balanced or feasible, but I'd like to see some more cards like Pogohopper that can take advantage of Togwaggle's scheme. This might cause enormous overdraw problems though before you could start it. Pretty scary to not know how many cards you're about to draw!
FWIW I disenchanted Mukla to get playable legendary cards like Zilliax, Leeroy.
Don't be afraid to disenchant crap legendaries.
If you're a new player, you will find that people will generally tell you not to disenchant cards, which begs the question, then when? Only you can answer that question, my friend.
Now that you can't open copies of legendaries you already own I think it's terrible advice to dust crap legendaries, especially with classic&basic now that blizzard is buffing cards and rotating more proactively.

Mostly, I'm irritated because I can't even turn to casual mode to do gold quests. All I had to do was play some cards. Precisely, I had to play thirty hunter cards. I didn't need to win. I spent my first 15 minutes of quest completion not playing a single card, because warrior after warrior conceded. Did I have mech hunter ready to go in casual when I need to play 30 hunter cards? No, of course not. I had cheapy creepy midrange hunter that has all the hunter cards to play.
All you people who autoconceded could have felt good about yourselves winning the game, letting me slap out my thirty hunter cards not caring about winning.
Casual is too traumatic, obviously. The pressure in casual is making people explode too soon. They can't take it. Especially the warriors. It's too much.
Please make casual a nice place for us all to complete quests for gold. Otherwise, I'm in serious need of a foil hat. Last time I posted here, I said I was going to focus on gold and not rank. What happens? I get delayed on the gold quests all of the sudden when I turn my back on ranked.
If this weird shit continues, I'm not only putting on my foil hat. I'm going to revive the arguments about how matchmaking isn't random and the server is out to get me. I'm going all hard core reviving the arguments about how I changed one card in my deck that caused me to be matched against 16 freeze mages in a row. I'm serious, people. Either hear me or fear my foil hat. I'll put it on and block out your evil bad juju blizzard rays.
Unless you're willing to get creative and experimental, right now the control decks available are the ones that are available. You could experiment. I think Shaman is the best candidate for control experimentation right now.
exactly, so if any of you have any particularly exciting ones, would love to take them for a ride. I don't care about win rates other than it would be nice not to lose every game.
In general, I miss being able to counter tier 1 aggro decks with fun things.
Right, so you're seeking the net deck that hasn't been posted on the net and you're looking for somebody to do the work for you. This is the stage of the game, in the post rotation times, when all you can do is rely on your own abilities to construct decks to deal with your little pocket meta crap, whether in casual or ranked. It's the time of the tech cards. Nothing more to do.
Is the spiteful smith warranted in the deck? You are just running 2 copies of 1 weapon. It just seems like it could be a hit or miss (maybe more of a miss). That and it has to be damaged in order for it to work (your deck would have no problem doing that). Maybe consider something else like Darius? I ran something similar not too long ago, it yielded mixed results. Your deck looks good, thanks for sharing.
It's worth noting that Mukla is from the classic set, and the game was pretty different at the start. Just tempo-ing out a 5/5 on turn 3 could be a solid play in various decks, especially if you had something in hand to deal with your opponent's buffed minion. I remember a time when people would jam Antonidas on turn 7 as a win condition, because chances are he'd live. Today there are way too many ways for him to get killed, silenced, etc. from hand.
Does Mukla have value in the current meta? Probably not, except in some mill scenarios that others have noted above. Of course, he's great to get from Wandering Monster, Exotic Mountseller, etc.
Hello guys, im planning to buy an ipad pro 2018 for my work and of course i want to be able to play hearthstone there...
So i wanted to ask you how is the performance of hearthstone on ipad pro and if you find it satisfying!
I'm not sure about much newer pro, I have somewhat aged iPad 4. While playing hearthstone on it started great, performance of latest expansions has declined. After a 3-5 battles (or maybe respective number of effects played) it slows down to a slideshow (literally 2-3 fps) until you restart.
So, is multitasking in split screen available on ipad pro ( for ex. Twitch and hearthstone)? And if no, then if i open another app and then go back to heartstone, will it reload from the beginning or will continue from where i was?
Again, not sure about pro with newer ios. When switching apps, it usually keeps it alive for a small time, after which it'll have to load again after switching back.

Really surprised Reno isn't a Paladin based on the whole heal mechanic he is known for. Mage works though for a treasure hunter due to all the discover and random cards they end of generating. Looking forward to Murloc Paladin again!
Is this playable without tak?
I've also never played wild before. How competitive is this deck? Thanks for posting!

Faster than people think.
Even and Odd decks have been consistently top tier, and only really require 1x legendary and few epics. And Miracle Mage too btw.
Aggro Druid and Mech Hunter are even cheaper.
Problems come when you want to play Renodecks or Combo decks: those are expensive, and are much harder to play.
But do count in the fact that an investment in Wild stays forever available to play.

Only play since RR but always been interested in playing wild mode.
