Probably getting both, but waiting anyways

  • New Shaman Spell - Corrupt the Waters

^ Even if you run every single jade card available to shaman you still only have 7 summon-a-jade battlecries, and you need to invest 5 battlecries into the quest before you get your reward. I don't think this quest will be very strong with jades for that reason, it seems like far too much setup for not enough payoff.

Well there are tons of ways to gain more. For example rummaging kobold is 9 mana (+2 overload): Summon 1/3, 4x Jades and 2/3 weapon (if you swing the first one) for 1 card + hero power.

Barista Lynchen, Spirit Echo, Fencing coach into next turn shudder, elysiana's cards, bouncers, elementary reaction / discover elementals, bankers, zola all work for the same purpose. Most of these are also BCs which benefit from the hp.

The existence of sludge slurper already means that you have a good chance to trigger the quest without spending too many jade bcs on it.

Ofcourse the card could fail but I see alot of easy synergy with great value. Also as you are running jade spirits and probably walking fountains you could easily add in strong elemental BCs like Kalimos.

I haven't played the deck in wild but back when it was standard I recall the problem was rarely running out of value, it was surviving long enough to get value from all your jades that was the issue. Now that you have Shudderwock and Barista, it's even less likely you'll run out of jades, so I don't think the quest makes the cut. I don't disagree that the card has huge tempo and value potential late game, but the question is whether that's worth hampering your early game with -1 card in your mulligan. My intuition says you'd rather draw your cheap jades and removal more consistently

  • New Warlock Spell - Supreme Archaeology

It looks promising, the question if it's going to be fast enough. Very interesting, a cool design, and just one 0 mana card a turn might not be broken (at least I can't think of a Warlock 0 mana OTK that is worth building a deck around). But I am sure it's going to be fun experimenting with. 4/5

  • Corrupt the Waters

Why would Brann have the same effect as before ? that's boring

  • Reborn: good or bad

The thing with it being its own keyword instead of a desthrattle, is that this doesnt have the same deathrattle synergies, like cards that trigger them twice etc.

  • New Mage Spell - Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron

It's a meme card. Nobody is going to seriously put it in their deck. But thanks to random card generation it will still see some play. Probably some Kalycos-Yogg highlights incoming, but really just a mediocre card. 2/5

  • Reborn: good or bad

    Quote From Lightspoon

I'll be worried if there will be a card that actually gives Reborn to a minion, because that could slip out of hand.

I wouldn't worry about that. There almost certainly will be a card like that, but it probably won't be that strong. Desperate Stand saw absolutely zero play, and neither did Corpse Raiser.

  • Akron's Pocket Blast Mage

Just wanted to let you know I'm having a blast with this deck, it's awesome to find a fun deck (as opposed to all the annoying conjurer's decks out there) to play to try to grind out my ninth golden hero. So far, 9-1 from rank 8, 3 stars up to rank 5.

  • Reborn: good or bad

I think it will be very deck-specific AND depend heavily on the Reborn cards. You'll need to have both to be effective - basically I'm betting it's another Echo that has maybe 2 or 3 cards that see regular play, 1 or 2 that are deck-situational, and the other dozen are never heard from again after launch.

The mummy they revealed probably won't see much play for example because Rush Warrior isn't really a thing. Now if there are Reborn mechs I can see that being good for Mech Warrior/Hunter since it will leave a body to magnetize on after the first death and retain board presence. I could also see it being very good for Res Priest if they get minions that fit into the Res pool effectively. Ditto for Mage if they get heavy targets for Conjurer's Calling. Mainly, however, I'm really hoping for some big neutral/Warlock minions as this keyword seems like exactly what would help push Shuffle Warlock out of meme status. Fel Lord Betrug pulling out Reborn minions who can attack and be retained on-board (more or less) after drawing would definitely help the archetype.

Restless mummy is a more flexible Militia Commander, a card which is in virtually every warrior list out there. The vast majority of warriors run a 5 card rush package of Zilliax, 2 Militia commander 2 Town Crier.

Just because people aren't playing that godawful warrior loa or Akali the Rhino doesn't mean Warriors won't be all over Restless Mummy, that's just silly.

Maybe my local meta is different than yours because I RARELY see any Warriors that aren't 1) Bomb or 2) Pure Mech. The mummy fits in neither and - I would argue though just my opinion - the Reborn doesn't do enough to make it any better than Rabid Worgen which sees no play despite having +1 HP and costing -1 mana.

Do any of those bomb warriors not run Militia Commander? Exactly.

Mummy is strictly better than raging worgen because it's 6 damage for 4 mana rather than 3 for 3. The reborn mummy also rushes. It's a targeted Multishot with upsides.

  • New Shaman Quest Revealed! - Corrupt the Waters

for me it is the opposite, it looks very interesting, but not very playable.

  • New Shaman Quest Revealed! - Corrupt the Waters

if you use the hero power and play drake with 15 health, then on the next turn you play shudderwock without the hero power, then it will only copy the drakes battlecry once.

the hero power makes the single battlcry have double the effect, it does not make 2 separate battlecries.

  • New Shaman Quest Revealed! - Corrupt the Waters

if you have 30,000 dust than you could just craft the couple of missing classic cards. it would only take roughly 4,000 dust, and that would be better than wasting the packs on mostly duplicates.

  • Saviors of Uldum

do you know if we will be getting any packs on release?

  • New Mage Spell - Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron

I mean, yogg-saron never survives past 10 spells anyway, so I guess this is better?

  • Control Paladin

    How to win versus warrior?

  • Untapped Potential

wait, so as long as you leave one mana open this will trigger.

that is amazing, truly an underrated card.

  • New Shaman Spell - Corrupt the Waters

"Electra Stormsurge, because a spell would activate 4 times? Ok, if that works (?)"

It doesn't work that way. If it read "Battlecry: your next spell this turn casts an extra time", then you could get to 3 times casting one spell. But as written, no matter how many times the battlecry procs, it'll only ever cast the next spell "twice."

  • which legendary should i choose

    Quote From Crancher10

I think you can probably safely craft brightwing but hold off on Whitemane. A better legendary in her stead would be something like zilliax as he is relevant to every deck in hearthstone right now just such a valuable heal. He may not look flashy but he gets the job done. Although he will be rotating so keep that in mind.

Yes! Zilliax is (arguably) the best legendary in standard. you can play him in just about every single deck you make. he is versatile and strong.

another wonderful choice would be Whizbang the Wonderful

either one of those would be loads better than brightwing or whitemane

  • Have you pre-ordered the expansion yet?

    Pro

I’m sitting on 3.5 gold and 8k dust and my problem is that I’m considering switching to wild. I’m in love with kovachuts priest dec and if I should really craft it, that would eat all my dust and then some. So... I’m basically waiting for the reveals to make up my mind if I should preorder and which one.

  • Control Paladin

From rank 15-7. It eventually evened out to close to 52%. Still not completely happy with the list. Haven't really touched it and am going to leave it as is until the expansion drops.

^Swampqueen Hagatha, not the hero card, Hagatha the Witch.

You can potentially get two drustvar horrors, each of which can cast their double spells twice. There are some spell combinations that can just autowin the game, like [token generator] + The Storm Bringer, and now you get two rolls for it, not to mention two rolls on the horror itself. If you can afford to pay 9 mana for a 5/5 then Swamp Queen + quest will probably win the game.

Dude, Hagatha the 7 mana 5/5 is too slow to play in any competitive shaman right now, including control ones.  Make it cost +2 with the hero power and it's even worse

What deck is going to let you pass a 9 mana turn?  Control warrior?  They can just brawl your storm bringer board while you draw bombs

This is the equivalent of saying Tak Nozwhisker is broken with Academic Espionage.  You can spend your entire turn getting insane value but it doesn't really matter when even the slowest of opponents is going to punish your for it

Irrespective of the discussion here but worth noting as someone who plays a lot of Burgle Rogue: every single time I've been able to pull off the vaunted turn 10 Tak + Prep + Espionage I have won - probably half the time from auto-concedes. I think some combos that, frankly, are almost instant-game-winners SHOULD BE risky/tough to pull off. Otherwise we have a return to pre-nerf Shudderwock Shaman where everyone is just playing Solitaire until their OTK combo hits and it's game over.

    Quote From Arcsun

Hunter's new hero power will be "Build a Dwarf: create a new minion from two random Dwarfs"

    Warriors will be a random 4 -

    7 armor

    Discover a Dragon

    summon 3 Dragon whelps 1/1

Do 1 damage to all enemies

  • A Case for an Unnerfing and Hall of Faming of Warsong Commander

THIS!  This is what I wanted to say, revert it back to the way it was if you must but change "CHARGE" to "RUSH"
