I am glad vanish is gone. The number of games that I have lost because of that card!! Your heart drops when all your hard work is squandered in an instant.
I already hate this card, but I GUESS you can argue you don't want too many 8-cost cards in Token Druid so maybe it won't see play until that Twinspell card rotates.
I feel the exact same way. I hope it doesn't see much play because Token druid doesn't need any more power.
However, if it doesn't see play now it doesn't mean it won't after the next expansion or two so we may not be out of the woods yet.
I haven't really played much Warlock so I thought this would be a good card to pay after getting a 4 or 5 minions on the board. I'm no good at making decks though so what do I know lol.
This new priest card is so uninteresting and pathetically week... Rogue card can give interesting options and looks good for the arena.... but wasting a card to heal face for 5? I hardly imagine anything to motivate players to play it. Tricky spell synergies? If your deck is built around that then why not play some spells that do something useful?
A really nice feature to have is to hide a specific deck from search results.
Let's say I have a specific deck that I like, dislike, it's a meme-deck or whatever. I don't wan't it to show up in my search anymore. And why would I want it? I have already decided that this deck in particular is ether IN my radad or OUT of my radar.
As a database designer this feature would not only bring pleasure to users (like me), but with a filter and a UNIQUE INDEX you would save some resources as well. It could easily be implemented against a flag in user choice.
I really like this deck but I just can't seem to get anywhere in standard with it. I read the guide (which is great btw) but I can't make it work. I haven't really had any luck with these spirit cards actually.
Oh I see what the problem is.... Your a Mets fan 😏 just kidding🤣
Right now (Rise of Shadows release) there are 64 beasts in standard.
Average cost of Beast minion is 4. Average attack and health of Beast minion is 3/3. This means in average this is something like 7 mana 7/7 in two bodies. Looking that way is quite meh. In arena is quite ok. But average is not telling us that much
31/64 Beasts have attack lower than 3. (0-2). So half of the time you will have no more than 2 attack. 44/64 Beasts have attack 3 or lower. So almost 70% of time you will have meh or worse result. 37/64 Beasts have health 3 or lower. Again more than half of the time (58%) you will have mediocre or worse result.
Ok so maybe not stats but some utility.
Taunt Only 6/64 of Beasts have Taunt. So that's lousy 9%. And from those Taunts only Witchwood Grizzly and Amani War Bear are good.
Charge Only 3 of all 64 Beasts (3/64 5%) have Charge. One of those is awesome (King Krush), one good but only if you have other Beasts, alone is just ok (Tundra Rhino) and one is joke (Stonetusk Boar).
Deathrattle Its not affecting board right away but at least it's some value. But only 5/64 of Beasts have Deathrattle. And even worse those are not good deathrattles. While Savannah Highmane is good one and Shimmerfly is ok (but low stats) rest are not doing much or even worse are good for your opponent (The Beast, but at least it have big stats)
Overall. Chance to roll something at least 5/5 (or higher) is low 12/64 (19%). Chance to have something decent being 1/5 is bad. And chance to high-roll into powerful 4 (Savannah Highmane, King Krush, Shirvallah, the Tiger, Oondasta) is even worse (4/64, 6%).
Right now sadly this minion is damn bad. In Arena it becomes quite ok something like 7 mana 6/6 in two bodies with low chance of high-roll and then being outstanding.
this card is probably one of my favorite hearthstone arts. that steed is adorable!
but other than that there is not much I like about the card. there are too many beast that would be horrible pulls at 7 mana. and even when you get a good beast, at 7+ mana, just putting raw stats is often not good enough.

I imagine they produced it because when Mike Donais suggested Mind Blast was being considered for the Hall of Fame a while back, on the basis of it conflicting with class identity, there was a bit of an outcry largely revolving around how poorly defined many people felt class identities were. I wrote a big long forum post about in on HearthPwn at the time, some of which is a little outdated (because it was pre-RoS and healing in druid looked to have been replaced by armour gain), but for the most part it lines up with what Blizzard wrote.
Anyway, this looks like yet another response to what the community asked for, so good job Blizz again.
Nerf priest, a class that didn't have anyone playing it at a massive tournament, and not hunter or conjurer's calling? Makes sense, guys. (Hearthstone Mathematics just released a video where the stats are getting out of hand for hunter; 1 out of 4 opponents is a hunter, and that's the kind of attention that could start the nerf aim.).
Seems a lot of the new stuff is aimed at buffing (or in Whitemane's case, rezzing) aggro garbage, which we DO NOT need. I have fun playing control against control warrior and other slower decks. Smorc, aggro and stacking mech paladin, not so much, and I find that boring as hell. Whitemane gives you the ability to suicide a board into big minions or taunts or refund your deathrattles. Just getting one suicidal venomous minion back with Whitemane's big body might be worth the drop as well. I'll give it that Whitemane could see play on both aggro and control decks.
The only bright spot is most of these are high mana cost, which may keep all but Whitemane and Siegebreaker in demon decks from seeing play.
Do like SI:7 just for giving a permanent anti-secret tech (if we ever need or can run it again; when you have too many aggro decks in the meta or player base, tech tools such as this and OTK disruptions fall in favor of multiple mass removals, which makes the game repetitive and boring to me). I can see conjurer's mages experimenting with the Barrens Stablehand. Brightwing is a fun low-cost dragon, but RNG isn't playing well at the moment (how many Madam Lazuls or mech pinatas get play?). You could argue Brightwing dilutes the dragon pool, especially if you end up with worse junk like Duskfallen Avianna or Milhouse as your battlecry reward.
Speaking as a long-time priest player, I prefer Mind Blast as a finisher than Inner Fire, btw. IF is the inverse of Bloodlust and Savage Roar; instead of waiting for a packed minion board, you just need one high health minion for an OTK. It's for decks that have nothing and it's a lazy mechanic. Mind Blast takes a set-up to kill, not to mention some earlier pressure (you're not likely to kill a 30-health opponent or anyone stacking armor).
/make Shadowform useful, please
Yeah, i was wondering why you would see Hunter and Conjurer's call an issue but not Warrior that can pretty much play removal on curve nowadays removing a lot of skill from playing Control Warrior. But you already gave your answer!
Worry not, my jolly healers: come August, and Priest will receive 38 new resurrect cards. And in September, our dear lords will share us the good news they're keeping an eye on Barnes.
i think rogue need more lifesteal or another heal, rogues become too slow(exept goldfish with pogos),thats why rogue need to upgrade lifesaving ability.
A lot of Epics are trash. Biteweed, Forbidden Ancient, Glacial Mysteries (one of the very worst cards in the game), there's more. Just because it's an Epic doesn't make it good..
Vanish is mass AoE (kind of) in rogue, and stands as a good example of where basic and classic cards are no longer in line with class design. I made a thread about evolving class identity on HearthPwn a while back and flagged Vanish as a card that could justifiably be targeted. (In fact that thread was a response to disbelief about Mike Donais suggesting Mind Blast moving, which is fitting.)
Poisonous however is still very much in rogue, albeit a part that has long been under-/un-used, and replacements to HoF cards do seem to be about re-aligning the evergreen sets with current class identity.
Couldn't it also achieve the same as mind blast, given that you have effects such as Embrace the Shadow? With less mana, though you need the healing to damage activator.
New Rogue Minion - Plaguebringer
I am glad vanish is gone. The number of games that I have lost because of that card!! Your heart drops when all your hard work is squandered in an instant.

However, if it doesn't see play now it doesn't mean it won't after the next expansion or two so we may not be out of the woods yet.
New Warlock Minion - Siegebreaker
Probably my favorite of the new non-Legendary cards. A big Taunt that supports a Demon tribal deck; it's going in my Demonlock for sure.

Its little better, as 11/64 (17%) of Beasts have Rush.
But again most of them are have lousy stats, only 4 are Good (Shirvallah, the Tiger, Oondasta, Akali, the Rhino, Amani War Bear) and Vilebrood Skitterer can be counted as ok one.
