Trouble with uploading images and editing posts goes far beyond current drama. The site/forum tools were/are so outdated, run on an archaic system and were not managed properly by Curse/Fandom, so many things dont work as they should. I dont know if the new owners knew what they were gettin themselves into, but managing and/or even ideally (for them) transforming the site to be more user friendly will require an enormous amount of investment and effort, not sure they are ready for that. Only time will tell.
The change in the situation (shutdown > not shutdown) happened so fast, they probably werent ready for the task at all. Fired all of us mods without a single word and brought back some old mods who havent been active for literally years and have forgotten how stuff is done/handled plus they obviously are trying to stop the bleeding out of their user base to a competitive site anyway they can. And they apparently are not goin about it in a most friendly way.
I dont agree with how they handled many things so far, they will probably hire new mods soon tho from ppl who stayed, but the transition will be far from smooth and the work requires much more than ppl think, if you want to do your job well that is. Guess we will see how they fare after a while.

I probably still would have died the turn after, don't quite remember, but if I play into my opponent's tools ofcourse I'm gonna get punished. I like baiting my opponents into my tools too, it's part of the game. And games are a fun pastime, if it's no longer fun I quit and do something else.
What is even the point in getting frustrated grinding ranks if all you ever want is just reach legend but not have fun at it? It has become routine as opposed to fun. Quit for a week, should be long enough to forget the game if you are genuinely no longer having fun at it. And otherwise simply come back. One week won't set you back.
Very few decks actually have cards to support solid control archetypes with the current card pool and there are very good tools for fast tempo decks, so yeah, thats why. These changes, or any, will probably not help in this regard.
What I feel a lot of people forget is that each random choice is a new instance. With 100 rolls you don't have 50% chance to roll 50 or higher half the time. You have 100 times 50% chance to roll 50 or higher each time.

Take a look a few different pairs playing... It's like a deja'vu... Warrior vs Rogue or Warrior vs Warrior. Actually, it's a bit boring watching same decks over and over. I understand, that players choose the most efficient decks. But that's describe the current meta situation a lot.
When something is too much optimized and not tied to a single Class, it will soon spread all over and then becoming a bit boring to face again and again and again with just some little differences.

I don't care which party is the guilty one, all I know is I want to support the people that made heartpwn what it was, and I simply do not have faith in the new guys with 'several gaming sites' Who's to say they will have as much passion for hs?
Cool deck. Changed Sap with Face collector tho. I simply cant lay steal rogue without Face collector event tho it suck most of the time
Not sure there enough steal cards for valuable Tess. Without bounce and shark there only 4 of them. However, it might be beauty of this deck, you can adjust your play according to what you facing and get a lot of value if you really need it (looking at control warriors contemptuously). Looks pretty cool anyway, I'll play it instead of my steal rogue for now

Cool deck! I recently opened Akali, the Rhino and have been thinking about a Big Beast Warrior with things like Oondasta and Amani War Bears to make use of him. Might try modifying this deck's shell a bit to try it out!
After we got the buff patch from Hearthstone, it popped into my mind maybe the Nerf a Card forum could be more. The idea behind it was that we wanted people to go the Blizzard route with card changes and since all they did was nerfs until the latest patch, that made the most sense.

It's also a VERY old and loaded topic from hearthpwn that keeps showing up. We've been debating this topic for the past 5 YEARS in the old forums. To the point where they flat out banned the topic if it didn't come with data.
So it's a trigger yes. Feel free to bring up other ones like offering nerf suggestions for the coin or blaming blizzard for northshire cleric showing up 5 times out of 10 against you.
No one can say 100% one way or another without seeing the match making algorithms (which we'll never have access to).
I would say it happens too often that match making works against you for it to be completely random. I lost count a long time ago of the times I tech against a popular deck and then never see it but if I remove the tech options from that deck I instantly get the deck I originally was trying to counter.
You'll get people trying to prove to you with their 'facts' but the truth is only Blizzard knows.
What bugs me about these ideas is that it's always ALWAYS against the person posting it. If a match making algorithm isn't random then whatever system is being used should have the reverse as well: people who, no matter what changes they make, keep getting good matchups. Once a system is no longer random, it becomes a solvable puzzle that can be manipulated and gamed.
"only blizzard knows" is a cop out. The entire field of Statistics is meant to show the pattern behind the random, and humans are notorious for being very bad at hiding non-random elements. Whatever non-random system people claim, beyond any "it will know you are looking for it and hide itself" theories (which is solve by toning down on your distopian sci-fi stories), you can show evidence to suggest it actually exists.
That's not to say "It would've been found if it exists." I can very much believe that those that disagree do so blindly while those that believe ..well, do so blindly, and nearly no one has actually bothered a long-form testing, given how bloody impossible it is to actually see anyone post results either way.
But put down the "no one could know the truth.. so anything can be true" card here. It's not a good way to quiet or ignore dissent and it's far too good at ignoring whatever information doesn't fit your current bias when it SHOULD be used to question your own beliefs as well. It also spits on a very major branch of mathematics in this case.

Tried out the Priest, it’s a ton of fun. Not extremely competitive, but also not completely a meme. One tip though; be wary of your targets with Cabal Shadow Priest, as it might get resurrected!
