For those working at this goal, yes, it takes time and limiting yourself to the ones you need. I started playing around Naxx, so I've had almost 5 years to do this. My highest count is mage at 551, because I basically stop playing a class once it's golden. This is a bummer, because I like to play all classes, never really focused on any one. Early on it was no big deal, got Warlock so I can play the other 8. But I've been maining Warrior now for a few months. As Traf pointed out, games are super long with control warrior. I switched over to wild aggro mech warrior to cheese out the last 15 wins. You can hate me for that if you like, but the final win was so sweet (druid left my frothing berserker up because he had a wall of scarabs, which I cleared with a weapon, a Korkron, and an execute).
The feeling of freedom is great now, as I can mess around with whatever I like. C'mere, Guldan old buddy, I've missed you so...
Congrats OP! I think it is a difficult task that requires dedication and playing classes don't want to at times. I have Pala/Hunter golden at the moment and would enjoy being able to have the full cast of 9 golden characters one day!
Decklists weren't available at the time of writing. Should a public link to all of them exist, I'll add it to this post. We'll also add the top 8's decks to the site once the tournament progresses that far.
Looks like I am in a minority who doesn't care about grinding golden heroes. Currently sitting at 2795 wins with Jaina and 1730 with Tyrande while Valeera and Uther are still non-golden.
Before that, only Tempo swings should be allowed (ie bodies with efficient stats/effects), but NEVER deviations from the mana curve (ie summoning stuff from much higher in the mana curve, eg Big Priest, but also Voidcaller).
If those rules were strictly applied when designing new cards, Wild could hardly ever get broken again. Powerful but not broken.
I've seen this one, but I like the Thunderhead variant more. Totemcarver is reliant on keeping a wide board of totems, of course you could highroll 8/8, but Fireguard is generally a 5/6 for the same cost with overload synergy. Don't really like Dire Wolf that much with Shaman, I feel like a well placed Zap helps me out in more situations, plus - overload synergy. Also, no Aya, so subbed Ragnaros for her.
It's dawning on me that the Corpsetaker version, while at times cool, may be slightly slow for current Wild meta, though in this case Hex and 8 mana legendaries may be slowing it down.
That's another thing - big, legendary goons in Even Shaman, yay or nay? I run both LK and Rag myself, but I'll let someone else speak on it first.
Playing since the closed beta, I'm still missing aroung 70 wins with warriors. Control warrior is relatively good atm, but matches are so time consuming ...
if you use it and just sit there picking whatever it tells you without looking at the other cards than yes it would dull your skills.
I like to use it, but I also draft with my brain too. I don't always pick what it tells me, I will look at the cards, and then make a decision based on the cards tier, my current deck, and what HearthArena says. and it has helped me to become a better arena player.
my first 3 runs after downloading heartharena were 11 wins, 8 wins, and 6 wins or something like that. I just remember getting 3 drafts and still having 40 gold left over.
So basically, if you do not have a big board going by turn 6/7 you are screwed :)
Lately, I see a number of decks that try to "cheat" the big minions early:
mountain giants icm cost reduction mechanics
magnetic stuff icm cost reduction cards (Paladin, Hunter, Priest? every class atm)
Van Cleef
Scavenging Hyena, Dire Frenzy
And in general the AOE removal/bord clear is much more a problem than before, since with the token decks you will need not one, not two but sometimes 3 or more bord clears, and in the mean time also build your own bord. And it's almost impossible to remove a board on turn 5 with 4 mountain giants on it. I think this is one of the reasons why we now have such an aggro heavy meta: the aggro decks do not have to be afraid of a lot of bad matchups, only a few can really challenge them.
Not only is the matchmaking not rigged, you just happened to be unlucky, but only three games as a sample size and you think the game is rigged? That amount is beyond low and completely negligible.
Holy hell that was a guide! Well-written, very in depth with stats and humour, my next ones will probably be inspired by yours!
I really love this kind of off-meta decks! I played big Shaman earlier this expansion, and your guide made me want to go play it again.
I don't run Hagatha the Witch in my version, because I don't have the card and I feel like it would not generate much value, given the poor number of minions this deck contains.
All 9 Golden Heroes!
So many good vibes on this thread, I love it!

Zeeland's Legend Spell Shaman
all you need is one murloc and then underbelly angler and generate a board full of frog-human monsters! trust me it is worth it.

At what turn is the crazy stuff allowed to start
Imo, 8+.

Luckily, I have the 8 other classes golden :)

Shouldn't be as many since most of them will be almost identical aside from the sideboards

[Legend 65%] Pogo Lackeys
Can I include a Leeroy Jenkins?
Naga Duel Paladin
Sounds good until you get murdered 10 games in a row by turn five....wish it could work though.

maybe for you, I actually have the most wins on warrior, can't remember now but I think it's the only class for me with 300+ wins ;
All 9 Golden Heroes!
Congratulations! I currently have three: Warrior, shaman, and druid. (In order I've obtained them)
Warlock is like half way there, and so is hunter and mage, but pally, priest, and rogue are like all less than or around 100 xD
I started playing during LoE btw.

Get fucked, Mech Hunter in casual.
Bro, do you Even Shaman?
Why aren't you running the good even shaman list? (Minus the windfury)
WTF matchmaking

Witch's Chop Shop | Mech Token Priest
yeah loot hoarder is better actually
All 9 Golden Heroes!
Grats! Certainly takes a while to accomplish. I was able to finally get my 9th recently as well.
Yep. After RoS released i could only okay druid and rogue, but now i am free.

Do you guys experience the "golden hero dilemma"? Where you always want to play a hero, you haven't in gold yet?
