BEHOLD! Big Recruit Warrior
- Big Warrior
- Wild
- Ranked
WELCOME!
Inspired from this deck, I wanted to make my version, and I really liked the results of it. It looks more consistent, and every pull from either Barnes or Gather Your Party/Dimensional Ripper/The Boomship is worth it. If your "Big" senses are tickling, and you hate Big Priest but looking for a good and fun alternative option, this deck is just for you.
Update: I'm very sad to state that Dr. Boom, Mad Genius will be nerfed soon. Since Dr. Boom, Mad Genius was used as a continuous value generator thanks to Delivery Drone, changing Dr. Boom to 9-Mana will make this factor irrelevant due to hard-execution. Thus, it's time to go back the roots with a pure Big archetype approach. Also, Barnes is nerfed as well but not much a big deal in this deck because "big stuff" starts at turn 5 onwards.
(Big Warrior is so fun!)
HOW TO PLAY?
No matter what deck you are playing against, always keep Revenge/Warpath/Blood Razor. In short, keep your AOE cards to survive against Aggro or anything until turn 5 to play your Direhorn Hatchling for defense or turn 6 (Gather Your Party). Then, have a blast with your Big minions.
In this deck, Recruit or Summon mechanics are more consistent. If you have a look at these examples, then you can see why:
- Gather Your Party >>> Hits Vargoth >>> BEHOLD!
- Dimensional Ripper >>> Hits Vargoth >>> BEHOLD! (Twice)
- Barnes>>Grand Archivist>>Gather Your Party/Dimensional Ripper/The Boomship>>BEHOLD!
- Barnes >>> Silver Vanguard >>> Kel'Thuzad >>> BEHOLD!
- Silver Vanguard >>> Pulls Rotface out >>> Hurt Rotface >>> BEHOLD!
- You name it!
(Everything is going to be so Big!)
Jokes aside, Silver Vanguard is the MVP here. If you pull out Kel'Thuzad or Grand Archivist, then you can start building a huge army. Examples above are clear as a cystal, so don't forget to check. Otherwise, use Emperor Thaurissan to close the gap between you and your minions.
SO MANY CHOICES...
Here are the cards I forgot to mention, or look for substitions:
- The Boomship: Pulls three big minions, then you can trade for board control.
- Blatant Decoy: Dirty Rat from both sides are good for you. You can pull your Big minion while disrupting a combo piece of your opponent? Guess nerfing Dr. Boom, Mad Genius will worth utilizing it but I may switch to another Big minion such as Sneed if the results aren't good enough.
- Geosculptor Yip: He is like Big Bad Archmage but better. Reason is: You can Recruit him via Silver Vanguard, and if you have more Armor, you can summon good drops other than 6-Mana ones. Any good 8-Mana minions (Sneed/Lich/Ragnaros etc.) or any good Big minion (Big Bad Archmage/Ysera etc.) should do the trick if you don't have Yip.
- Rotface: Since we have Warpath/Blood Razor/Revenge, why don't we utilize him well? He is 8-Mana, thus a good target for Silver Vanguard. So, hurt Rotface to raise an overgrowing army of Legends. As for card alternatives for Rotface, they are same as I recommended for Yip, so have a look above.
- Grand Archivist: His job is to trigger Gather Your Party/The Boomship/Dimensional Ripper. Since he costs 8-Mana, you can pull him via Silver Vanguard.
- Brawl: Ok, I know, hitting Archivist into Brawl isn't that good when you are ahead. However, it can be a life-saver against Aggro matches. If needed, use Abomination/Baron Geddon/Tunnel Blaster, which are Big minions that have AOE to replace Brawls. Still though, if you are going to ask me which one would fit better, I would choose Brawl over anything else because it's the best board-clear.

ALTERNATIVE BUNDLES
You don't like my strategy or you lack some cards? Maybe this bundle will help you, if you are interested:
1. My Face is So Big that I Don't Want to be Punched Out!
It might be the case if you don't want to be punched out by Aggro players. So, here is your bundle...

That's all for this one. Kudos to Juzam75 for his inspiration. If you have any questions, ask me anytime. Have fun in Wild format!

I don't like Yip here because you don't have much armor. I replaced with Ragnaros.
Do what your heart desires. Hope it works out well for you.
Cool deck! I recently opened Akali, the Rhino and have been thinking about a Big Beast Warrior with things like Oondasta and Amani War Bears to make use of him. Might try modifying this deck's shell a bit to try it out!
i like the idea behind recruit or summon mechanic. Just wondering is not brawl and grand archivist hurts ?
While the odds of happening Archivist into Brawl might hurt you when you are ahead, this combo can be a life-saver against Aggro matchups. All kinds of Big decks need to survive against Aggro matches, that's why I added Brawl.
Got everything but Rotface. What's the better replacement - Ragnaros ot the Lich King?
Lich King because Taunt and resources are better than 8 dmg random.
