Not fall into the complacent lackadaisical work ethic that we had on Hearthpwn in the last few year. Content quality fell a lot in the past year.
Use this new found energy to keep the site lively and thriving. Create content continuously and not just when a news story breaks from Blizzard. You can't build a site on news alone. Articles about CCG's in addition to news would be great and more of a reason to come back. Inspire discussions and interest. DIg deeper into the games beyond just pasting Blizzard press releases and have actual articles about the games. So many topics that can be explored beyond nerfs and new cards. It will get people more involved in the site and coming back often. A great model is 'Blizzard Watch' and what they do and they are a successful website that was created from a corporate entity shutting 'WoWInsider' down.
When you add in dozens more of the same thing the value of them goes away and they are meaningless. If you collected each and every one then the fun of them goes away as well as the value they are to Blizzard - which is one way they generate revenue - heroes.
If this was a non-profit free game then sure but it isn't. It is a game for profit and a pay to play game.. and the ones who pay subsidize the free users so that there are enough people playing.
Impossible to change your mind as you think you should get everything for free and don't understand basic concepts of revenue generation for long term growth and sustainability.
Been playing since Vanilla - minus a stretch between Blackrock Mountain and the very beginning of Un'Goro - and I've opened four of them: Nozdormu, Ragnaros, Lightlord, The Caverns Below, and The Beast. I still have the Ragnaros, but I destroyed the other three. I was fortunate enough to have my copy of The Caverns Below during its second nerf period, so I received the full 3200 dust :D
I do own a golden copy of Boommaster Flark, but he was guaranteed because of the Boomsday preorder bundle.
I tend to open a golden paladin legendary per expansion - which makes me incredibly lucky - but I also tend to get the ones that don't see much play ... The Darkness, Lynessa Sunsorrow, Bolvar Fordragon, Prince Liam, to only list a few. My very 1st one was Nat Pagle and I have since then lost track since my dragon affliction for shiny makes me a collector of them. I'd say I almost got one per expansion since TGT ^^
this deck is an absolute blast! it's easy to pilot, extremely powerful and a ton of fun to play with on the ladder. Adding my boy togwaggle just makes the games even more interesting. I made a video showcasing the deck in all of its glory, I really hope you guys enjoy.

Small, dumb suggestion. Why not have it be “Change a Hearthstone Card” or “Rebalance a Hearthstone Card”. This might drum up more discussion about what’s too good or bad instead of just making the forum about wanted nerfs. Or that’s too similar to Card Discussion. Idk.
Just got my 500th win with Warrior, completing my set of Golden Heroes! Yes, I made a post just to brag, but I'm really proud of it. Ok, enough about me. Who else wants to brag?
The best advice i've ever gotten/can give about hearthstone is to not be results oriented, be performance oriented. Being good at hearthstone is skill dependent, but not always skill rewarding. Sometimes you can make the best plays available and you still just have pretty much no chance. It's a one on one game, so you are going to lose a lot, because only one of you can win. If you focus on playing well, winning or losing is inconsequential.
But also, you should play your games out. Sometimes you draw the nuts and still lose. I can't tell you how many games I seriously considered conceding just to save time, but played the game out and won. Always play to your outs. If there is a way to win, even if it's low percentage, go for it.
Out of interest would you simply prefer it if there were just heaps of different hero portraits to choose from or is it these particular characters / art works that you like?
I just love these new characters. We had a few different characters in the other solo adventures, but these are much better. Blizzard put more effort in them than in the previous cases like in the Rumble Run and they made unique and interesting chatacters that's why I want to obtain them, or atleast one of them.
I don't want them to release a bunch of skins, but they do it anyway! They just released the Thunder King and yes he is cool, but they only changed the aninations a little bit, he has no special interactions with any hero/minion/spell. The quality of the Dalaran Heist alternate heroes is nearly at the level of the Thunder King (some of them have more depth, but that is subjective). So my point is that they release okayish hero portraits, as someone else said before, because of that the value of the skins will decrease eventually.
If we could choose just one of the 9 portraits after we bought all the chapters that would not hurt them too much imo and this way you could show your dedication to your favourite class etc etc. My point is that they are wasting these characters. Yes maybe they will return in the next solo content, but probably not.
