  • Command the Dreadhorde Deck

    Man this looks so cool!

The ideia seems to be: survive and avoid dmg with Walls, remove everything, heal a bit (absolute necessity in a mono-red meta), mass remove everything a bit more until you can pull “The Wanderer” + “Command the Dreadhorde” and put both WHOLE graveyards in your board!?

    Is that... it??

(Runs to grind a bit more)

  • Help: Quest mage

What class are you playing OP? With all of the freezes available to mage on top of Ice block in wild, you might be better off playing an aggro deck that runs a significant burn or weapon component (rogue, shaman, warrior) rather than something minion-based like Zoo.

Full disclosure, I don't regularly play wild.

Decks are not private though we may add the functionality in the future.

Some decks not displaying on Google is simply Google not yet indexing the content. Since the site is just growing, we have to show Google we're awesome enough to get indexed. I do submit a dump of deck urls to them on a daily basis which helps with the process.

I literally don't have any prolbems with other decks. Only this archetype give me brain cancer with it's interaction with Archmage Vargoth(5 addational turn in a row. Sounds balanced). And other, and most of all, those idiotic, disgusting Frost Nova. Those five Vargoth couldn't be possible if the mage wouldn't have had 5(always feels like 99999 piece of) Frost Nova, by discovering it trough Magic Trick, [Hearthstone Card (Primodial Glyph) Not Found], or simply given by [Hearthstone Card (Arcane cyclone) Not Found].

It's sound just whining, but this deck disgust me, and sometimes makes me hate the wild ladder(otherwise i love MUCH more than the current standard). Even the dreaded big priest now looks like a bad meme deck for me.

Never apologize for featuring Esparanta! He one of the best Wild deckbuilders when it comes to creative and wacky decks.

  • Are decks on this website private?

Your deck can be found in the deck lists section, just order it by submission date rather than upvotes and it's on the first page. You can also find it by going to your profile and clicking on 'decks'.

  • Are decks on this website private?

Yesterday, I have created a deck.

    1) the deck is visible in the relevant deck lists in the website.

    2) You cannot find it in Google.

    3) Even when you type the name of the deck with "Outof.cards", you can't find it.

    Any ideas why?

  • Tracking - is it worth it?

    Quote From AliRadicali

^ I've seen plenty of pro players hold Tracking on the mulligan and play it on turn one. Of course the difference between competitive play and ladder is that you typically know what your opponent is playing, often down to the exact decklist, so you can formulate a game-plan and anticipate what cards you are going to need several turns from now.

Still, I don't think holding tracking is a rookie mistake per se, I think the real distinction is in whether the player makes the correct decision when offered a tough choice or just picks the Zul'Jin ten times out of ten.

I totally agree with you and I don't think I've said anything that contradicts what you're saying. There are lots of examples in Hearthstone history to show that playing Tracking on turn 1 can be a really good idea. My hypothetical for Standard is a good example: you're facing a mage and it could be the type that drops a huge minion early. You can keep yourTracking in your mulligan plus any high-cost spell and use the Tracking card early, even on turn 1. This could also be true for when you suspect your opponent is going to be a control deck. Right now in Standard it's tough to mulligan when facing Shaman (Control? Murloc? Big), another Hunter (Secret? Mech? etc?), Rogue (Hooktusk?Chef Nomi? Pogo? Combo?), Mage (because "Tempo Mage" variants are suddenly returning because players have started to get the idea that they see a mage so it must be conjurer, so now a lot of mage decks start out looking like big spell or tempo and then build up a big board).

IMHO, one thing to learn from this thread is that it's never a mistake to throw the Tracking card back into the deck in the mulligan phase simply because there are a lot of times when you don't know what archetype you're facing and Tracking is in fact much more powerful later in the game in a lot of situations. Now, let's say you mulligan and after that you draw a Tracking. You read the game and decide an early Tracking play is a good idea. There you go. Beneficial early Tracking play.

When I say I think it's a mistake to play early is when it's just something a player does to spend the mana on turn 1. That's not a good play. You play a card when you think you have a plan. Just throwing a Tracking out there on turn 1 just because you have 1 mana is not really a well-thought-out play, don't you think

  • Art for custom cards

    Quote From Demonxz95

First thing's first, when you do find a piece of artwork you use, always save it into your computer. This way you don't need to re-find the image if you need to make a change to a card.

Typically, I just Google Images. Typing "______ fantasy art" you usually does the trick. Sites like Artstation, Deviantart, or Pinterest can provide good artwork to use. In the case of Artstation and Deviantart, you may end saving the name of an artist somewhere so you can use their artwork later. For artworks that more resemble Blizzard creations, blizz-art.com is a good source.

In the event that you find a good piece of artwork you like but you're not ready to use just yet, you can save it in advance so you can use it later.

This is exactly what I do. http://www.blizz-art.com has some good stuff but if I can’t find what I want I use google or the art collection from the primer thread

Ah, I didn't realise that you could deselect with ctrl. That helps, but it's not entirely intuitive, at least not for me.

  • Help: Quest mage

Please, anyone, give me any advice againts quest mage. I only play aggro, because i have a really small chance to win againts it. I put an Eater of Secrets to my decks, so i can finish them, but it's not enough.(Addational info: Rank4-5:I played jade druid, then i switched to murloc shaman, and now odd paladin)

  • Archetype Prediction - Thief Priest

Thief Priest archetype is definitely nice to see. Throughout the past many expansions, there were similar cards like that, a bit of here and there. But not very consistent or strong to make it viable.

  • Card search feedback

The idea is people can filter by many expansions at once if they want to. Much like how you can do the same with classes. A good example is to easily link to a listing of all Standard cards.

It isn't fully prettied up yet though, that is to come.

  • Card search feedback

You can clear them by holding control and clicking currently, but you're not wrong.

  • Card search feedback

Presently in the card search function, the "expansion" filter works differently from the others: it's not a drop-down list with a scroll bar, rather, it's just a teeny tiny scroll bar that can only display three options at a time. Furthermore, there doesn't seem to be a "null" option, so once you've selected an expansion, and you want to search for cards from multiple expansions, or you're not sure of the expansion, you have to reload the search tool.

I don't really see a reason for that filter to work differently from the others, which are much more convenient.

  • Swing Cards

My main criticism would be that I think your definition of "swing card" is overly broad and as a result most of these cards aren't very swingy. The way I would define the term is a card that capitalises on the opponent being ahead (on board, in resources) and turns that advantage around (or at least evens it). Very obvious examples would be Unleash the Hounds, Divine Favour or Brawl, all of which easily set up an uneven exchange for the two players. Less obvious examples would be Thunderhead or Unleash the Beast, both of which you really want to play into a board so you can capitalise on the rush mechanic to reverse the roles and put *you* ahead on board.

Disregarding the swing theme for a moment, I think most of these cards are too underpowered, with the exception of Smoke Bomb which will never ever see print because it has the exact same problems as Conceal, which was hall-of-famed for its sins. The card is too good at setting up Auctioneer turns and lethals without providing the opponent reasonable counterplay options.

The Ram is solid but it's battlecry will hardly ever be relevant. If/when you ever empty your hand, will you really be concerned about +1 attack on your 2/2 minion? The reason Quick Shot was played and Core Rager was not is that drawing a card is more relevant than ever when your hand is empty, and direct damage is the thing you want to be doing as a hunter in topdeck mode, not developing minions or trading the board. It the ram had battlecry: gain charge if your hand is empty, at least you could topdeck it for an extra 2 face damage.

Camouflage strikes me as too narrow a card to warrant maindeck inclusion, although it might be a good sideboard card in specialist against specifically OTK Paladin. A spellbender-like effect that can protect your board would probably fit better with what most Hunter decks are trying to do, which is establish an early board advantage and ride that out to victory.

Dreadhound scamp isn't powerful enough IMO. Even if you hit it in your disco lock, you're summoning a free 1/2 instead of discarding it. If you compare it to past discard enablers -that rarely saw play mind you- like Clutchmother Zavas, Silverware Golem, Fist of Jaraxxus or High Priestess Jeklik, the payoff seems pitiful.

I like the idea behind Rot and Decay but I think a more elegant & powerful way to word the card would be to give all your minions poisonous for one turn. This would be very strong, but still situational. You still need a board full of tokens/weenies, an enemy board of tall minions and the card itself to get value out of it.

Finally, I don't see gutterspark working well in any sort of mage deck. A 5 mana holy smite is just awful, especially in the mage class which has an abundance of burn spells and generally lacks minions. If you ever get five of your own minions killed as a mage, are you really that excited about dealing two damage for zero mana?

Overall I think you should take into consideration what the deck that would feature any of these cards is trying to accomplish: What is the overall game-plan? How does the proposed card enable that plan or thwart the opponent's counters to it?

Agreed, this would be an awesome feature to have.

  • Tracking - is it worth it?

I agree with almost everything in favor of tracking that has been said in this thread except for that "Lethal 100% of the time" comment which I think was an attempt at sarcasm. I laughed a little, anyway, because if you've ever faced a Hunter using tracking late game and you're down on health you've probably held your breath a little!

In my attempt to be helpful, I'll share how I use it in my Hunter decks and the reason why I might not include it. Not including it has nothing to with discarding cards. As a lot of people have mentioned, you're not really discarding them because you haven't received them in your hand yet. The concept behind using it wisely is this: You don't need all the cards in your deck to win the match. You need the right cards. Tracking helps you get the right card when you need it.

Here is a list of how, when, and why I play tracking. I hope it helps the OP out in the quest for the Golden Rexxar (keep in mind I don't play in Wild format):

    1. Mulligan: I hardly ever keep Tracking unless I think I'll need it early on in the game. If I suspect I might need it early on in the game it's because I'm going first so I don't have an extra card with a coin and the situation makes me think I might want to keep a card that costs 4+ so I keep the 4-mana card and Tracking so I can fish for something to play on turn 3 or 5 if necessary. An example: I think my Mage opponent is going to have a Mountain Giant. A spell dealing 4 or more damage to a minion is a keeper because I probably don't need to put anything on the board on turns 1 or 2. For most situations, it's better to throw the Tracking back into the deck and draw something else because Tracking is a good late game card and not so good early in the game.
    2. Against Bomb Warrior or any other opponent that shuffles cards into my deck: After my opponent has shuffled a lot of garbage into my deck I look for a chance to play Tracking. This allows me to eliminate the bombs or whatever other damaging cards that were shuffled in and I can draw a useful card.
    3. Bomb or Mech Hunter: Tracking is very handy for fishing for Leeroy, Venomizer, or any other necessary card that can be used to wipe the board or finish off the opponent.
    4. Midrange Hunter: A good late game card to use when you're in need of the card you know is in there but hasn't surfaced. The later into the game you play your Tracking, the better your chances will be of finding what you're looking for and disregarding what you don't need because your deck is lower on cards. It isn't really for card draw anymore because of Master's Call, which is far better for that need to draw cards. This is why a lot of Midrange decks only have one copy of Tracking these days (or none at all).
    5. Secret Hunter: Tracking is not useful for this deck, usually, if you have Subject 9, so it isn't usually included in the deck.

A lot ofplayers that don't have a lot of experience with Hunter or with Hearthstone often use Tracking when they're going first and have only 1 mana available, thinking that this is a good way to use a turn that would otherwise be passed without playing anything. This is usually not the best way to use Tracking. Tracking is much more powerful, in most situations, later in the game.

I hope this helps a little and good luck in getting your golden hero! I'm working on getting Rogue and Warrior golden portraits at the moment.
