But what I really wanna know is - who else is excited to cook up some sweet mill deck strategies!? What's your thoughts on Maokai's overall design? 

So we know how the duplicate protection works for regular cards -- once the cards are all marked as "collected" in a given set, whether you dusted them or not, that rarity becomes totally random with no duplicate protection.

My question is -- do we know which order the duplicate protection happens in for golden cards? What I mean is, does it first check your collection to see if you have collected all the commons, then roll for whether you're getting a regular or golden common, and then choose which card? Or does it first check for whether you're getting a regular or golden common, then check if you have all the golden commons "collected" from this set, and then choose which card? In which case you can effectively not open duplicates of golden cards unless you already collected them all?

My first guess was "definitely not", but since the patch I have opened six golden cards (four commons and two rares), as well as getting a golden Bronze Gatekeeper as an arena reward, and none of those seven were duplicates. The sample size is really small, obviously, so I'm guessing the community as a whole will know?

Even with the pre-order packs from Outland, it's pretty unlikely to get a 3rd golden common or rare to disprove the duplicate protection is happening for golds. Anyone out there experienced this yet?

I'm thinking about crafting Zixor, Apex Predator for a variation of Dragon Hunter with Scavenger Ingenuity (tutor for Phase Stalkers too). Has anyone tried it, does it feel like a strong improvement on the original deck?

Can someone try this?

So I've noticed some kind of jo-jo effect when playing ladder. It starts by climbing from diamont 5 diamont to diamont 3/2 without any major problems and then I suddenly start going back to diamont 4.

Does that mean that I'm unlucky or that the deck is actually bad and I was just lucky to get that far?

It seemed really great in the beginning when you don't see the opponent rank and you think "cool, I'm matching against opponents with my winrate"... but I reached legend since yesterday and I thought of playing some meme decks (as you do in legend). But then i got bored and I started to play seriously again and since I'm legend I can see my opponents rank. I've been destroying diamond 10 and 9 opponents and possibly made them gave up from ladder. And it doesn't feel good at all. Why am I not matching up against legend players for so long? This guys got no chance. I would not have felt good knowing that I was matching a good legend player if i was diamond 10.

I wanted to share something I found interesting with you all.

I knew my opponent's secret was likely Bamboozle so I decided to attack his large Edwin VanCleef thinking "It'll still be smaller when it's a 6 drop.  Turns out what it turned into was Imprisoned Antaen.  The 6 drop demon when Dormant right away, yet... I still took 10 face damage as my hero attacked into a Dormant token!

I feel like this is not an intended interaction.  Or if it is, it shouldn't be.  You aren't supposed to be able to interact with Dormant minions, even in this instance.  At least that's my opinion.  Curious to hear the thoughts/opinions of the rest of you on this particular interaction.

From the mists of Pandaria comes Taran Zhu, master of the Shado-Pan and expert strategist. Although trained as a monk, his strategies focus on leading and empowering his army to victory. Strength in numbers is his philosophy, as is giving strength to his numbers through minion buffs.

Class Strengths:	Class Weaknesses:
Numbers: Tacticians can use a variety of cards to build a large board. Strength in numbers indeed. Buffs: Through spells and the new Tactic keyword, Tacticians can build their minions up with strength and Taunts for the coming fight. New interactions: Tacticians see the value of their cards and have powers related to card rarity, positioning, and the new Shado-Pan Agent token.	No hero healing or weapons: Tacticians rely on their minions to execute their battle plans. Minimal board clear: Besides a few spells meant for single target removal, the only path to a clear board is through smart trades. Small minions: Tacticians need to stay wary of large board clear spells and be ready to deploy reinforcements when needed.
	New Keyword: Tactic A good Tactician should select his army to match the traits they desire. Minions with "Tactic (X):" will grant bonuses to any minions on the board that fit the tactic. Tactic minions work as an Aura but give permanent buffs instead of temporary, and can focus on stats, Mana cost, Keywords, tribes, or card rarity.
Upgraded Hero Power: Extra Strength The Tactician gains an extra buff from their hero power, but have to utilize proper minion placement to reap the benefits.	Cosmetic Heroes Genn Greymane was available as part of the Witchwood Mega-Bundle, while Lord Taran is Tactician's 1,000 win portrait.

The Dalaran Heist Chapter 6 - Skies of Dalaran "While those bozos put their little plan into action, we need to make sure no reinforcements get through to the city." While the Dalaran portals have been shut down, Nefarian still has to prevent help from flying in. Use a floating island for fending off the intruders but be warned - They aren't that stable. Too many minions on the board will destroy all of them, so avoid building too big of a board (or use it to your advantage and destroy your enemies). Fire FEST-E.V.I.L. (Blackrock Crash) Nefarian's going home, and he's NOT happy. Play through the Blackrock Crash as Victor Nefarius and show this loser league how to properly take over Blackrock Mountain! "Hey, you lousy rat! STAY AWAY FROM MY STUFF!" For Round 6, Nefarian has to protect his lab from the other league members who see it as free loot. The other classes fight dragon Nefarian as normal, but Nefarian fights against a variation of the King Togwaggle fight from the Dungeon Run. He no take lab equipment. Tombs of Terror Chapter 5 - The Pit of Scales "Elise, I've fought a lot of crocolisks in my days. But I ain't never seen a crocolisk flyin' or breathin' fire before!" The Pit of Scales, home of the crocolisks. At least until Obsidus took control and converted it into his personal rookery. Help the League of Explorers defeat the Plague Lord of Scales and restore order to Uldum! This wing's twist summons you an Eternal Drake, a Dragon that give you a Dragon when it dies and passes it's Deathrattle on to it. Use them to your advantage as you take on Obsidus! FAQ:

Q: How does Tactic work exactly?

A: Tactic works as an Aura, but unlike aura effects Tactic enchantments are permanent buffs instead of temporary. It works on both minions already on the board when played and minions played after the Tactic minion is on the board.

When you play a minion with the Tactic keyword, it checks to see if minions on the board fit the criteria specified on itself. If there are any minions that fit, the Tactic minion enchants them. Afterwards, any time your board changes it checks again. If it notices any minions on the board that fit the Tactic and have not been enchanted yet, it enchants them. The enchantments are permanent, so if the Tactic minion is destroyed the minions buffed retain their buffs (unlike a normal Aura effect).

Q: What about "upgraded rarity"?

A: Cards that allow you to upgrade a rarity will give you a card of the next rarity in the ranking (minions transformed into upgraded rarities will stay the same Cost). Think of Evolve, but with rarity instead of Cost. The ranking goes

Basic -> Common -> Rare -> Epic -> Legendary

Legendaries cannot be upgraded. It's like trying to evolve a Mountain Giant: it will be unaffected. And if there are no Legendary spells in Standard, upgraded spells can't go past Epic.

When you play Zephrys against a dormant demon, eg Imprisoned Antaen, do you think he should offer you Sacrificial Pact? (From my recent experience, it appears he currently does not.) Zephrys does sometimes do forward planning, eg offering you a card at next turn's mana cost. So maybe he should also plan for when a demon will awaken. What do you think?

About half of my games at Diamond 1 are like this. I've been bouncing between the bottom of rank 2 and the top of rank 1 for 3 days. Nearly every game is a one sided highroll. I hate this deck but am only playing it out of desperation at a friends recommendation - I was previously playing tempo warrior and miracle druid and got 1 or 2 games away from legend but was forcefed losses. I swear at this point my account has a bad RNG seed or something.

I've noticed while playing Highlander Hunter that there is an unusual interaction between Pack Tactics and Overconfident Orc. When your Overconfident Orc is summoned as a 3/3, the game considers him not to be at "full health" and he doesn't get the bonus +2 attack. It seems to me like the token should be a 5/3 while he's undamaged, since the wording on the card says "while at full health".

Does this seem like a bug?

Trying to think of other examples, like if you played Sunkeeper Tarim on a board with a Tar Creeper, it would still get its +2 attack and show as a 5/3 while defending. And of course an enrage minion doesn't get its enrage bonus when a 3/3 token of it was summoned. (I just tried this out with Spiteful Smith and the 3/3 token does not buff the weapon while undamaged.)

As I see it you copy-pasted the filters from the deckbuilder UI, but forgot that the deckbuilder already filters by class, which makes this filter missing in the collection editor.

I know this is/was discussed at the start of 2020, but I really dislike the fact that every game has his post on the homepage. Normally it didnt bother me, but Ashes went live tuesday and I believe Runeterra had something else this week.

Because of that Runeterra event I have a feeling one of the best expansion of Hearthstone is a bit underwhelmed.  I visit this site daily (who's core is Hearthstone) and this week there wasnt any Hearthstone on top of the homepage, every time it was Runeterra.

I went on to HSReplay this morning to check up on the latest Demon Hunter lists. They have the win rate of the most played version of Tempo Demon Hunter at 57.4% in the list view, but that same deck list in the drilldown's "Overview" section shows a 63.8% rate, and specifically a 62.9% win rate against Warlocks. Given the fact that Warlock has access to Sacrificial Pact and is at the top of the HSReplay rankings, I don't really see how that could be true.

I'm not sure if this is just an odd fluke with how their drilldown views handle trend data/what they include in their win rate averaging, but it's very confusing.

This is a "revival" expansion of sorts similar to Rise of Shadows. Here, the "bad guy" and "good guy" classes are reversed, with the bad guys being the Old Adventure Expansion Bosses and the good guys being the Crusade of Light to stop them before another "League of EVIL" arises.

Expansion Mechanics:

• Safeguard: Effectively granting the minion 'Immune' for a turn, Safeguard works for both offensive and defensive purposes, allowing usually frail minions to guarantee an attack or slower minions to get off their ability trigger.   

• Shaded: My take on the potential "Twinion" idea. Shaded allows the player to double-dip on powerful Battlecries, Deathrattles, or other similar effects as they would with cards like Anka or Jepetto Joybuzz. Additionally, Shaded cards with passive effects can be saved for combos due to their cost of 1.

• Dispel: A simplification of the 'Elusive' effect so that card text can be shortened.

• Cleave: Similar to Dispel, this effect is rather common in Hearthstone and making it a keyword would help with its simplicity.

• Lieutenants and Avengers: The 'class cycle' cards similar to Schemes or Projects. Lieutenants all have an ability keyword and a Deathrattle that is a callback to their class' Classic Legendary. Avengers also have an ability keyword and gain an additional effect if a friendly minion died the turn you play them.

Well there is Crusade of Light! It's kinda unbelievable to see this set complete after working on it off and on for the past few months. I'm sure not everything is 100% balanced, so please feel free to leave any suggestions and/or improvements in the comments below; I'd very much appreciate it!

• Some of you may have noticed that the Crusade Classes have a legendary based on an alternate hero skin except for Shaman, but that is because Lady Zarog is the planned free Hero reskin for the Shaman class planned to be given to all players who opened a pack from the set should it be 'released' by Blizzard.

• I am also working on an Adventure mode for this titled 'King of the Raid' where you fend off pesky adventurers as one of the four Evil bosses. I am unsure when this will be completed, so stay tuned!
• This is technically the second "Set" in my Hearthstone year, with the first being Deepsea Imperium. If you don't mind a trip to reddit, and are interested in deckbuilding with these two sets, please take a look at it here.

I am at the top of the platinum bracket now and have won 5 straight games but am not seeing the bonus stars.  Is anyone else seeing this?
