So I had a "wonderful" engagement this morning when I was doing my daily quest.  I was playing a Galakrond Priest deck to get my Inspiring quest done and I played against a Highlander Mage deck.  Honestly, it was a pretty close match the whole time and we both went to fatigue but I had one last Mass Resurrection that I held onto for after The Amazing Reno and lucked out with a couple of Khartut Defenders and Archmage Vargoth. My opponent conceded immediately after that.

Next, like a true "nice" person they send me a friend request.  I figured that they were going to try and harass me like a 12 year old losing at Super Smash Brothers, but I figured I needed the laugh.  I... was... right.  I accept the request and get a message saying, "I hope you die of cancer from your aids deck" and followed up by another statement not worth repeating.  To which I only replied, "sad face".

I used to get irritated when people acted so childish, but now especially after that match being so close, I just like to laugh at them since I got the win.  

I'm curious to hear how other people deal with those situations?  I have a hard time turning down the opportunity to troll someone that is a poor sport, so I take time out of my day to do it.  I'll admit, once there was someone that added me after beating them and actually complimented me on my deck and play and said that they were going to make a deck like it and try.  But mostly, it's just salty little people.  I'm looking forward to hearing what other people have said when the poor sports lose.

My goal is to build a Twisted Fate/Ezreal deck that relies on Riptide Rex to charge most of the procs.

I am brand new to the game, less than 2 weeks played, but I did some looking around and decided on Sea Monsters as my first real deck. It took some serious learning and experimentation with the list before I got it to a point that I feel comfortable with. Since I'm so new and my collection is lacking, I incorporated the must-haves and other things that I happened to already have, along with copious amounts of removal, and wound up with a bit of a frankenstein monster of a deck. But it has been working, so I thought I would share and see if anyone else around here is playing this deck and if they have any pointers.

If someone told me before, Blessed Champion will find a place in HS decks, I would reply - Sir, you are crazy.

I'm currently relaxing through low ranks, trying decks like Pirate Warrior and Pure Pally. Yeah, the latter needs draw and a win condition. I'm really having fun with Paladin, 7-4 rn, but this class suffers because of that ridiculous article (fraud) from Team 5 regarding "class identity". Apparently, a general card game mechanic like card draw is a privilege of only several classes. Others get like zero. ...Which means: 1) Unlike other classes Paladin will less likely draw a required answer (inconsistency); 2) Paladin needs to kill c. 3 enemy cards with only one of his own (which he still doesn't really have [a proactive win con...]).

But, enough of that. I really wanted to share how I destroyed / counter high-rolled Priests with the help of Blessed Champion :). Paladin is actually favored, Priest is also t3 and I usually stomp them, but the current Priest archetypes are, in my opinion, the worst and the ugliest archetypes in the history of HS. They make me angry even if I win. It's like - a part of my soul flies away every time I face them ...because you never know what kind of random bulshit they'll get this time. No clear idea what are the Priest decks.

And here's a recent one. What happened here is that Priest high-rolled and started to do his shit. I tried my best to save the Prime, Murgur Murgurgle, but he stole him with a top deck, then he discounted his hand, sick Sethekk Veilweaver turn, [Hearthstone Card (Mindflyer Kaahrij) Not Found] my taunt, after all that I couldn't remove Skeletal Dragon for 3 turns... etc... he started to bully me (more then trying to outright kill me, he got cocky). In the meantime I casually played Righteous Cause generated by Lightforged Crusader. Fast forward to the situation presented in the screenshots. I was about to concede, because next turn he will Galakrond, the Unspeakable me, and I would never retake the board again.

My only way out is (now or never) to get some charge from Underlight Angling Rod. I played that, hit him and got Fishflinger, for 1 mana, because of Scargil on the board. Fishflinger gave me Bluegill Warrior for 1 mana, too. Playing both Murlocs completed the sidequest and together with Blessed Champion on the best minion gave me lethal.

Just be careful--apparently there are a few invalid combinations that will cause your client to repeatedly crash until you reinstall.

So I'm desperate to play some of these hot new warrior decks that are storming their way up ladder, but am unsure what my best crafting options are.

I currently have The Boom Reaver, Blastmaster Boom and Armagedillo, plus two of each class epic from the Classic, Rise of Shadows and Ashes of Outlands sets and the cards from the Galakrond's Awakening solo adventure.  I also have a big pile of dust, but the reason for that is that I'm very stingy about what I craft with it! 

I'm looking for advice on what are currently the best legendaries to craft for the class, as I see a lot of different variants of pirate, bomb/control and enrage warrior, all of which seem to use different combinations of the cards listed below:

Grommash Hellscream - appears in a lot of decks, and is Classic, so shouldn't rotate

Ancharrr - seems to be a must-have, but is from Year of the Dragon, so will rotate sooner

Deathwing, Mad Aspect - seems to be less ubiquitous than other legendaries, plus it's Year of the Dragon

Kargath Bladefist - Year of the Phoenix, so will stick around for a good while, but only seems to be used occasionally

Teron Gorefiend - another Phoenix card, and neutral, but seems to be declining in popularity since egg warrior gave way to enrage builds

I also realise a lot of decks run Livewire Lance and Bloodsworn Mercenary,  again cards from Year of the Dragon.

So, what should I invest in? I'm looking for fun, competitive decks, but also value for dust. I also subscribe to the philosophy of 'craft decks, not cards', but figure many of the cards I've listed above will fit into a range of warrior decks.

So the pros have weighed in, let's see what predictions I got wrong.

Tier 1 - Deep, Sejuani, Heimer

So deep was obviously a contender for best deck when things slowed down after the patch, we see a Frej list tier 1 as predicted, and 1 thing I got wrong.

If you'd ask me if Heimer was tier 1 I would have laughed, and been like tier 3 at best

So we'll put the score at 2/3 pretty good, but not perfect calls.

Frej also shows up in tiers 2 and 3 frequently

Dem bannerman has seen a huge drop in play rate, but there is a new version that runs Fiora with spells to help provide an alternate win con.

It's also dropped badger bear, no duh.

The deck is still good it's just different, and harder to play overall.

Karma lists are down to tier 2 that's the other big change, along with burn.

It's worth noting that things are so balanced right now that there is only a 5 percent win rate difference between the best lists and the worst.

So you should honestly just play what you want, if you want to be hardcore play frej if you don't then play whatever you want.

I found out just now that using [Hearthstone Card (Stand United) Not Found] on two units which have been targeted by opponent's Challenger attackers completely negates the Challenger effect. I mean I guess it is intended, but still I don't really find it fair that just by swapping two units' places you can basically disengage them from combat or even use them to block any other attacker. The card already disrupts your plans by swapping them (and giving them barrier), why should it even have this further interaction? I might also just be a bit salty over losing to an opponent who used this trick 3 times in a row, but still...

I really like the monkey idol. It goes with the idea I had some time ago to add a bit more personal flavor into Freljord. One of the Freljord cards mentions making an enemy into a fine totem. So I was thinking of having a few totem like cards for Freljord that acts like the monkey idol. They can't attack or block but take damage every turn but provide some kind of area of effect buff for you or your unites.

Like Totem of Spirit: As long as this totem is in play your Nexus can't be targeted by spells or abilities. Totem of Might: As long as this totem is in play your unites have Overwhelm. Totem of Endurance. As long as this totem is in play your Nexus has Tough.

Stuff like that and since they take up a unite slot and can't attack or block it's probably best to limit your deck to having only one totem. The one that best fits what your deck is trying to do.

Yesterday I was playing a game and had three Leviathans on board and won. So I didn't think to much into it until today when I was messing around with the deck and saw something odd. The deck only has two Leviathans and no way to get a third. So how exactly did I pull into a third Leviathan? O_o

When the new ranking system came to be, I was awarded the 6 stars bonus due to my rank. I played through that month and the bonus disappeared when I reached gold 5. I finished that month on that floor (gold 7 or 8) and for this past month again I got 6 stars bonus. Now here I thought that these bonuses were tied to the max floor you reached, so I made an effort and made it to platinum 9 this past season, but today I got again 6 bonus stars. What is the formula for these bonus stars?

I used Hsreplay.net, I like it that it counts average match duration, frequency of each deck, and so on, but I recently realized free accounts only see the data of Bronze to Gold, which is quite uninteresting. I recently discovered metastats.net, but it's not clear where they get the data from, and some decks have few tracked games, so they are statistically not that reliable. And in reports like the ones from Tempostorm and Vicious Syndicate sometimes you read very different opinions, for example according to Vicious Syndicate Dragon Hunter is a strong deck with room to improve but according to Tempostorm is a Tier 3 deck, being generous, while Galakrond Priest is a Tier 1 deck according to Tempostorm, but Tier 3 according to VS... At least both seem to agree that Aggro Demon Hunter, Tempo/Enrage Warrior and Highlander Hunter are good decks.

So, how to bring order to the chaos? How do you inform yourself? Or do you trust only on your own feeling of the meta?

Need - I was thinking about how hard it is for Crimson Decks to set up due to there being close to 0 1 drop units for Crimson Decks, the only viable options are unscarred reaver and plucky poro, neither of which belong to noxus, with the latest update all noxus 1 drops are left with 1hp I believe. That leaves Crimson decks in a weird position where any viable option sacrifices late game value, mainly due to Noxus running with very very little hand replacement or card draw, trifarian assessor, and crimson curator being the only way noxus has to refill their hand... That being said I feel that the Crimson Cult could use a 1 drop, useful to the cause.

Balancing - I feel like this is a good trade off, it doesn’t replace the value of blade’s edge, but it creates a value of its own instead, one that doesn’t threaten balance, but does allow crimson decks to start building an early game without requiring crimson disciple to be in your starting hand, it’s also decently counter-able, as a play skill it gives the victim time to respond, similar to black powder bomb (I really hate that black powder bomb isn’t instant, but balance is important) it isn’t impossible to defend against. Note that the skill says and, not then, so this separates the value of the skill into 2 connected instances, if the skill is denied it stops 2(1) damage to the Flagellant, which could be positive, or negative depending on your circumstances, on the other hand there are ways to meditate value on the victims side, any positive hp boosts will nullify the effects.

Synergy - This card synergies very well with crimson decks especially as it was intended, since it is a crimson card it can be created by the crimson curator, however, I do recognize that a 1/3 with regen isn’t especially useful in this game, which is why I wanted to push the 1 damage to A UNIT, not an enemy unit, so it can be used to reactivate crimson curator for a different card. However this card does have positive synergy with other cards and decks aswell, it works kind of like a worse 1 cost noxious fervor, but it guarantees value so long as the Flagellant survives till the end of the round, that being said, this card synergies well with Vlad, bc it starts his level up requirement with at least 1 surviving unit, it synergies with Swain, bc it starts his level up too with 3 damage, It also can be used to activate other cards that require units be pre damaged, like Aurok, Flock, and Guillotine, I don’t think this works with gp very well tho, similar to black powder bomb it risks killing a unit rather than damage, but for freljord it would be able to activate scar cards, reaver and warmother would be if it a great deal from a low cost unit that could activate their requirements, an early game activated reaver would be a great help to freljord scar decks that frankly don’t see much play.

Wrap up - In conclusion, this card would be a viable 1 cost starting card for noxus decks like Vlad and Swain, especially crimson decks that desperately lack early game options. The card has value with some planning necessary, and offers an activatee and an activator for the crimson cult and alike. It also fills out some level up requirements, And gives late game value, something that is rather lacking in many 1 drop units, pretty much any poro that aren’t in poro decks, Any 1 cost unit with 1 health or below 3 damage. BUT most of all CRIMSON FLAGELLANT fills a void in noxus, the need for early game starters with more than a 1 time use (Ahem, legion sabatour, Ahem), and it finally gives Crimson decks a starting card that isn’t just crimson disciple again.

If you got to masters by using some meta net deck that someone else made did you actually achieve anything? Be honest. Can you honestly refer to yourself as a Master player?

SO i'm a diamond 5 guy, trying to push to Legend this month. I enjoy playing Hunter (face and highlander), and also Demon Hunter. I have most cards for these 2 classes, but I still need both Kayn Sunfury and Zixor, Apex Predator. I can only craft one. Which card is more important in its deck and is there an option for the other one?

Tier 1 - Frejord

 Yup from meme to dream, slow rolling is how the game is played now and this region is the best at that style of play

It turns out that early game pressure doesn't exist to keep this faction in check anymore

You can pair it with Noxious, or Shadow or Ionia or Bilge

It honestly doesn't really matter, you can even go pure allegiance

Expect to see an obnoxious amount of Sejuani over the next month

Tier 2 - Bilgewater

This faction is just a card advantage control machine and in a meta where healing doesn't matter this is very very strong

You can run any champions that generate additional value but TF is the best at this.

What else is there to say plunder effects are very good right now

Tier 3 - Shadow Isles

Healing's decreased importance see's Shadow drop down a bit but the sheer flexibility of the faction means it's still very strong.

Run keg control, run ephemerals for fun, probably not spiders anymore, but sea monsters and they who endure are fine.

Tier 4 - Ionia

Stun effects, will of ionia, counter spells these things are naturally good in a slower meta

But we can't pretend that this faction wasn't nerfed decently hard

Ironically, enlightened decks with Fejord are okay now, again no early game pressure

Stun decks with mr samurai were designed to deal with aggro and midrange and they don't exist anymore

Tier 5 - P And Z

The burn nerfs hit harder than anyone else predicted and Temo is not a good sub for rearguard

He is too R And G and he doesn't interact well with transfusion

Ezreal is fine, but P and Z struggles to deal with huge creatures, 3 thermos will only get you so far

Heim has similar issues where his turrets don't deal with overwhelm

Tier 6 - Noxious

The aggro noxious identity isn't really a thing now, but the Vlad list is so strong that it almost makes up for it

Swain is a little worse by proxy, in a game where you can't bring the nexus health down to 0 by turn 6

Tier 7 - Demacia

Oh how the mighty have fallen bannerman are nowhere to be seen, or missfortunes scouts, or Fiora thanks to the stand alone nerf

That really just leaves Lux, who again 4 damage removal  is less valuable when every list has unlimited card advantage and huge dudes

I look forward to all of the angry trolls in the comments and the silent confirmation that this list is accurate in the next two weeks.

every card game has an arena game type that people with good skills and want to get all cards witchout spending thousands of dollars can play to grind there way up there. in most of these games you can get the currency that you spent on the arena run and start profiting is after about 65% of the run being won. in legends of runeterra you only get back the currency that you spent after fully winning the expedition!!!! and you dont get a sinhle extra green essense you litterly end up with 2000. and if you finiah with 6 oit of 7 wins you only get 1000 essense wich means you lose half of it. that it self ia extremly greedy since it will be hard to grind the expedition. but we can argue that it is much easier to get a perfect run in runeterra than other card games. but then you have a LIMITED AMOUNT OF EXPEDITIONS PER WEEK. that is the most greedy and bullshitty thing i have ever seen in a cardgame. seriously riot proved it self more greedy that blizzard with that cheap move. they blocked all our ways of grinding up the full collection of cards and is forcing us to either grind for many weeks or to pay alot of money to get the cards. honestly this is a game breaking experiense for me and i dont think i will take this game seriously anymore since it is such a money trap.

I wanted to know if this was happening to anyone else. I have had a couple games where the game had decided that I don’t want to defend, at key moments where defense is a necessity. It’s led to several losses, even in ranked. It’s not that the game times out. It just skips my defense step entirely. Again, I just wanted to know if this is happening to anyone else and if they are looking into it.

I finally hit legend! I've been playing mostly Standard since 2017, so it's kind of funny that I reached Wild legend first lol. 

It wasn't that stressful of a climb, with the only obstacles being the three straight Secret Mages I lost to whenever I was just one win away (I swear, the Mage class exists just to make my life miserable lol). I was piloting Odd Demon Hunter, an absolutely overpowered deck that I feel a little guilty for reaching legend with it. But hey, legend is legend!

Time to kick back and enjoy being a legend player for one day, since it's gonna be a new season tomorrow. Just wanted to share, and good luck to everyone else on their climb!

I have been playing this game since September 2014 but I have never reached legend until this month. I am so grateful for this website, hsreplay, and tempostorm. I love the community here. I enjoy the info on hsreplay, and the free information on top decks for Wild as provided by tempostorm. I wanted to share my achievement with you guys.

I'm not a fan at all of stealing, I hated it in hearthstone. But it is already in game so I have to accept it. BUT what is a huge problem that we don't know what card was stolen. I just lost a game cause guy stole 2 will of ionias and put karma then radiant in my hand. But if u can see what cards where stolen u can play around. But like that it's just sucks and feels very unfair. So I suggest that change. And also the interface should show us which spells where made by Karma so u can know, that it's your opponent s original deny or will, or its a spell made by Karma.

Interface has to improve, pilfered goods MUST CHANGE!
