One of my opponents got a Wyrmrest Purifier in his arena deck. He got a lot of good cards (as class cards are stronger than neutrals, also spells are premium), but what killed me and really tilted me off, that I would've killed him if not for Uther of the Ebon Blade. Do I remember correctly that Hero Cards are supposed to banned from Arena?

I tried Treant Druid. It honestly looks incredibly solid, although not insane. The main problem is still card draw but Aeroponics is a good foundation. Currently trying Cult Master, but maybe Overflow is the way to go. Goru is actually just great, he does so much for your lategame pressure. Also a deck for Keeper Stalladris finally.
Galakrond Priest seems....weird. The lack of card draw makes running any combos kind of moot (although I still think going Wretched Reclaimer + Grave Rune with the added discount from Fate Weaver is the best idea). The Hero power is just pretty crazy late game as it turns you into basically Deathstalker Rexxar except your deck is loaded with removal. Healing is a bit of an issue, but Sandhoof Waterbearers or Khartut could help (with the aforementioned Wretched Reclaimer and Grave Rune combo)
Sad to say Desert Obelisk is not an unbeatable win conditions, you all must be heartbroken.
Galakrond Warrior is really weird. I treid going control with big taunts, which isn't bad, but the Galakrond turn itself is impossibly slow. He's practically unplayable before fully upgrading because you need the claw to at least get some kind of tempo. If you do play him and live however, he's crazy good. Most decks can't deal with 7/10 Tomb Wardens or even just a 5/6 Eternium Rover. Maybe going tempo galakrond is better and just try to get some chargers from the battlecry to finish your opponent next turn.
Played against one Pirate Warrior, thought I beat him, but the weapon spam (and my lack of non-face removal) eventually got me killed. Still not convinced about that deck, it seems incredibly draw dependant and if you don't get a crazy Skybarge turn you basically rely on being able to sm0rc your opponent down with weapons and Leeroy.
Anyways, share your stories so we can all get a better picture of what'S going on out there.

Guys, I have some news about Questing Explorer and Sidequests.
If there was a twitter/reddit post about it, sorry for openning thread at the first place but I thought that maybe someone still don't know this.
At least I didn't know until I saw this in the game
Controlling a Sidequest makes Questing Explorer draws a card, so if you have some Sidequest in your quest decks, they are not dead cards after you complete your quest. I really liked this interaction.
I was playing Thief Rogue via Whizbang the Wonderful, completed the quest and then got Clear the Way randomly. After I played it, I just realised that Questing Explorer is shining activated with yellow holder.
I didn't think that Sidequests will activate it so I'm surprised and it made me happy a little.
So you can consider to add them in your decks with sidequests if you need some more card draws !

Didn't see one so thought I'd kick it off - how'd everyone do with their pack openings?
Opened: 153
Legendaries: 8 (1 golden)
Nithogg - Meh not super impressed with this, but we'll see how it goes?
Mindflayer Kaahrj - Ditto.
Deathwing, Mad Aspect - Happy with this one. Definitely going to run Dragon Warrior
Flik Skyshiv - Very solid card. Will find lots of use.
Chenvaala - Nice, I'll throw it in my Wild Odd DK Jaina Elemantal deck
Frizz Kindleroost - Woot!!!
Waxadred - Oh the incoming memes...
Veranus (Golden) - Not bad, Let's give it a whirl
Epics: 34 (WOWZA!!) 2 Golden
I think RNGesus heard me talking about how much I was going to meme it up with Shuffle Transmogrifier Warlock because of those Epics, he(?) was FIVE of them, including 1 of the 2 goldens
Overall I'm very pleased - got a few of the legendaries I would have crafted, plus my hit rate was slightly better than" average" I think (isn't it on avg 20 packs - legendary, 5 packs - Epic?)
To all who preordered. What golden legendary(s) did you receive? I got myself golden: [card]Waxadred[/card] [card]Murozond the Infinite[/card] Both really cool golden animations!

I'm probably the only one who figures this out alone lately since nobody has talked about it, so I made this one.
Before we go into it, most of these applies to wild format most of time, so Dread Raven is still an obvious meme card, but you can atleast see the possible combos with Dread Raven to enjoy.
There are only two classes that can do a reliable and effective way with Dread Ravens than the other seven classes. Right now I feel they can do amazing well in my theory if these cards can have a place in any deck, those two classes are Priest and Mage!
Two of these classes have their own several ways to play Dread Raven, by copying or resummoning Dread Ravens, the idea of this is to spam them on the board and threaten your opponent with Dread Raven standing still on the board.
Mage can OTK the opponent with Open the Waygate. For priest, I'm not sure if possible with Temporus in an easy way.
These two classes can do it very effectively so far, Rogue is excluded since shuffling them and playing 3 mana minion is less effective than copying and resummoning them.
While we are relying on Dread Raven, If you don't manage to draw one of these, The card could still be threatening in late game as they can easily multiplied and burst any hero's health at anytime if they are alive.
Decklists aren't here yet, but you can make it your own if you are a main mage player or main priest player. I have written little guide here as well for each two of them.
Note: Other class like Hunter can OTK opponent too, you can find those decks in this site by searching Dread Raven in the decklist, it is quite the only type of viable deck for Dread Raven right now.
Mage
Of course, this is a list of possible ways to do it, you don't need to add all of them at once in one deck, you would be lacking an answer to your opponent's threat. But hopefully there are some space for it, although I don't know which deck it goes in, so this is obviously made for a meme deck, feel free to try it out.
Cards with a copy mechanic from best to worst: Molten Reflection, Splitting Image, Duplicate, Echo of Medivh, Simulacrum, Hex Lord Malacrass,
A way to make Dread Ravens and copy spells more viable: Leyline Manipulator, Khadgar, Hex Lord Malacrass (More copy spells, more Dread Raven)
The OTK way:
Play the ordinary old quest mage, you can try Arcane Breath too if the dragons can have its place too. Copy them with Duplication and Simulacrum, Then discount it with Leyline Manipulator (reduce all copied Raven to 1!). Have four Dread Raven with Time Warp ready -> Deal 48 Damage.
Priest
With priest decks, not only you do have copy mechanics, but you have also many ways to resurrect it.
Yes yes, it may be the worst resurrection you can make... but the resurrecting this bird can be effective and not a dumb way at all, because of that, Dread Raven is probably the only worth minion to be resummoned compared to all other cheap minions.
If the big priest can spam the big minions, then you can spam it too!
Cards with a copy mechanic from best to worst: Herald Volazj (!!!), Grave Rune, Shadowy Figure, Mirage Caller, Vivid Nightmare, Seance, Power Word: Replicate.
Cards with resurrection mechanic from best to worst: Psychopomp, Resurrect, Mass Resurrection, Eternal Servitude (IMO, I don't like it since you will be spamming Dread Ravens anyways), and others that are weak and no synergistic ([Hearthstone Card (Sleeping Soul) Not Found], Onyx Bishop, etc)
There is possible way to make OTK with it, but I'm still not sure if it's worth to do so or not. All I can do is give you guys the hints, which are Temporus, and maybe Fate Weaver can be included as well.
And that's pretty much it, no other classes can do it effectively than them, we do have Greater Sapphire Spellstone for shaman, but that's only one way to do it for that class, and we need more ways to spam Dread Ravens.
Anyways, hope you guys will enjoy the new expansion, I will be of course trying out powerful cards first, but I'm also quite interested in meme cards too.
So, have a great day!

With the new expansion this evening I thought now would be a good time to offer a few words of wisdom regarding deckbuilding in a new expansion meta. I'm sure to some of you this will all be old news - but I see the same mistakes repeated often enough during the first week of an expansion that I feel a reminder is warranted.
I should add, to be clear - I am not a big deckbuilder. What I am, however, is a deck critic. I may not be able to put together a high legend decklist from scratch, but I can certainly look at a decklist that already exists and tell you what's wrong with it! I will also add that this advice is intended only for people who actively want to win games on ladder during this period - if you're more interested in building a fun list than a good one, by all means, go for it. I won't tell you it's wrong to build a fun list and have fun with it - I will, however, tell you it's wrong to build a 'for fun' list and expect it to win. For my own amusement, I'm going to include a 'that guy' for every point. Remember - don't be that guy.
1. If you want to rise, play aggro. Early control lists tend to be phenomenally greedy as people try to pack in all the shiny new win-more legendaries they got. They skimp on both early board pressure and AoE. If you care more about winning games than about checking out new cards, lean towards aggressive archetypes - not only do these punish deckbuilding mistakes more reliably than other archetypes, they're also a lot harder to screw up! That means if you do want to try out new cards, you can - and if you do it inside an aggro shell you're less likely to lose games because of it. That guy - jams ten 8+ cost cards into one deck and plays one of them per game at most.
2. Don't be greedy. If you are playing control, don't fall into that trap. Pay due respect to the aggressive lists that will be floating around. Don't just throw in a couple of AoE clears and decide that's good enough - if a single on-curve board clear was enough to shut out aggro decks they'd never be played. Even if you've got a control deck, look to be contesting the board as early as turn 1 or 2, bring targeted removal (or weapons) as well as AoE, and only include as many late-game finishers as you'd reasonably need. That guy - builds a mage list with two cards of <5 mana cost and a single flamestrike as AoE. Then whines on every forum he can find about how aggro is stupid and takes no skill.
3. Alternatively, be greedy. If you really want to run a greed list - and let's be honest, who hasn't been tempted when a new expansion drops and there's a bunch of cool high-cost legendaries - then go all out. There's no point including two anti-aggro cards in an otherwise heavily greedy list, because they're never going to be enough to do the job. If you're going greed, go FULL greed and ensure no control deck you meet can even hope to match your value. That guy - includes a tiny amount of anti-aggro in a horribly greedy list, then complains about losing to other greed decks because they'd just lose to aggro. Also loses to aggro; doesn't see the irony in this. If I'm going to be a 'that guy', this is probably the one I'll wind up as.
4. Identify your win condition. I see a lot of post-expansion decks that basically amount to jamming a bunch of new cards into a box and hoping you wind up winning somehow. Unfortunately, that's not really how card games work these days. You will need to know what your win condition is - whether it's aggression, direct damage, tempo, value - and be working towards it as early as the deckbuilding stage. With each card you add, challenge yourself to identify how it's working towards your win condition - and, if you want to win games, don't accept 'because it's so cool' as an answer. In particular, be careful of trying to 'do it all' - don't add cards 'just in case' if they're not furthering your game plan in some way. To give a classic example - I saw a lot of people putting Elysiana in their lists at the start of her expansion, presumably 'just in case it goes to fatigue' - despite their game plan not being value-oriented at all. That guy - has what amounts to 20 tech cards in a 30 card list. Complains about his awful luck because his topdecks are always so bad.
5. Avoid tech cards. Tech cards are for targeting something you're expecting to face a lot of, or for swinging close matchups. Neither is something you can realistically evaluate at this stage with any real reliability. Instead, build a generalist list, but identify 1-4 cards that you can easily flex into tech choices as you get a feel for what you're seeing a lot of. Alternatively, if you want my guess - Dragonmaw Poacher is the obvious one due to all the dragons floating around. The next level, however, is to also tech Big Game Hunter as the on-curve counter to an on-curve Poacher. I strongly suspect anti-weapon tech will be valuable due to Pirate and Warrior both being favoured, as well as Galakrond's fully invoked 5/2. But realistically I'm just taking educated guesses - because that's all you can do right now. That guy - insists on including double Hungry Crab in every list he makes because he hates Murlocs. Last saw a Murloc in-game before the Wild cards rotated in.
6. Think probabilities. Remember that very few games will see you draw your entire deck, and a sizeable percentage won't even make it to turn 10. If your deck requires you to draw certain cards - the most obvious current example being Invokers - include more copies than you're going to need, to ensure you draw the required number. If your deck relies heavily on specific cards, include tutors for those cards. If you're building a combo deck, include a LOT of card draw - preferably low cost card draw, as the longer it takes you to assemble your combo the more likely you are to run out of resources. That guy - puts two copies of Corrupt Elementalist in his Galakrond Shaman list, with no other Invokers. Complains about never having a fully Invoked Galakrond. Alternatively, runs exactly 25 mana of Paladin spells alongside Shirvallah.
Good luck with your Day 1 deckbuilding, folks.

Hello Guys; Welcome to my year long story;
I present you Year of the Peacock ! Yes; a Peacock ! Which represents the great Festival year of Warcraft Universe !
Our beloved Peacock which gives the name to year is this handsome Sholazar Peacock !
These festivals are completely custom. It doesn't contain the existing festivals like Fire Festival, Lunar Festival, etc. and each expansion of the year is a Festival.
I am not good with photoshop programs or sth. like that so I couldn't create custom images for my year icon or images about year but If anyone can help I won't refuse. :)
So; Here is the 1st expansion of the Year; Harmony of the Spheres !
Everything starts with a great concert of Elite Tauren Chieftain (ETC) in Early April which you will see all of the members of this great band !
At first concert of them there will be "The Prince"; so players who joins a concert in first 30 days of the expansion by Log-in game will get the awesome E.T.C. The Prince legendary card for free !
E.T.C. The Prince works like Kazakus;

ETC had been in need of sponsorship for their concerts and asked Baine Bloodhoof for it. He kindly accepted the sponsorhip of the Festivals and will join you after you opened your 30th HofS pack ! (Hoofs would be funnier tho so you may call it as Hoofs !)
Additionally, Everyone who buys one of the pre-order will obtain a golden Baine Bloodhoof !
There will be 136 brand new cards in this expansion and It is time to see all of the cards.
Sidenotes for Mage and some other cards: I have started to design this expansion in Rise of Shadows times so didn't know that Druid will have same unspent mana synergy and thought that it would fit more in mage so that was really great surprise to see same synergy in druid for me. You will see that in some neutral cards and other class cards that some of them are weak versions of Uldum cards and some of them are same with DoD cards (Nozdormu for example). I didn't change them yet but I might change them in time.

People should try this deck out anyway, it's very fun. It's been my main deck since RoS came out.
But at this point, I'd especially like people to help me figure out how to adjust it to DoD. I don't think it will change much; but it would be nice to have a few new cards sprinkled in.
Specifically, I'm trying to figure out what to cut in order to fit two Violet Spellwings in. And then I might cut an Arcane Intellect in favor of an Elemental Allies -- crazy, you say? Maybe.

Descent of Dragons is Hearthstone's 13th expansion and is set to release on December 10, 2019.

Players who have an active Arena run when expansion launches will have their current run retired and will receive an Arena Ticket as compensation (plus any reward for current number of wins for that run).
Friendly Neighborhood Gladiator: if you do plan on leaving your run at 0-0, you might as well start two games and concede to two players, getting some positive karma :) You will get the identical rewards for 0-0 and 0-2 score.
Q: When should I start my run to receive a free Arena Ticket for a retired run?
A: Ideally several hours before the expansion launch, arena entries are generally closed few hours prior.
Q: Do Arena Tickets stack?
A: Yes. (proof)
Q: Do Arena Tickets expire?
A: No.
Q: Where are my rewards for the retired run? I opened my arena rewards but didn't get any pack or gold/dust.
A: This is a known bug, arena rewards are actually awarded to you once you finish your last arena game, before you open up the reward boxes. When an arena reset happens, it gets even more confusing because this happens on log in; sometimes you have to restart the game.
People often see (1) pack in their inventory, don't think much about it, open it and then go collect arena rewards only to find out they didn't get anything. But the fact is, that (1) pack on log in was actually the one from the retired arena run. Same with gold/dust, it was already added to your account even before you opened the arena rewards. You didn't lose anything.

Additionally, i really wish to drop these cards with packs, but i'm uncertain about crafting them (i'd hate to spend resources on cards that end up being unplayable for my Wild purposes):

To be able to Summon Highkeeper Ra;
Play Mogu Cultist + Embalming Ritual + Embalming Ritual + Grave Rune + Grave Rune + Holy Smite (On Mogu Cultist);
This will summon 6 Copies of Mogu Cultists on board. Now, All you need to do is playing another Mogu Cultist from your hand at exact 10 mana.
Decreasing 3 copies of combo pieces will make you be able to do this combo. It doesn't matter which you decrease. Decreasing 2x Grave Rune twice is the best and safest way because you will be able to do the combo before you draw other pieces so you won't need to decrease 3rd copy of any combo piece.
For more information and the Guide, you may visit the deck's guide.
I hope you visit and enjoy. I will probably try it in first day of the expansion if I can afford Frizz, Murozond and Kronx.
