Could this have potential in a Quest Priest deck? Buffing this and getting copies (you could damage it with stuff like Wild Pyromancer) seems like it could have some potential.

I wouldn't add this to any deck, but yesterday I faced a mage who got it out of a conjurers calling and won the game because of it.

isn't this even better when it comes to the effect? shouldn't the copy keep buffs etc. ?

Its not as good as grim patron, as it summons copys, which will also copy the health. This means you can't go infinite Value with it, as with grim Patron. Also the 2 Health probably isn't worth the two extra mana.
Notably it can get better in other scenarios like Buff decks. This could actually work quite good in a Heal and Buff Pala
