I can see it's use. But... I think Rogue has better game plans than what this offers atm. Maybe after Lackey's rotate from standard.
Comparable to Fire Fly but with lower stats for its cost. The pirate synergy is nice. Possibly run in wild odd rogue as small minion generation.
I get that people think that this card is great for combo. There is just way better one drop options to trigger combo like lackeys.
Of course it goes very well Cannon Barrage and Bloodsail Howler, but I don't think that will be strong enough to actually run it. Pirate rogue dont seem to be able to compete with the rest of DOD (especially pirate warr). I'll definitely try though, it looks fun
What if you just run it with Unstable Element and raiding Party + the other efficient pirates (like Dread Corsair and Parachute)
Cheat out a bunch of Pirates early and swing face with weapons, then Element for the finish. Could probably even run Prep again despite the nerfs.
Running raiding party seem fun as well! But still feels like it isnt strong enough. It's not presenting as much early immediate damage like Skybarge.
But I think you're right that weapons could make a huge difference and do a lot of damage, something I definitely overlooked. If its fast enough that surely is the way to make it work
Actually, thinking it through, raiding could very well make it just as fast as pirate warrior. Still not sure it does enough face damage but you're really warming me up to the idea. Would you avoid putting cannon barrage in there?
really strong pirate as it is a 1 and 2-drop with tribe synergy BUT i don't think pirate rogue has enough support really. neutrals are fine but compared to warrior rogue drew the short stick here

it's too slow to be good, it can help on combo activator factor, but will not see real play on meta decks.
Handful of combo activators. Otherwise pirate synergy in rogue is now on the weak side, with exception of Cannon Barrage which deserves a honorary mention.

Cannon Barrage fodder. And a really scary one at that. This is just one card to do a potential 12 damage. With prep the cannons will be blasting a few additional shots for lethal.
Just about covers one of the weakness for Cannon Barrage. Looking forward to testing this day 1.

It seems to be pushing the Pirate deck with Cannon Barrage but you can also look at the card as generating combo activators. I think it'll be played that way.
Decent in standard, shit in wild, decent in arena. Don't sure if decent is good enough to be included in the upcoming op pirate decks though
