"I Hate Darkglare Warlock" Hunter
- Control Hunter
- Wild
- Ranked
If you ever wondered if Hunter can deal with Darkglare Warlock at any capacity, this deck is here to prove it. I can't deny that I wanted to create this deck for some time, but I had difficulty figuring out a deadly enough combo that can shut down Warlock's entire board. Until now...
So the combo is Toxmonger -> Tentacle of N'Zoth -> Animated Broomstick. All three cards are minions, avoiding cost increasing cards like Cult Neophyte. They are also played from your hand, giving Poisonous through Toxmonger and thus giving a massive board wipe. Carrion Studies ensures that you can pull off the combo on the same turn the enemy plays their Giants.
But they are also running Raise Dead, right? This is where cards like Professor Slate come into play. With his effect, cards like Grievous Bite or even Nine Lives pulling out a Tentacle will clean the incoming waves of Giants. Those cards can also serve purpose in case you are that unlucky in drawing your more resiliant board wipe.
Deathstalker Rexxar is you classic Control Hunter staple, giving you AoE and infinite value generation to keep pressuring opponents. Some cards can also be replaced to tech into either Secret Mage or Reno Priest.
The new core set adds a few changes to the deck. Tracking can no longer remove cards from your deck, which is usually in our favor, as we won't destroy any combo pieces in the meantime, but we won't dig as fast through the deck either. However, Taelan Fordring gives you a great tutoring effect on top of a solid defensive body. I also included Wolpertinger as another way to benefit from Toxmonger.

How does this beat zoo?
You mean standard Zoo or Darkglare Zoo? If Darkglare one, then you are fishing for either the afromentioned combo or Slate and some spells, both of which will deal with either the majority or all of their minions on their pop off turn.
If standard Zoo, then it gets a little trickier, but you still have a lot of damage tools to soften up ther minions, except you may be encouraged to play Tentacle more proactively without Toxmonger.
Your deck doesn't have any way to tutor out the Slate or Toxmonger, which kind of defeating the point of the deck is it? Since the rest of it is clunky without them. Have you thought about adding Stitched Tracker into the deck? How about Hunter's Mark?
Totally forgot about the Tracker. It could definitely prove dividence instead of maybe Scavenger's Ingenuity.
