In his Emerald Dream, Rexxar saw a vision. There, his vision showed that victory can be achieved with Dragon's Fury. With the aid of his fiery friends, Rexxar is ready to unleash their power with this deck: Reno Dragon Hunter. Originated from Witchwood, with the cards such as Carrion Drake and Emeriss, Dragon Hunter wasn't considered as a viable archetype because of lack of resources Hunters had for consistency when it comes to Dragons, until now.

Now you might ask, how come did Dragon Hunter become viable with RoS? You will see the answer while inspecting core cards:
1. Dragons: We need to check Dragon-related cards first.
If you don't have some cards, no worries there, I got you covered. Reasons are explained below:
Remove
Add
Wrathion: He is like Roll the Bones but Dragon version with Taunt. If you don't have him, or don't want to spend dust for Dragon archetypes only, Azure Drake is here to rescue you. Extra spell damage for Flanking Strike/Marked Shot and drawing a card makes Azure Drake a versatile pick.
Chillmaw: During TGT-era, you might have dusted her because you thought she was a bad card. However, with Nine Lives printed, she is viable again. If you don't have Chillmaw for whatever reason, better use Primordial Drake.
Sylvanas Windrunner: It's just that I want to have more options for Nine Lives, that's why I added her. You can swap her with any card, Unleash the Beast would be a good pick to contest the board.
Brightwing: I can understand if you don't want to spend your dust on the expensive version of Weaponized Piñata. If that's the case, Twilight Drake will be your best friend to get along.
Alexstrasza: She can act as your finisher. In case you don't have her, swap with any card. I prefer a strong Charge minion such as King Krush thanks to potential Emeriss shenanigans you can perform.
Makes me want to finally craft Emeriss. One of the only hunter legendary I don't have...
Edit: Crafted Emeriss and am so glad I did just after 1 match! This deck is a blast! Only missing Wrathion and Chillmaw but the suggested replacements work just fine!
Glad all went well for you. I wouldn't advise crafting Wrathion and Chillmaw if you are low on dust. Maybe you can try your luck with Toki's Wild Bundle to pull out these legendaries before it's too late? Otherwise, have fun with Green Dragons.
i'm playing it without chillmaw and i think it really boosts nine lives to deal with aggresive board matchup (murk shaman token druid) and you don't have so many deathrattle (just sylv and bone drake that are particuraly good against control, not this deck issue in most cases) so prob not worth including nine lives either in that case, maybe some hounds can help in case u put primordial in place of chill
So, you removed Chillmaw and it boosts Nine Lives? You know Nine Lives will be weakened by that, right? If you mean removing Chillmaw and Nine Lives in favor of Aggro-Tech cards (Hungry Crab/Golakka Crawler/Antique Healbot), that's another story.
Already had purchased the wild bundle. I have the dust for one of the two, but probably will just save it for next expansion.
Might splurge and craft chillmaw. I don’t feel wrathion is very necessary. My hand is always close to full playing this deck, not sure it needs any more card draw.
Cool deck, cool write up. I hit legend with Dragon Hunter during Witchwood & consistently hit rank 2 & 3 with it every month (it's been the only deck I've basically played since Emeriss was printed) so I know how annoying it can be when everyone disregards Dragon Hunter.
