Wow, another Pirate Warrior, big whoop.

I’ll run through the entire deck, starting with the obvious cards (sorted into a few thematic buckets).  If you want to see about the weirder inclusions, skip down.

BROADSIDES: Fogsail Freebooter, [Hearthstone Card (Ship’s Cannon) Not Found], Defias Cannoneer, Pufferfist, Skybarge- all provide cover fire so you can go face as often as possible.  Don’t waste time trying to set these up optimally- the most important thing is going fast.

BOARDING PARTY: [Hearthstone Card (N’zoth’s First Mate) Not Found], [Hearthstone Card (Sir Finley Mrrgglton[/card, Whetstone HatchetPatches the Pirate, Parachute Brigand- all provide stacked threats, hopefully in early turns, to start momentum swinging your way.

SMUGGLING: Sky Raider, Harbor Scamp, Suspicious Pirate, Voracious Reader- all provide cards so you can keep momentum going.

That leaves us with four legendaries, and each has a particular purpose.

Hack the System- The main purpose of the quest in this deck is to provide a steady back-end.  Frequently you’ll win by turn 5 or 6.  If not, you’ll have set up an endless tide of 4/3’s that should help turn the tide.

I put Finley and Whetstone Hatchet above but this is their real purpose- the Hatchet has 4 durability, and Finley can spin you a hero power that grants attack.  In either case, the quest becomes very cost-effective, and something you can continue to do while aggroing.

Kazakus, Golem Shaper- Included because there aren’t any 4-cost cards that need to be in this deck.  And if your deck has no 4-cost cards, I think KGS is an auto-include.  You’ll usually want a 1- or 5-cost golem.  Aim for the minion buffs if you can get it.

Taelan Fordring and Lady Prestor- Taelan exists only to draw Prestor.  So why is Prestor here?  Contingency.  If you are entirely unable to manufacture lethal in the first five or so turns, this deck stops working.  Hack the System extends the longevity to maybe seven, but Prestor is for when you hit turn eight and you’re out of cards to spare.  It sounds risky but in my experience, it is scarily consistent at turning your tempo game into a value game, and as a result it will win you matches you had no business winning.
