Welcome, fellow achievement hunter.

Ever since the introduction of the rewards track, each expansion has always brought us a handful of achievements to complete in order to gain more rewards: while some of them are relatively easy to complete, some others may take some time or a proper set up. In case you're wondering what's the best way to gain all that sweet sweet XP locked behind Voyage To The Sunken City's achievements, do not fret, as we have the answer you're looking for!

In this guide we'll focus our attention on the Sunken City Demon Hunter achievements and provide at least one way to complete each of them so that you'll be able to get closer to the end of your reward track.

Novelty: starting from the Voyage To The Sunken City Achievement Guides, we're introducing the Related Achievements criterion, which basically goes to show if a certain achievement has a strong relation with another one (be it from the same class or from the Neutral section), and therefore if they are beneficial for each other from the completion point of view. All in all, it says if you can hit two (or more) birds with a single stone!

Disclaimer: as always, all expansion achievements can be completed in Ranked Standard, Ranked Wild, Arena, Casual & Heroic Duels and Classic - Casual Standard, Casual Wild and Tavern Brawl will not count towards your hunt! Moreover, we'll always take Ranked Standard as the default game format for our strategies: if we happen to have some strategies or particular interactions belonging to other modes to highlight, we'll be sure to specify it.

Here are all the achievements we're going to complete together:

  1. Dance of the Moonlight Minions - Give 100 minions Bioluminescence.
  2. Feeding Frenzy - Deal 75/150/300 damage with Piranha Swarmers.
  3. Frigid Hot Waters - Cast a Fire, Frost, and Nature spell in the same turn with Radiance of Azshara in play.
  4. What the Tide Brought In - Summon 20/40 2/2 copies of Murlocs with Tidelost Burrower.

    Sunken City Shaman Achievements Overview

Shaman's not in a very good position.

    • Dance of the Moonlight Minions has many variables, but you should probably meet no insurmountable obstacles during your hunt.
    • Feeding Frenzy will be quite annoying to complete, especially since there doesn't seem to be a strong backbone to the Piranha Swarmer strategy.
    • Frigid Hot Waters, on the other hand, is one of the easiest achievements of the Sunken City expansion, and it will take you no time to complete it.

If you are high on the Piranha theme, then you may want to complete Feeding Frenzy (and Shaman as a whole) before the meta completely settles; if not, then there are easier classes to max out before Thrall.

Edit: guide updated with the Throne of the Tides Mini-Set achievements.

How to Complete the "Dance of the Moonlight Minions" Shaman Achievement

The fastest way to complete this achievement is to to go wide on the board to gain as much Spell Damage as possible (7 per cast, actually) and then burst down the opponents will all the burst you now have. The achievement doesn't state that you should win the game, but we like doing so!

By the way, the achievement is worded in such a way that it doesn't require you to play Bioluminescence from hand in order for it to count, but it can come from other sources too. In particular, we're referring to School Teacher's Nagalings, which have a 13,6% chance to Discover Bioluminescence (Shaman currently has a pool of 22 Discoverable spells that cost 3 or less).

As for Wild, Spirit of the Frog is by far the better choice: include some spells that summon tokens like Voltaic Burst and Totemic Smash and make sure that Bioluminescence is the only 3-Cost spell in your deck for a guaranteed draw off of one of the many 2-Cost spells you have.

How to Complete the "Feeding Frenzy" Shaman Achievement

Simple (yet quite long to complete) request: deal damage. The annoying part is that there aren't many Piranha Swarmer generators, but the good part is that those little fish can snowball like crazy, especially if you combine them with other aura buff effects like Bloodlust and the brand new Anchored Totem.

    • Piranhas are stronger together, so the best way to progress Feeding Frenzy is to play a bunch of them together rather than dropping them as soon as you have some mana - plan ahead!
    • Wild format note: you may want to consider Hobgoblin and Storm's Wrath synergy, as well as the surprise swings Lightning Bloom enables.

How to Complete the "Frigid Hot Waters" Shaman Achievement

Incredibly easy achievement, especially since Shaman was heavily pushed towards the Fire-Frost-Nature direction with the last expansion. Just save up some resources, wait for Radiance of Azshara to show up and then cast three spells belonging to the aforementioned Spell Schools.

How to Complete the "What the Tide Brought In" Shaman Achievement

One of the slowest achievements of the Throne of the Tides Mini-Set, as you're basically forced to play a 4-drop that makes sense only in  Murloc Shaman; moreover, playing Tidelost Burrower alone won't progress What the Tide Brought In, since you'll have to find a Murloc to Dredge, which isn't granted by any means.

Although it will turn out rather boring, we suggest you run a Murloc-intensive list with some card draw and the usual Brann-Zola-Brewmaster package for additional procs - we hope you'll get the job done as soon as possible!

On the other hand, I personally reached Legend in June with the Murloc Shaman list you see below, which also granted me What the Tide Brought In achievement - two birds with one stone!
