Struggling on completing some tasks of the Mercenaries Y'Shaarj limited-time event? We've got your back. Here's a guide explaining what you should do and the best comps to get there in the ninth Task, Tag Team.
We've got a brand new event in Hearthstone's Mercenaries game mode and it's here only for a limited-time! This time, we'll venture into many dangerous Bounty zones with the aid of Y'Shaarj, the strongest Old God (as well as the first to die in World of Warcraft), which already made its appearance in Hearthstone in Whispers of the Old Gods with Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound.
Our journey won't be in search of just fame and success, but you'll be able to complete a set of 10 event Tasks, which will reward you coins for Y'shaarj and many other goodies.
Here are all the tasks that are available during the Y'Shaarj Mercenaries event. Click any of the links below to visit our guide for the task.
As you can see, these tasks are quite the mixed bag: while some are fairly simple to complete, others require more than a bit of thinking (and luck: that one's always welcome) and planning ahead.
Moreover, certain tasks clearly state that you need Comps consisting of Mercenaries belonging to specific races in order for your progresses to count: while the N'Zoth event was about Humans, Dwarves, Elves, and Murlocs, this time you'll need the help of Humans and Pirates!
Not all challenges might be as difficult as they seem at a glance: there are usually tips and tricks to be found to make everyone's lives easier. In this series of guides we'll take a look at how to complete each event Task, so that you'll be able to get your hands on all the rewards available. As of now, we'll focus our attention on the current task.

The Taran Zhu Bounty stands up among all the other bounties introduced in Mercenaries so far: in fact, during the final fight you'll have to take down an opponent with a bench - as we said, this is an unprecedented thing, which may carry additional intricacies. All in all, you'll have to face and take down a total of 6 opponents, with stats and abilities similar to those you can find in PvP. Moreover, most enemy units' skillsets appear to mimic existing Mercenaries.
When you'll start the fight, this is going to be the initial state of the enemy's side of the board.
Starting from left an going to right, Sha of Anger is a Caster with focus on Shadow abilities and ranged attacks. Its aura effect will make any (including yours) Shadow abilities 3 speed faster, although it's not going to play in your favor, since you are forced to run a bunch of Pirates in your comp. This is basically Vol'jin.

Taran Zhu, on the other hand, has a potentially pesky aura effect, as any unit will receive half damage from other characters they have role advantage against. To put it simple, Fighters will receive half damage from Casters; Casters will receive half damage from Protectors; Protectors will receive half damage from Fighters. However, nothing bad will happen to you if you just hammer critical hits into the enemy units.
Yen is literally Sylvanas Windrunner with [Hearthstone Card (Death Volley 4) Not Found] equipped. Getting rid of this unit should be one of your main priorities, as you don't want it to get too much Attack value.

Now, for any of these three enemies you kill, one of the following units will come in play (in this exact order). First of all, we have Bolo, which is the exact copy of Cairne Bloodhoof with Reincarnation 4 as aura effect.

Shado-Pan Infiltraitor, on the other hand, appears to be Diablo with Black Soulstone 4.

Finally, Li is none less than a Pandaren Blink Fox!

As for your comp, we're sorry to inform you that Team 5 was not kind towards our budget players out there, as you'll have to pick at least 5 units from the ones you see below.
As you can see, there are just two Rare Pirate Mercenaries (which, fortunately for us, happen to be very good), making Tag Team one of the most "expensive" tasks to complete.
As we were saying, not much of a choice when it comes to partybuilding: we have to include 5 Pirates when we only have 7 at disposal; moreover, most of them are Epics, meaning that it is not going to be possible to build a budget comp for Tag Team.
To prove this comp of being fit for this task, we actually recorded a video showing you that you can pull this off with ease.

To be fair, I am yet to have a chance to grind Vanessa, so her level 30 equipment is all I have right now.
However, I just finished Patches the Pirate's Task 18, so the next Mysterious Stranger node I will bump into is guaranteed to give me a Vanessa task.
