Solid Alibi to 4 and Lab Constructor to 5 mana, I think.
So, is there gonna be in this set a new Secret called Ice Trap?
Its text should be: "When your opponent casts a Spell, return it to their hand instead. It costs (1) more.
I remember seeing this card in a Kripp rates CustomHS cards video. It looked great then and it's great now, very flavorful.
Sulfuras wielding Rag would have been so awesome. Maybe we'll still see it somehow in a highlight.
Before reading the details, I thought all 4 skins were gonna be sold. The fact that they're giving one for free is a welcomed surprise. They don't usually give away skins, so the fact they're giving us fiery-Malfurion is great for me.
Ragnaros for sure is the best of these skins, even if it really doesn't fit the Shaman fantasy, so it'll surely make a buck for Blizz, which is fine by me. They make new cosmetics, which fans have been asking for a long time, and charge for them. If it does well, maybe in the future we can move away from expensive pre-orders into a more cosmetic-focused economy for the game.
Oh, I didn't care if it was gold or money, I just wanted it available for purchase. My wish came true haha.
Waiting room for Mecha-Jaraxxus or N'Zoth.
No, leave it as a classic.
FYI: Regis is posting (2 so far) the answers to the puzzles on his YT.
I think the fantasy of DKs is better but we already had them in some fashion, so Monks next.
So is it safe now to open Classic packs?
This needs a lot of support, and as a one-of, it probably won't see much play. Unless there's a lot of secret support, then this is just a win-mire card. Either way, meh.
The reasoning is fine but I think Blade Dance is still too strong, they didn't even address the contradiction with the class identity, they just delayed the card for one turn and that does nothing when paired with Skull.
Not only cards must be considered but also deck standings. If you touch Soul Dh, you also have to do something about Warrior and Aggro DH, since they are best 3 decks, followed closely by HL Hunter.
Said that, DH beign continuously strong is also bad for the players perception of the meta. Blade dance is just supid, tho I'd would also suggest considering the change so it only hits 2 targets, as Zeddy said. Twinslice change was never good for me, I think it should have chenged to one of the pieces costing 0 and the other 1, still both giving only +1 attack. I think Aldrachi Warblades are also a problem, maybe make it more expensive or idk; you used to be able to race a face deck, but DH just has too much healing which is why Il'gynoth is also so frightening.
OTK decks are stupid imo, but Warrior's requires so many pieces and is very skill testing. Still, if it is here to stay, maybe change it in a future patch. Bladestorm is not great, I hesitate to run it now, any nerf to it would make it unplayable I think. I think Skipper is fine, Warrior should have a way to gain a lot of armor fast and the combo requires a lot of pieces. It also rotates soon.
Druid is not in a good place right now but Overgroth is still a problem.
Shaman deserves to shine a bit but if it just becomes dominat due to ohter nerfs, something should be done. It's a shame that only fast and highroll-y decks see play, control shaman is such an interesting deck.
Maybe some neutrals should be changed, too. For example, Voracious reader should maybe draw up to 2 or just be a 1/1/2.
After everything, the cards of the expansion feel underwhelming for me.
Remember when they said a few months ago that the RNG in game was at the highest it would ever be? They lied.
Absolutely right, I meant that one, thanks.
Meme potential: Treachery outside of Warlock.
But card effects are always evaluated as they are, right now, with the current pool. That's Standard. We may say after a expansion launches that we were wrong about a new card, but we don't go back to previous expansion cards to say 'hey, we were wrong about that one'. Maybe big demons warlock will see support in this year or the next, but it will need way more help than meh-Archwitch.
