Aye. I've added a whole set of clarifications now to the article, since it can be one confusing keyword for players. Having Raid Boss Onyxia for a while did help with that knowledge.
Caught a glimpse of it as well, thanks for sharing! I think we may wait until all the card reveals are done for today and then post a separate update to talk a bit more about Mercs. Only fair to give the mode some extra spotlight.
And sadly, it would seem they have given up on special trailers for the Mini-Set. I guess too much cost investment as deemed by the higher-ups? It's sad, now we'll only get a semi-trailer with gameplay for each major patch, if the trend continues.
Ah, interesting. I never quite think "top tier" when looking at the totems and Shaman. I suppose after all these years there might be enough of a critical mass in Wild.
Downvoting is a curious function - shouldn't technically be used just for disagreeing and having different opinions, and yet you cannot stop anyone from going there (unfortunately). So I wouldn't pay much mind to it in such cases; Brawliseums don't enjoy a great reputation besides.
I didn't feel like gambling on it personally since Wild isn't my "home", but it's nice to hear it's been working out for somebody. If you felt like posting your 12-win deck on the site, we'd be happy to feature it here!
Small updates here and there, mainly added the section on Book of Mercenaries at the end of the article. Matt London really had some special insights to share while working on that specific bug, talk about sudden inspiration.
Edit: Also more on the topic of Secret Sinstone/Master Nguyen interaction, plus a couple of extra links.
Yep, apparently not. I've added a separate paragraph about it, there's been a lot of reports so the devs must be aware one way or another. Perhaps we'll have to wait until the next major client patch.
I still occasionally bother hunting for a speed match (most of the time not drawing the X card that would've been Noz doesn't particularly affect the winrate) as it can be fun; but as it's also not so common, afk queueing into Wild or Casual and leaving it on is one of my alternatives.
I've become inspired enough by this to play a rare game of Battlegrounds (such a strange new thing, these Quests), happen upon Sire Denathrius, and also start off with Dragons. The rest of the story diverted as it all ended up with a divine shield menagerie comp, but also with the 1st place.
I believe the former Battlegrounds Perks weren't available as part of the Castle Nathria pre-purchase bundle anymore, so what you had active was actually dating back all the way to Voyage to the Sunken City (you can compare the pre-orders here and here). So basically got an extra month of it available compared to before (I was in the exact same situation).
It ended up working out this way due to them now separating Battlegrounds Seasons from expansion releases.
I've added both the link and the relevant quote now in the Armor section (sorry, it's been on my mind to do so and must've slipped) listing all the tiers and their values.
Probably a good idea to include this in the future whenever such changes take place, who can even remember all these numbers off the top of their head! (Okay, apparently MurlocAggroB could at least some)
That's definitely the first time I hear of such a strange interaction, although the explanations above make some sense (in the weird "Hearthstone coding" sort of way). Still, could be worth checking with devs whether it's actually intended. Unless one of them has already covered this scenario back when these cards were being released, and I missed it.
Runestones bundles are intended to match common pricing, to try to avoid the "extra Runestones" problem. Pricing is trying to be clear, easy conversions (based on USD). No product irl costs are changing.
The benefit of Runestones overall is they let us offer smaller products. This just makes the higher-end of that system avoid the issues that some virtual currencies have.
Could be considered a little awkward in retrospect. And you'd be surprised how many people I've already seen talking about how they used to grab Arena tickets for cash!
No word on that one, so it could be either. Only somebody who hasn't yet completed the achievement would be able to test, which makes it harder to find out now.

You're right, fixed (and thanks!). My poor eyes, not made for faint Hearthstone backgrounds.
Nice going! And good to hear about its ladder viability, even minus a crucial Epic.

There is even a Hearthstone precedent set (of sorts)!

I always enjoy seeing these insights from people who might be playing the mode a little more than I do!
To be honest, all of these have been pretty much on most everyone's list for a good while. Although ZachO does indeed have a good track record there.
Meanwhile, I've been slacking as usual.

Mhm, I've added a relevant paragraph now. Battlegrounds seems to be heading the route of Mercenaries here.
