Yep, precisely. Swiping to one side just tends to be quicker than clicking 5 times separately (you can't choose what to uncover first on mobile, it always goes from left to right; you only get to adjust the swiping speed).
But you still have to drag separate packs to the right location before you can attempt to open them, same as on desktop.
That depends (I'm used to facing a number of mobile nuisances whenever a larger patch drops). What does it say exactly? I've managed to get through faulty downloads by doing anything that ranged from restarting the device, disabling/enabling wireless connection, to simply retrying a number of times.
Ow, that must be very bothersome. I'm hoping that the coming major update will do some more work in this regard (even if they don't specifically list all of the bug fixes in the patch notes). Otherwise it'll be time to pester them with reports...
That was another confounding aspect of this strange scheduling. Directly going against their own Esports event that was still streaming at the time... I wouldn't be surprised if the person in charge actually had no idea how long these tournaments tend to take on average.
I did not compare as closely (yet) when it comes to skins count, so taking your word for it. Personally I'd rather take another Epic card over a skin I may never end up using, but then cosmetics might have a great value to somebody else.

I saw there were a lot of frustrated people over this. They've definitely dropped the ball... once again. The drop window after the stream was supposed to last longer than the mere 10 minutes we got; certainly not less than an hour in total.

I still remember that time quite well. Pandaria was my favorite WoW expansion, but I was quite reluctant getting into Hearthstone at first (while most of my guild has jumped in instantly; but then not many of them remain slinging cards nowadays). So some of the initial seasons and card backs have been missed out on as a result, probably took even longer for me to start caring about ladder - all I could see was Arena in the past.
I'm glad you had a chance to hit that impressive full collection of all ranked card backs (one way or another, it still counts)! I don't imagine it's very common. I also know I'm way too stingy with my gold to hope to put aside enough for more than a dozen of purchases. ;)

That said, there aren't many Voyage cards I'd want to recraft immediately (Shield Shatter at most for the current Warrior iterations).
Not me, fortunately (and ouch, this still awaits me some day). Sometimes taking it slow pays off. I've heard from many folks who pretty much speed rush through all the tasks as much as they can.
We always aim to make a new card back article within the first days of a month (plus what else to expect), so that gets its time in the spotlight. And we document them ahead of time here (in the navigation menu at the top of the page, you can see "Card Backs" both under "Cards" and "Guides"). Looking at the rest down the line could be a worthy consideration, even though it might not always be simple to tell with the achievements.
You can also always filter for new skins by the patch here ("Hero Skins" under the "Cards" on the navigation menu), but it's probably not common knowledge.
Nice, and good luck! I planned to do the same, but looks like I've already left my Arena runs at 2 losses. Didn't really enjoy the previous "opponents drop Colossals on curve" meta and thought I wouldn't have much reason to play until the new expansion release.
They've already done so earlier in the year, during Grandmasters. But not for Masters Tours, presumably due to the sheer amount of participants, some pretty anonymous. They also stopped showing country flags under the names, seemingly due to world events elsewhere. If it all feels a little silly in HS Esports where 99% of the listed pronouns end up being "he/him", that's probably why.
