Been playing LoR for a bit over a month and have farmed a good portion of the cards but I have to ask: Is there a chance they will nerf some of the mechanics that make this game toxic for newbies at some point? I dont mind getting facerushed or burn-spelled to death, but when I consistently come up against 3-4 recall/stun, deep, unyielding spirit and Heimer decks in every category of play ( Even casual and the tail end of gauntlet) it makes me want to uninstall and go back to some other TCG... Is there hope or should I just quit while I have fond memories? Even the pillage mechanic everyone seems to hate isnt as bad as the previous stuff, at least you can counter it with a strong board.
Some Vets pls chime in. I want to like LoR but... I quit Hearthstone for the same reason, only 3-4 decks can compete and I don't own all the cards.
I actually think this is mostly due to the fact that there isn't many cards in the game yet. Once a few expansions come out and there is a larger pool I'm sure the amount of viable decks will increase 10 fold. Thus adding for more variety among decks on the ladder.
Big cardpool is not a good thing for a newbie, this is why card games rotate expansions (Hearthstone, Magic
I reckon it'll be Thursday at the earliest. I don't think blizz would have two significant events in the game (major nerfs and expansion reveal) hitting on the same date, as they would dilute one another's coverage. Could be wrong, though.
No, the message is clear. On the July 14th there will be a patch. Why is there a patch? Because (my speculation) Blizzard will announce the new expansion and will roll out the patch with the prepurchase card back and prepurchase rogue hero skin.
And with this patch they sneaked out the balance changes.
I updated my cards based on feedback. It seemed Davy Jones had too many stats, so I decided to make it a Deathrattle instead of a Battlecry. I also added a different battlecry to make him more impactful the turn he enters to compensate for him being a 7 mana 7/4. I don't think he is too powerful, since it is 7 mana for just raw stats and no other abilities. But if people still think he is too powerful I can always make him 8 mana.
Ok, you "downgraded" it from 7 mana 13/12 to 7 mana 15/16
I haven't made any Pirate cards prior to this competition. So I went to the internet, collected some cool arts, and made these two cards. What do you think?
I am not too sure on the Balance of Davy Jones. Is it too slow? Is it too hard to deal with? Are the stats/cost good?
7 mana 13/12 on two bodies with permanent stealth on one of them (so single removal does not help) is just waaaay too much.
The main issue with Demon Hunter is the extremely efficient card draw. It is common when playing against DH that I have 15 cards in my deck and they have 5. Without loosing tempo!
I amazed some of those cards even got released.. sure some cards are not that bad, but cleanse is just outright the most racist I ever saw a card be.
I thought to be mad about those cards being "unjustly censored" but actually wtf.. those cards are too much really.. it's not like the blood censorship in HS that had little reason to be censored (Cause of SOME religions feel offended about blood ... really? IDK even which is that religion), why the card game even has cards with those names.. crusade? jihad? why? guess the creativity dies at some point while making cards for 20 years.
Actually Crusade was part of the first release of the game as a card and Jihad of first expansion (both released 1993).
With all respect - I'm not from US and I'm missing a lot of context. Can you please help me to understand, what makes these cards racist? It is not clearly visible for me.
Like, the first one is probably hiding a KKK reference?
But some are more puzzling. Cleanse - Kaja Foglio art is wrong? Or it is wrong that the card destroys black creatures? How about Virtous Ruin - 2B, Destroy all white creatures - it is fine? Btw, how will Wizards handle, that black is the "evil" color swamp people and white is the "righteous" color of pepople from plains?
I completely off on Stone Throwing devils, but again, this may be some US historical reference I do not get.
Jihad, Crusade - real world religion references?
Please, if you think this comment is insensitive (I do not feel it like this, but I'm from country with different cultural problems) let me know and I will delete it.
Yes, with the duplicate protection you also can "condition" your champion capsule to open any champion you want.
Example: You want Sejuani on Freljord capsule, you can craft 3 copy of all 4 other champs (12 cards) to make sure you open it. I know it kinda expensive, but on freljord you already got some starter champs.
Like... maybe it is only me, but - if you want Sejuani isn't it cheaper just craft him than craft 12 other champions to open him?

Wow. Like. wow

Remove Skull of Gul'dan and the class will be fine.
Few old ideas
Expected something like this to happen so I did not started the adventure

I do not think, that this is a free skin. If you check the accompanying cardback, it says you get it when purchasing the Aranna bundle.
Full art for you, guys
Should be $20 for 20 packs + portrait + cardback, so good valu
Nothing, they just made her up for HS
Sooooo... elementals next, and then Totems!
They should make a new card instead of the golden Kael'thas Sunstrider
Not sure but will bring the Solo content at least
