I'd swap the Walking Fountains for two Lifedrinkers - fits the deck better and still heals for (post-quest) 6 HP swing. But definitely looks interesting!
Yeah I didn't take it as BM as much as some "strategy." I'm asking because there's just been a hugely noticeable uptick in occurrences recently. So just odd that suddenly there's a big influx of more "thoughtful" players - especially when many of those are playing things like Murloc Shaman or Token Druid i.e. decks that have fairly standard openings.
It may be anecdotal, but the last ~3 weeks I've seen so many more people rope on turn 1 than I have before (maybe 1 out of every 5-6 games whereas a month ago it was maybe 1 out of 40-50). Is this some new thing i.e. some streamer suggested it to idk throw off your opponent's tempo? I know they're not AFK because they didn't time out on the mulligan selection, so just really confused about what's going on. Am I alone in experiencing this?
1. A shift in Control/Dr Broken Warrior to be more taunt-focused given all the new cards that feed into that
2. Heal Druid is finally going to make an appearance is a real way - I don't expect it to be Tier 1, but it's definitely going to crawl out of the T4/5 pit.
4. Priest might finally come back into the mainstream with the High Priest Amet + Buffs & Boar OTK
Also, I don't expect them to get big, but I'm definitely going to give a few decks a(nother) try:
1. Silence Priest - was *okay* before, but now with more cheap big minions like Sunstruck Henchman and Mortuary Machine it *may* be more consistent.
2. (maybe highlander) Secret Mage - all 3 mage minions revealed so far fit the archetype, so I'm expecting/hoping there will be a new secret revealed. You could reasonably run highlander as well if needed given all the ways to refresh a hand with Mage atm.
Tekahn has some serious antisynergy with EVIL Recruiter. Although it would still be +1/+1 and an added tribe tag.
I see the anti-synergy being more a "back-up plan". If you get Tekahn first then the Recruiter would just be a more or less dead card, BUT if you have to play some lackeys early before you can draw/play Tekahn then Recruiter makes them more useful at that early-game point. So basically one is good early and the other late.
Holy moly. Tekahn is a day-1-craft, hard mulligan every time kind of card. That is just nuts. Also Titanic Lackey will be great for Paladin when they get it with all those new 1-HP minions.
The biggest factor for me is how much gold I've saved to buy packs - if I don't have at least 5K (50 packs) I'll just buy the smaller bundle. Otherwise you start so far behind you'll miss out on at least a few of the more fun decks that I don't have the dust to craft since I never just buy packs normally. Bought RoU since I spent so much gold on the Heist wings, so if what I saw about the PvE being the same way this time around I guess I'll be buying the next expansion as well.
Okay calling it now.. the second paladin epic card will be supporting this reborn mechanic to tying things together.
I think the driving idea behind these Reborn minions' low health is the expectation that they will mostly be played by Paladin for the quest, and thus get health bumps from Never Surrender!
They are printing 4 cards that Bomb Warrior counters. And its not like a small amount of people play that deck.
I had the same thought - so unless T5 is just oblivious (evidence of that notwithstanding), my guess is there HAS to be some new neutral tech minion coming this expansion that diffuses all the bombs in your deck: like E.M.P. Operative except people would actually play it!
Soooo with all these highlander heroes, I guess welcome to Bomb Warrior Meta version 2. Shuffle 2 or more bombs into your opponent's deck and destroy the value of the legendary they built said deck around?
This. That has "OTK" written all over it - I'm sure players better at deckbuilding than I will come up with something. Really interesting now to see what the rest of the SoU Hunter cars will be...
Tried the Gonk Druid - would have won if not against Shaman and both my Witching Hours pulled Frogs feelsbadman. Definitely fun though will give it some more tries.
Sucker for Dragon decks that I am, must say that this looks really fun! Sad I wont get to play it as this may well be the most expensive deck I've ever seen...

3. Anka, the Buried + Mecha'thun OTK Rogue will make a splash - the combo is just too easy to pull off, especially with Myra's Unstable Element to wipe out their decks.

So do we think The Cataclysm shown at 0:40 is legit for the next expansion or just a red herring? Assuming the latter, but....
Henchman is another good card for Silence Priest, so will be interesting to see if that picks up speed.

Great card, but that Flavor Text... *chef kiss*
"In West Cloudidelphia, born and raised; flinging lightning for the rest of my days."
So took 10 mins for mana cost to be revealed, then another 11 mins for the name? See you all February 8, 2023 when we get to see the whole card!

They're revealing Brann hunter legendary at comic-con in an hour.
I'd say swap Elysiana for Barista Lynchen but otherwise looks fairly solid with what we know right now
I love this so much. It's adorable and actually seems like it could be amazing in the right deck. I fully intend to find a way to play with it.
