These are two of my current ideas. For Blazing Suspect, he copies your Hero Power and gives it every effect it had. It can copy effects like Ice Walker and Spirit of the Dragonhawk, but that is probably a bit complcated and may push me towards the Crook.
Blazing Suspect would be too strong - veering very close to OTK territory (maybe that's not an issue for you but I've never been a fan).
2x Daring Fire-Eaters + 1 Clockwork Automaton gives you a 10-dmg HP, so then play two Suspects and there you have 20 dmg worth of spells for only 2 mana.
I like the Crook, but given that the only value would really be copying Lackeys (Rogue only has 3 1-mana minions atm), I might juice it up a bit and say "copy 1-mana minions and give them +1/+1")
Thoughts? The idea is kind of a tweak of Dirty Rat that has more utility than DR since you can hold the copy until the best time to play - either to disrupt a combo, or for your own card advantage if it isn't a combo minion.
Emote spamming is not the only BM that exists though. A lot of what's been getting me is the intentionally roping (intentional meaning every turn or after they've already made their play or even when they obviously have lethal).
I guess my main point: Blizz ALREADY HAS this set up for OW - I can't imagine porting to another one of their games would take much effort.
And while maybe it isn't "necessary" for any one individual match, it can absolutely be good for the overall health of the game to encourage your player to not be juvenile asshats.
To my exact point: I've played a lot less HS the last few days then I normally do in part because I've had my fill of the BM right now. I would expect I'm neither the first nor last player to scale back/stop playing entirely after dealing with consistently toxic opponents.
Ditto! D:OS 1 & 2 are such amazing games I was so pumped when I saw Larian was doing BG3. Glad to see this early stuff looks as good as my expectations were hoping it would be!
I don't what is going on recently, but the past idk two weeks I have had SO MUCH BM it's getting ridiculous. I get that Blizz doesn't want a "reporting" system because salty trolls will just abuse it to spam reports on people that beat them, so in lieu of that I was think why not institute an Endorsement system like Overwatch has to encourage good sportsmanship? Blizzard's own data suggests it works very well (https://www.pcgamesn.com/overwatch/endorsement-system-success) so why not roll it out here.
It could function the exact same way: offer people the chance to endorse their opponent post-game on a few key areas - just off the top of my head maybe "Sportsmanship" i.e. no BMing, "Great Deck" i.e. encourages people to try and come up with fun/interesting decks, and "Strategist" i.e. just straight playing very well. Then like Overwatch your Endorsement level could get you gold/dust/packs on some regular interval. I really think this would cut down on a lot of the nonsense with positive reinforcement of good behaviors and generally make HS a more pleasant place to play. Since they said earlier this week they're looking at things to keep HS strong for "the next decade", handling the toxic elements of your playerbase had to be a key part of that or veteran players will get tired of it and it will be off-putting to new players alike.
For those who don't know/care enough to look it up: the "dianoga" was the monster in the trash compactor scene in Star Wars: New Hope. I figured that would be a dead giveaway given the card art plus the flavor text literally being dialogue from that scene.
My guess is this was some contracted thing between Blizz and Twitch before they struck a new deal with youtube and this is just them "finishing out the contract" rather than breach it. I mean that "reason" re: new battlegrounds stuff sounds let's say "uncharacteristically generous" for what is a minor mid-expansion tweak - reeks of "let's get this over with"...

I didn't notice if they were there when I replied or not, but I'll take you at your word so if it is the Drakes then it'll be your go.
Welcome!
Twilight Drake and Emerald Drake?
Bloodsail Corsair & Bloodsail Raider?
Same type (Pirates & Neutral Minions)
Both have Battlecries (guessing that's what you mean by "same sound") that target Weapons
Different Stats
Both have "Bloodsail" in their names
Mind Control Tech?
Needs a big enemy board and gains a "brother" after taking one?

Thoughts?
Heroic Innkeeper?
Not sure about the brother line but she needs a board and has a sword...
Stormwind Champion?
Yep you've got it!

Nope
To get out of this, you'll need to be flexible
Perhaps try some stretching or yoga?
No place to hide,
with death on each side!
At least there are no Dianoga?
HA! I was just trying to think of druid cards that had "moon" relations and did 2 dmg so there we go...
Biology Project
The one mana card gives 2 mana to both players and is never played outside of very aggressive ramp combos like Moonfire OTK
I can't get the right version so to show, so just pasting the image:
This Moonfire does 2 dmg & comes off the Choose one from Keeper of the Grove
Never used unless it's a kill shot with Spell Dmg combos
Name obviously but also moonkin in the art.
Rising Winds?
Twinspell that give two cards/minions and costs 2 mana
Isn't used much outside of people playing completed Untapped Potential

Yeah even with the "once per game" restriction, that is going to be pants-on-head bonkers in MANY situations...
