I perfectly know that Firebat tends to play what he thinks it's good in order to be ahead of times for GM and stuff. That's why I took him as a parameter to judge the (most likely) goodness of archetypes.
For example, if he played and refined Highlander Demon Hunter for 7 straight hours (7 or so) then he must be thinking that said deck will be more than a tier 3 list.
But yeah, Paladin may have some issue with aggro in the earliest stages of the game. I think Bronze Explorer will help a bit but we'll have to wait for another 5 days.
That's why I tried to stay away as much as possible from those streams.
Is (X) archetype going to suck? Well let me find it out the hard way.
I'm a bit hesitant about Kibler's deckbuilding abilities: he's certainly a better player than I'll ever be, but at the same time he's really into memes. I would be a lot more worried if Firebat ended up on the same conclusion.
I'm not ragging on Kibler (I actually like his stream and his content, as well as his personality in the HS community), but I'm just trying to be objective.
First of all, if you want quests to be faster to complete for casual players you just make them easier: tweaking the probability of getting a higher reward can't be reasonably connected to the sake of improving casual players' experience. It's like a person hiding himself behind a finger.
Secondly, what I'm sad about it not the change in itself (but yeah, I'm not happy about it) but rather the fact that we had to ask for clarifications. A couple of lines in the last patch notes would have solved this issue, but they didn't do it because they probably didn't want to ruin the hype.
^^ This is the biggest concern in my opinion: stealth changes (especially the ones that are done in that way because someone gets the short end) are really annoying.

Stealth changes the algorithm for quests, making them reward less gold on average
Community starts to notice but who knows, it might be a bug or something

The damage is not a huge deal (if we'll get 60 gold half of the times we'll get around 600 less gold between every expansion, which is remarkable but not the end of the world), but the discouraging lack of (good) communication, the same that happened with The Caverns Below's stealth nerf of October and the missing dailies bug of September.
Everyone is cheerful and friendly when it comes to push the preorders of the brand new expansions, but then... void. We're seeing steps in the right direction, but man this kind of things really makes me feel uncomfortable.
Uuuuh I like this thread idea. Here are my three wishes:
1) Lady Liadrin - it is part of pretty much the only archetype I'm really looking forward to play (Libram Paladin). The card in itself is quite bad (vanilla 4/6 for 7 mana), but if they overcosted it so much I think it is because it is totally worth it. Plus Libram of Hope seems to be a sweet counter to Demon Hunters, a class that I think will be half of the meta once AoO hits.
2) Zixor, Apex Predator - such a sweet card overall, in a class that can tutor it and its prime form, buff it, multiply its deathrattle and use it as an OTK quite easily. This is gonna be fun.
3) Maiev Shadowsong - a lot of people think it will be Zilliax levels of popularity, so might as well just unpack it and save the 1600 dust right?
I'm so glad Mind Control Tech will rot in Wild: I remember after Uldum launch that I wasn't able to play more than 3 minions if I didn't want to be punished and, guess what, playing on a 7-space board with your potential more than halved can be quite difficult sometimes.
So inconsistent yet so rage inducing, I don't have good memories about this card even when I was the one playing it. Just no. Its entry line is way more triggering than LEEEEEEEROOOOOOY NNNJENKIIIIIINS because if you lose, well, you lose. But with MCT you get your good stuff stolen and your opponent uses it to beat you to death: it's a coin flip you almost always lose, and no matter how it ends up one of the two players will be sad for sure. Probably one of the worst feelings (and designs, as Iksar himself admitted) you can get from this game.
As you might have understood, I'm not a fan of this card. Fuck Mind Control Tech.

I think DH and Paladin are superior and Rogue is evenly matched.
God I really hope Paladin will be as good as it looks on paper. Please RNGesus.

I don't understand the inclusion of Underlight Angling Rod: this deck has no Murloc synergy outside of Murgur Murgurgle, which is playable on its own.
I think Paladin has far better cards to play ([Hearthstone Card (Tirion Fordiring) Not Found] for example) and you should stick with those.
