My all time favorite deck is Reno Priest: I find the interaction between Raza the Chained and Shadowreaper Anduin so fun that when the former got unnerfed I crafted the whole list and I've brought it to high legend multiple times since then.
Do you really think that the fact that a dev likes a certain archetype means that it will be continuously pushed? Cause if your answer is yes then I'm afraid you're pretty narrow-minded. No offense but it's just the truth.
The devs are people like us, who have presences and such, but I really (and I can't stress it enough) doubt that their personal biases are the main parameter they use to balance the game. It would be extremely foolish and the game would be in a much more terrible situation.
Iksar just went through an interview in which he got asked some personal questions, what did you expect him to answer? "Well, I can't say any deck above tier 2 cause then the community will cry over my personal tastes, so I'll go with Mech Mage to make everyone happy"? People like playing strong deck, no shit.
Arcane Flakmage (in Wild at least) is a stupid card and I can get along with it, but Mage is supposed to be good at Secrets (even the last set got us a couple goodies), so what?
Imagine all the devs enjoying Tempo Warrior or Wild Reno Priest right now, but just because you don't know their name then everything is fine and not biased?
Let me remind you this are the same guys that have declared their all time favorite decks are Secret Mage and Pirate Warrior and in fact Iksar himself is seen playing Secret Mage from time to time. How could you expect solid ideas from this ppl.
This is why we receive less and less communication from the devs
I don't understand the meaning of your post: yeah, Ysera, Unleashed and Dragonqueen Alexstrasza are indeed both good cards, but how does that relate to the news?
Their effect is not much RNG related, but rather it depends on Standard's Dragon pool, a tribe designed to contain units with a big body/strong effect. It's not that those cards are tweaked so that they'll give you minions that are bigger/more impactful than the average Dragon.
Edit: it appears that I may have poorly expressed my ideas. See Lyra's comment.
Definitely. Some choices didn't really make sense.
Take Priest for example: back in those days, Anduin's only viable archetypes were Combo (Divine Spirit/Inner Fire) and Resurrect. While Lightbomb was a reasonable inclusion for the latter, Vol'jin made no sense at all.
There are still some Classic cards that need to be replaced, but on the other hand the devs themselves stated that Whizbang will stay as a Wild-only card.
A few hours ago I faced this exact same list on ladder!
It was EU Legend and the opponent was around rank 400 (406 if I remember well). Can't find the Battletag cause I was playing without decktracker: was it you by chance?
So... if I'm not mistaken: this evening we'll be able to (finally) complete the legendary quest from last week but we'll have to wait in order to get the rewards.
Sounds kind of illogical to me, but it is probably because I'm missing/not understanding something.

Pew pew pew

You wrote yourself Renounce Darkness for Warlock and Lock and Load (although this one made more sense) for Hunter.
Such a shame.
In two weeks at worst.

Doom in the Tomb was not a terrible idea (quit the opposite if I can say so), but I dare to say that they thought it out pretty poorly.
Changing cards after one month would have been okay, but choosing them with more care would have been fine too.
N'Zoth, the Corruptor and Evolve gave birth to some really degenerate builds.
Indeed: the reward for collecting all Pirates from the Classic set was Captain's Parrot.
Same thing but with Murlocs for Old Murk-Eye.

Rastakhan's Rumble's Exodia Mage was quite challenging
I think you're right: I tried to complete the final fight of chapter one and got the rewards.
Oh well, it the end all went well so nothing to say.

Well the fact that it is from the last expansion is by itself a good deal.
I remember that some years ago we got packs from previous expansions (like Witchwood even though Doomsday was out).
Pog we did it
Yup, fixed it. Apparently someone... *cough cough*... pasted the wrong code.
Just to discover that also Aranna will scream "vengeance!" when attacking ahah
This change makes me think that maybe we could see some form of Nightmare Amalgam again in the future. Who knows? We'll just have to wait and see.
Yes, she is.
