    Never concede guys!

I played the infinite quest druid with Elise and Balefull Banker but a quest shaman grinded me out till i lost the combo to necessary tempo plays. I was left with 3 health, a couple Zephrys, Floops and Bankers with no cards in my deck. In some desperate atempt i froze his fully evolved board and shuffled another Zephrys into my deck.

The guy played The Stormbringer and got an Octosari with one card left in his deck!! He didn’t survive the turn despite full health!

There got to be a real good reason to move HS players to LoR. Many invested lots if money and time into the game and won’t switch just like this.

It could be a good F2P competitor but i doubt that .

So basicly their update schedule is the same as Hearthstone atm. 3 expansions with 3 (instead of 2 in HS) smaller patches per year.

Also, were do you get the duplicate cards from? No random pack opening is interesting but at the core, the system seems familiar.

Frequent updates require you to own a larger portion of the collection. We‘ll see how large and expencive that portion is.

Dumb me, shadowstep ofc. I run two of them. You obviously can play Nzoth again and on top of that combo it with the scheme due to mana discoun

N‘Zoth - backstab - Toggwaggls scheme and off you go. This counters every lategame that is not otk

In all fairness, not copying anything after 5 years of hearthstone is near impossible. Among over 300 base cards there got to be some similarity.

Also, the stats/mana ratio seems to be very close to HS. This makes the cards easy to understand for us hearthstoners and i like it!

I really don’t like the text arrangement in those cards. It feels Strange that the card name is higher or lower on the card dependent on the size of the text.

Riot definitly has experience in balancing games and most importantly, is known for frequent updates. Also TFT is proof that they are able to design other stuff than MOBA‘s.

Frequent updates don’t work well with a highly priced TCG such as hearthstone. Therefore my hopes are that the business model is based on skins and graphics. Also, i want to get quickly into the game. I‘m not ready to grind 6 months until i‘m able to play competitive decks without spending money.

It‘s a tough time for a new competitor imo, Hearthstone has done an amazing job in 2019 and they are still improving

200? He opens around 800! At least he did before he pressed the button. I don’t watch those card openings anymore so idk if that’s still accurate.

I honestly would do the same in his position. HS is 80-90% of his life for years now and his full time Job at the same time. Seems not that awefull to invest 2-3k/year into your ow business.

Gonna try most of these, nice meta report! I‘m a little behind on the meta so this post was super usefull!

A little annoying that deck codes don’t work propperly with the wild cards though

    Yea i never got to see that! But Kripp had it for years before he pressed his disenchant button. Probably allmost the only guy who ever had duplicate golden legendarys ;

Great summary! I personally love the new (old) drafting without buckets. Long term arena knowledge really pays off, especially with only wild cards.

Also, no basic and classic is extremly refreshing! Secrets give me headaches because i‘m so used to play around the classic stuff, love it!

    Some worthy mentions:

    - A guy played Bolster as if it was Into the Fray with a Hand full of taunts. Allways read your cards guys.

    - I got Reno Jackson in a Warrior/Warlock and he carried me easily to 12 wins. As you said, taunt and healing are premium.

    - I think, the Legendary occurence rate has gone up. I am above 1 Legendary/deck in 5 runs.

    - Premium cards like Tar Creaper litterlay win games on turn 3.

    - Poison is bonkers because of the lack of removal.

    - The little removal i have is often used for early tempo plays instead of later value turns. You can generally capitalize endlessly on a strong turn 5 or 6.

Really good impressions so far! Haven‘t enjoyed arena this much in a long time

A little advice to save you some money: if you want to build wild decks, crafting the cards is allmost allways the best choice. Except for the very first pack of wotog, aiming for specific epic or legendary cards is highly luck dependent and expencive.

Now that i think of it, wotog may be an exception because of the high amount of common c‘thun support cards. But still, i wouldn‘t buy more than 10.

Instead, buy the cheaper bundles if you are ready to spend money. It‘s a better dust value and the cards may open up possibilies in standard play aswell.

Little justification. Standard players buy packs because:

    1. Pre purchase is a relativly good deal

    2. A hughe chunk of the cards will be playable in the upcoming meta.

Both points aren‘t the case for wild. Meta defining cards are spread over a large number of expansions and can’t reasonably be collectes through card opening.

I agree, the punishment is hard. But people have lost their jobs for less.

As for the NBA story (i only took 5 minutes to read into it, sorry if i‘m wrong), it seems to me that they didn‘t act quick enough and can‘t take it back now. People have apologized and „regret“ what happened. This is not done yet anyways.

Blizzard is no white knight in this story, sure. But my point is, we can’t blame them for not acting. Especially not out of our comfortable situations.

Chinese human rights violations are something, that should not be acceptable. But let’s all take a step back.

It‘s not Blizzards responsability to fight this battle. It‘s certainly not the Hearthstone Grandmasters Tour that should be the Platform for this discussion.

Blizzard never wanted to be involved and that’s 100% normal. Blitzchung forces them to take sides. They can‘t ignore it. They most certainly can‘t publicly support his statement. Blizzard  has rules to follow aswell, both with shareholders and the chinese government. It‘s not a single person taking this decision and its consequences.

If Blizzard in your eyes is unethical, so is every international company that is involved in China. Heck, every government that trades with this country!

What happened is unfortunate and it feels wrong to ignore it. But if you care about this subject, it‘s wrong and hippocrit to make Blizzard responsable for anything.

    15. 15 games lost in a row. It has become funny at this point. I got quickly into rank 3 this month. Now i keep losing at 0-Star rank 5.

This is statistically allmost impossible... Before you rage, i know this game is not rigged and i certainly stopped playing well down the road but still ... This is so fucking unlikely to happen!

Not even mad at this point, i feel like i witnessed something unique and special :‘

To my understanding, it‘s one for the future expansion. You will not recieve the card right away and they said something about a reveal on blizzcon if i remember correctly.

If this card would be a Marin the Fox 2.0, the promo is a hughe scam imo. There is a big difference between a regular golden leggy and a golden Marin. The first is unlocked content or in game value, the second purely cosmetic. On top of that, you don’t even know what cosmetic you are buying.

I mean, i don’t blame blizzard for giving away cosmetics with blizzcon tickets but promoting this as a full value golden legendary is wrong

That would be so great! It‘s a refreshing meta for basicly no developpment cost. New cards are often build arounds and will still be necessairy to play the game in all it’s diversity. The incentive to spend money remains but the cost for individual decks can easily be cut in half.

Old players get nostalgia and diversity.

New players don’t need 6 legendarys for a single deck.

The worst part about the current classic set is, that half the legendarys are completly useless but disenchanting them only decreases the chance to open actually usefull cards.
