I agree on the visuals and sound. I would guess they toned it down a little on purpose, given that some phones can‘t handle this Version already.
Turn Timers are fine imo. Waiting times >30 seconds are tedious. Plus short timers add additional skill to the mode.
They would be stupid not adding different cards and strategies to the game mode. For a beta it’s fine though. Easy to learn, Not to overwhelming, ... just as the Original HS bet
I‘m a little tired of those casual complains. I get your point, you want those Trolden worthy Highkeeper Ra or Desert Obelisk finishes... well they aren‘t worth a dime if you have to face a Mecha‘thun hunter to get there. You may aswell play against the inkeeper.
Other people use casual as a place to learn new decks they just crafted. How can you blame them for that?
Can‘t you just see netdecks as the ultimate challenge for your homebrew? If you can’t get to 40% winrate, the roblem may not be the netdeck but your own.
It‘s like casually playing Tennis but using a badminton racket.
That's not an apt analogy at all.
A better one would be: I'm an amateur tennis player at my local club looking to casually play against other middle-age weekend schlub players, except wow look at that today my opponent is Rafael Nadal. Mr. Nadal could and should easily find better opponents than me, but here he is kicking my teeth in because he wants to try out a new backhand or restrung racket.
See how that might make me resent him for raining on my parade even though he may have a "good reason" for doing so?
I know the analogy isn‘t perfect but it underlines my argument.
Also, it‘s the tool (i.e the deck) that’s op, not the player. There are no grandmasters, and probably only few legend players in casual. It‘s no Nadal that’s beating your ass, it‘s your neighbour with his new shiny Carbon racket. You can beat him with an average racket, especially with higher skill. But it’s wayyyy more difficult with the 3kg wooden racket you found on the attic of your grandpa.
Ps: People would stand in line for the opportunity to play with Nadal, not resent him. And those people wouldn’t expect to win but maaan would they be proud if they won a ball or two. I would suggest a similar approach to netdeck- matchups

It seems cool to me, lots of room for updates and new features! I actually like the simplistic nature of it, it’s not supposed to be an entire new game. Easy to get into, intuitive and refreshing!
The questions that remain are, how the ranking and reward system will work. I am a little afraid that this mode is closer to Tavern Brawls and Solo adventures than to normal play mode or at least arena.
I wouldn‘t blame blizz for coppying the autochess genre. HS itself is just a „coppy“ of MtG. New game ideas become popular and the big companys obviously try their Version of it. In blizzards case, the game is easy to understand and watch, probably not highly competitive (although i could see a high skill cap here aswell!) and prioritizes entertainment. If you want more balanced, skill dependent auto battlers, you got plenty of options already...
Very casual month this time, Arena hooked me for good. Still managed to get to Rank 1! I may try legend on the last day if i can find some time. I played a bunch of T2 decks and worse. N‘zoth rogue got me far, highlander hunter is still fun, Druid was great before shaman got so prominent, ...
Highlander Paladin lost me a bunch of stars, i fail to find the win condition on this one.
Overall i‘m doing well in this shamanstone! But i guess all good shaman players are long legends by now..
Deathwing, mad aspect could actually work. It simply attacks until it dies.
I‘m wondering if they add the „if you‘re Holding a Dragon“ mechanic. Technicly possible but it would feel weird for Battlegrounds.
A slow card that rewards some more slow cards ..
Damn, i forgott to vote for a team :’(
I highly doubt that. Those streams are generally big success and probably boost prepurchase once more.
Edit: are we talking about the final reveals or a stream this evening
Nope, it was 5 Gold per 5 wins if i remember correctly! But that didn’t last very long.
Haven‘t seen a 50g yet since the update! It’s a small difference but i like it. We started at frequent 40g quests back in the day .
As i said before, this is one of the most diverse unbalanced metas we‘ve ever seen.
Shaman is dominating but druid, hunter, rogue, paladin and priest are all viable classes. Even warrior and mages are often seen around ranks 5 and 4.
We have seen much worse this late into an expansion. Just think about Rastakhan and the ongoing Odd Paladin overdose
Yea sure. Blizzard not giving out a game entirely for free is an issue.
F2P only gets to play the demo.

This is super bad.. only usable in the last fight and you would deal 6 damage only

I recently realized that you can use specific portraits for different decks.
Maiev for quest Rogue, Valeera for tempo etc.
Now my deck collection feels much more like a crowded tavern!
Unable to logg in :’(

1 mana 6/6? I guess we‘ll do this quest more than once..
Great effect but at 9 mana, you rely on a big dude to stick... not gonna happen.
Probably something, highlanders can work with but still
Big game hunter, welcome back to the Tavern
The power level of those cards... Druid got pre nerf wild groth that draws a card!!
The Dragon theme is crazy good to shake up the meta! Those cards create new archtypes and don’t just fit into old ones.
