Thanks for the heads up, just got F1 manager! I'll probably have the time to play it at retirement. Or i hope Epic is still here when my kids grow old enough :)))
"To make room for these updates, we’ve removed some stand-out cards from last year, including burst damage and some of the more frustrating effects. "
Why do these mor*ns keep making them then?! It's like: design sh*t, remove said sh*t, design other sh*t, remove/bring back a combination of the two. Rinse and repeat.
Also, it seems being able to Paste in a comment's body is not working anymore on mobile (at least). The only option showed when keeping the finger pressed is "Link".
I'm still into Path of exile 2. Maps are hard and i seem to have hit a gear or build wall on the frost sorceress. Very odd. There's also little better gear for what i want to play. I'm hoping the game is not designed to force me into certain overpowered builds with certain unique items. If that's the case i'm uninstalling. Not reached that point yet though; still having some hope and getting better at dodging.
Just saw Humankind is free on Epic. Thinking about buying all the dlcs and retrying this game.
Civ 7 is also on the radar but all the changes seem lackluster and bad. Instead of creating an actual AI and making empire interaction/diplomacy something realistic and diverse, they did a stupid console port and stole the age system and implemented it badly (by forcing the age change). Imagine having an AI that learns from how people are playing and adapting its strategy based on the civ the human player picked, the victory conditions and/or an option of actively trying to stop the player winning (over its own agenda). Wouldn't that be awesome? Tough luck, we get the same stupid AI and forced age changes and console ported UI and little depth of mechanics. I'll never pay for this shit game considering it's mostly a reskinned civ 6 and costs a lot (even without the future dlcs).
... or any space/turn-based game you enjoy (that is not Baldur's gate lol).
Curious to find out about any hidden gems out there.
If it helps, I did review some demos from Steam's Outer Space Fest about 4 months ago. Only Dark Sky was turn-based, though; there's also a review around here somewhere of the demo for Dimensionals, which is sorta what you might be looking for. I enjoyed Everspace 2 a lot, but it's not turn-based.
For something that is both turn-based and space-themed, but not reviewed by me, I can point you towards Endless Space, or the sequel!
Thanks for the links! I do know about endless space and distant worlds, but my play time is very limited :(
Anyway, they don't have to be both space and turn-based, but either-or. Or any strategic/rpg game overall, (without anime graphics if possible).
I do have some games in the wishlist, so maybe something fits what you like for a review, too: Songs of Syx, Silence of the Siren, Soulash 2, Stranded Alien dawn, Stardeus.
I'm fully into POE2 at this time. And it's awesome. Except some UI quirks which i hate :) Also, i wish they integrated the trading web page into the game.
Right now, cruel difficulty is kind of hard, so i'll have to trade for some better items overall. Also, refunding passives is TOO EXPENSIVE. Changing builds is not gonna happen soon - another issue i have with the game.
On mobile i'm playing Balatro. Reached ante 16 or 17 the highest. There's so much rng involved that most runs end up squashed quite early due to lack of increments of any kind. Probably getting a good/fulfilling game out of 4-5, but i guess it's fine. I'm not known for being lucky lol.
Damn life doesn't let me play the whole day, so i had to pause Stalker 2 and others. At least i'm glad there's no burnout with POE2 yet, but i do hate having to redo all the acts on cruel difficulty. I always hated this formula in Diablo too. Hopefully i won't get bored soon.
I've gotten into Path of exile 2 and it's awesome! The bosses are tough as hell. The act 2 one is damn annoying for my sorceress. More or less it feels like a Souls game and I like it. Some systems need improvements (stupidly limited inventory, respeccing is too expensive in my opinion) but the patches are good.
Also eager to try the new HUGE patch in Stalker 2, and check the changes to A-Life. Apparently they fixed what was annoying me most about the game lol.
Started playing Supreme Ruler since i've had this game for a great while now. It's quite overwhelming and the tutorial not that great. Might need some youtube tutorials to really get what's going on. Nevertheless, the game is great! Really curious how the 1914 german campaign merges into the next eras (1936 and so on), if it even does that! The game seems to have great freedom, so not sure if there are any scripted events going to happen (like ww2 in 1939). Also, the game goes up to 2020 or so, and it's really funny (and sad) that the american campaign of that year is the one from Trump. There's even a "build a wall" decision in the game. Lmao!
Secondly, i also played some Interstellar Space Genesis. And finished an "election victory" within a few hours! It's strange because i usually play these games (like stellaris, civ) ad infinitum and never actually finish them. When things get too messy i just start anew. I guess my huge pleasure is at the start, before everything gets too crowded and/or powerful. No game (4X) has managed to capture this feeling for a long time :( All in all, the game is really good and you should try it if it's your genre of choice.
Worms MD (2016), Panzer Elite (1996?) - was fun researching how to make it work under windows 11 (dgVoodoo rulz), Empyrion Galactic Survival. And my usual shit - tales&tactics, pathfinder, tainted grail.
Pondering whether to start endless space 2. Had a very heavy discount for it on GOG and bought it.
What if i don't have a favorite game?😝 Even though i haven't played in years i'd make WoW much harder and much less grindy. Regarding HS i'd hire designers that know how to make the game fun without a monthly/expansion meta each and every time - basically, someone who knows how to move away from the idea of a meta in card games.

I wish my country banned tik-tok too. At least it seems they did it properly in the US, i.e. targeting the main company not just the app.
Hopefully Snap resumes soon. It's a collateral that shouldn't have happened. Now it's high time to change the publisher.

We should *not* rest on our laurels! :D
Unfortunately, the gaming community is too little to gather the 1 million votes it seems...

As long as some whales keep paying for this shit. They have no intention of employing good designers
Can you please make the report form to not require any text written before its submission? The reason chosen should be enough most of the time
You can. It's just hard and requires desire to do it. And knowledge ofc.
