  • Team5 really dont learn from past mistakes do they? Or is this perhaps we can assume one of the design team's partner being a rogue main. Because let's be real here, this is a rogue card in all but name.

So what can rogue do with this? Well, practically everything what Mailbox Dancer used to do except without the courtesy of at very least granting your opponent a coin as well. Just play this, Shadowstep and get a bunch of coins, then destroy your opponent with either draka or a massive unfair ghost on turn 3.

The conditions paltry. 2 mana cards aren't exactly rare nor difficult to play so even a casual deck builder will usually end up with at very least 4 of those in the deck, never mind seriously building around this.

I can also see druid and warrior playing this, but its likely just gonna be mostly in rogue.

  • Quote From Pezman

What is the deal with snake oil? I'm so curious. Will there be a card that damages you for each snake oil in your deck?

Its a flavor thing. Snake oil is popularly sold as a (fake) panacea that's a rather popular trope in western films.

As for its function, its a 0 mana spell that does nothing and can be traded for a card.

  • The only good thing about this card is that its a 1 mana 2/2, something of a rarity nowadays.

At least the worthless snake oil is 0 mana, so rogues would love it. I look forward to everyone having yet more conversations as to what constitute as a spell because this card's entire virtue is indeed that 0 mana 'spell' that discounts yogg and triggers Prison Breaker among other things.

One more thing which I only recently discovered. The snake oil actually does 0 damage, which means spell damage does affect it. Perhaps in mage then, or in some crazy OTK yet to be established.

  • A pointless card for ragers yet again.

So you think with the poisonous tag you'd at least make it a 1/5 then. Well, team5 saw your common sense and raise you an absolute shit by making this an unplayable card at 5/1, with a monstrous attack stat that effectively does fuck all.

I suppose it does play the flavor. Rager cards are usually godawful so this card is at very least fulfilling the traditions.

  • Just another brewmaster, as though anyone is asking for more.

Yes, there is the buff so youre not wasting your time entirely, and Bog Slosher did see play for what its worth, but I wouldn't hold my breath on this card. Playing something, then bouncing it just to buff it isn't exactly what anyone would say as efficient.

It does have a unique combo with Azerite Chain Gang, so if you play that on 5 and your opponent doenst clear it you get three more 4/5 taunts for 6 mana, which is at least a winning play. But once that gets sus out it'll likely never happen again in competitive.

  • It'll see play because its doing what it says on the label and your opponent has to clear it or they risk doubling your value.

Whether it'll ever be as good as Peasant is more hard to say, because the whole point of peasant is against half the classes in hearthstone they wouldn't usually have answer, and the other half would likely need to coin to handle it.

This card however, doesnt boast any of the advantages of peasant but at very least it'll draw you a card. I suppose it balances out.

  • Its just a shit card in the same vein as Gankster

You play this card, your opponent then chooses what to sack and then both are back to square one. Youve just wasted a turn and 2 mana, and your opponent just sac a minion he probably doesnt care about.

Doesnt even prevent battlecries. So what is the point of this card other than as filler, or more likely as an inevitable achievement to grind out.

  • Poor, but that's hardly fair to the card because its entirely here as fodder for Flint Firearm

You'll never see this as an inclusion into decks, but at very least as a quickdraw card it isnt 100% completely shit.

  • Flavorful but worthless.

You'll never rely on this card to do the works of disruption and even worse still it has an even chance of screwing you over.

Aside from an incoming shit achievement that's very nearly bound to happen, it'll never see any play.

  • Possibly the most powerful neutral that has been revealed so far aside from Kingpin Pud

Basically speaking you not only now has access to strong neutral healing, this card can also deal face damage, and by its tradeable tag it can never be stuck in hand so its quickdraw is very nearly always relevant.

In rogue, this is just ten mana deal 12 with shadowstep, and its likely in that deck that this card becomes most relevant.

  • You can never write off cards like these.

But I feel in this instance I can say with certainty that this card would never see play unless there's like an influx of tens of cheap beasts and a massive draw option associated with beasts.

Because essentially, most of the good beasts often already have rush and this card doesnt even have good stats for its cost. So you plunk this wabbit down on 2 and then it gets value traded and you cry. If you needed a two mana card that grants rush consistently, just play Castle Kennels which also gives out +2 damage.

If youre playing this at all its because you love bunnies. An admirable quality but nevertheless during fights it'll grant you nary a word but a nose twitch while you're bleeding from your nose.

  • The card is trash.

But it'll still see play because of Kingpin Pud. Really what else is there to say? 4/4 for 3 is no longer as good as it was during GvG when Ogre Brute was introduced and in fact is a mere slap to the face for the one playing it. But clearly team5 didnt feel comfortable enough to raise this to a 4/5 which would have made this card true quality.

  • 100% gonna see play because its basically Bad Luck Albatross in a meta that's gonna have highlander decks in it.

Only downside though? The drawn albatrosses costs 1 mana to play whereas the snake oil doesnt. So its sole purpose is to deflate highlander decks and nothing else. Might even be worse if played against rogue.

  • Of all the ogre gang cards this is easily the best one.

Basically there's little to no downside. 3 damage will be served one way or another, although admitably its annoying to face tank some damage, but its still going to do what its says on the label, as opposed to the other ogre gang cards.

Will it see play? Well of course it would, because Im 100% certain Kingpin Pud would so this card gets the nod by sheer association.

  • Remember Augmented Porcupine? No, me neither.

So, you play this with a smile and your opponent immediately value trades it, takes two damage that doesnt kill anything, and counters your smile with an even bigger smirk

No, you dont want that to happen to you. Not that it would anyway, because this card would never see play unless there's some way to grant this forever stealth, and even then it'll still be only slightly shinier crap.

  • Its not great. You wouldn't want to ram this into a minion without having at least some semblance of control over what the outcome would be.

That said, its real lucky for these cards that Kingpin Pud is so ridiculously good that even bs cards like these would see play if only by virtue of being more fodder for pud to resurrect.

  • Basically this is just for elemental heavy decks to get an easy cheap 8/8 as early as turn 4.

Will this be enough for both elemental mage and shaman, because let's face it no other class can ever manage enough good elementals to be a deck. My answer would be possibly for mage, but unlikely for shaman. Mage can get this as early as turn 3, which might be relevant but shaman would be forced to wait further into turn 5.

Ultimately though, this is not the payoff you need for running elemental decks. When midrange elemental shaman was a thing, that was roughly 2 years back and even then it sucks. Tons more support is required to even bother going there again, and this card isnt it. A nice little support card, nothing else.

  • There might be a chance this card gets nerfed to 7, stupid as it might sound.

Because if you manage to curve out the ogre gang cards then slap this on 6 your opponent has to have an AoE or they die. And in the case of rogue, they would need two AoE back to back or die. For all intends and purposes, this card resembles Imp King Rafaam but because of the rush + windfury might actually end up being tons better than rafaam could ever be.

  • Silly though it might be, theres actually a good chance these ogre gang cards actually sees play, at least in rogue.

Basically all the ogre cards have rush and are technically not 100% inconsistent aside from Ogre-Gang Outlaw. So you can theorectically curve into Kingpin Pud, shadowstep, and have an instant reload option that spawns a bunch of angry, windfury ogres that needs to be answered.

  • If you only want to enjoy elden ring in terms of map design and screw the bosses, you can always just summon a pal, or just use mimic, who pretty much trivialize bosses (with one notable exception).

People tend to complain that fromsoft games are too difficult, or theres no easy option but truth is there's always an easy option for those who dont care for its difficulty. Summon a dude and the game usually gets beaten for you.
