The Last Kaleidosaur. My favorite decks are midrange ones that let me buff my minions and build a strong board. Unfortunately, Galvadon wasn't a great payoff. Even if it were, I don't remember having a lot of great buffs and I often died just before or shortly after playing my dino friend.
Two ideas so far. The first is a "don't mind this, just Priest doing Priest things" card. Horrific Vision is all about N'Zoth: it takes good, wholesome minions, summons corrupted copies, and makes them serve N'Zoth (in Hearthstone terms) by adding the Deathrattle. Said Deathrattle represents the infinite nature of N'Zoth's minions, but it's more of a Shaman effect, so perhaps it doesn't fit.
I also considered "...swap their Attack and Health", which would reflect the madness aspect of Horrific Visions, but would not synergize with Hearthstone N'Zoth (thematically). Mechanically, it might be better; maybe you DON'T want a garbage 1-drop being summoned by N'Zoth, even if it's sticky on board. Perhaps you want your own, busted Deathrattles to be summoned by N'Zoth! I also considered increasing the number of copied minions and making it a Legendary spell, but 1) Then it couldn't/shouldn't be in Whispers of the Old Gods, as that set was long before the first Legendary spell, and 2) I don't think the effect is unique enough to warrant that.
As for Nether Ritualist, I think it's too similar to shaveyou's Roaring Inferno. I wanted to tap into the curse aspect of Warlocks (and the name could be amusingly appropriate if a key card is destroyed), but it seems like several people had similar ideas when it comes to Warlock screwing with their opponents. I also don't love the wording; I modeled it after Clockwork Goblin, since there are no other cards to support the Curse of Doom mechanic and it needs to be explained (does it?). And... well, maybe it shouldn't even be a minion, just a spell on its own! Incidentally, I'll be happy if "Troll Bomb Warlock" never becomes a thing.
Well, I didn't waste that much, since I got Liadrin fairly early in my pack opening. But I did have to craft a few Librams and other cards to support a Pure version of the deck. Shows what I know about what will work and what won't :P
It should run mostly Neutrals? Based on what, your personal preference? Class cards are meant to be stronger than Neutrals, so it makes sense for them to be used as long as they synergize well enough. Demon Hunter cards do. I'll agree that Blizz erred on the side of "busted" when designing DH cards, so I do expect a few more nerfs in the near future. But the initial cards work together to support an aggressive Tempo playstyle very well, so of course they'll be used.
Well, countering weapon removal is still nice, but with that in mind I think it's too weak. Oh well! Lesson learned. I just saw Competitive Spirit and thought, "Ok, so Secrets CAN resolve on my turn" - but it has specific text and resolves immediately at the start of my next turn.
Maybe one day I'll be more creative. Ha! I just like solid cards that I understand the power of (but I need a lot more practice to balance them properly). Also, I keep forgetting about this thread until after I make my submission.
Anyways, I'm here because I started thinking about its interaction with Eaglehorn Bow if it's destroyed on your turn. To be clear, I don't want it to interact, since it'd be weird for Eaglehorn to go to 0 Durability, trigger the Secret, then pop back up to 1 Durability. I tried to avoid this by choosing the word "after", but in terms of the game's mechanics, I'm not sure how this scenario would resolve. Does anyone know?
Sorry if this isn't an appropriate place to ask this. When we're choosing which expansion our card is part of, are there any considerations besides flavor? Specifically, do we need to worry about keywords on our card that didn't exist during the expansion we chose? E.g., Rush on a card from anything before The Witchwood.
Professional (ish? Well, it has real prizes, at least) Hearthstone on Twitch in 2020? YAY! YouTube has a long way to go when it comes to video game livestreams.
I don't quite follow how a joke about card game(s) could even remotely contribute to misinformation about a pandemic. However, if you're just tired of seeing misinformation about said pandemic and don't want people to experience a similar feeling when looking for news about card game(s), that makes sense. You don't sound self-righteous about it (i.e., shaming others for participating in April Fools), so I can respect your decision. I'm torn between not underestimating this disease while also keeping it in perspective and trying to maintain a sense of normalcy.
Heh, I thought this was an early April Fool's when I clicked on the article. Might still be, who knows.
I'm trying to think of a card, The Hole Truth, that has something to do with the donut hole. Perhaps a two card combo - with the other being "An Actual Dough Nut", referring to how the treat was named for its round "core", not the ring around it - that instantly wins the game? Deliciously overpowered.
Even though a lot of us wanted to see a nerf to Cobalt-esque minions, the upside is that Blizzard can change Deflect-o-Bot at will since it's not a minion that exists outside of Battlegrounds. I don't recall every balance change, but I don't think they've changed the card text, Attack, or Health of any minions that aren't exclusive to BGs. They've only adjusted the Tier or removed the minion outright.
Deflect-o-Bot may prove too weak in the early/mid-game to be as powerful as Cobalt, but if it doesn't, then removing its inherent Divine Shield would be a good start.
It was a bit annoying finding "Nadilli" diagonally, but otherwise fun!
HearthStation gang, where you at?? Time flies, the site has had serious growth in just one year and I'm excited to see where it'll go. Great job.

At least Paladin's got its first EU win in the first game of the first match of the day. Shaman, I guess we'll see.

Maybe. My best guess right now is Kor'vas Bloodthorn.
Two more parts in less than 24 hours. monkaS
I believe in you guys!

Well, congrats to those who open a copy of the first version of the card!
"What's that over there? Hah, Mage ya look." Reeeeeeee
Nah, that's normal. It has Echo.

Libram of Justice, daaayum. Nice collection here!
