I skipped the Brawl, but I've been running that Even Totem Shaman list up the ladder since this article posted.
It took me from Bronze to Platinum in just a few days. I don't have a win-rate tracker, but it was a fast climb for sure. And I don't even have Gigantotem as a top end.
I would bet it has nothing to do with the BG battle pass. In corporate timelines, it's way too soon to determine the success or failure of that gambit.
I just finished Timefulness, by M Bjornerud, and it was well worth the hours. Part geology textbook, part meditation on the human relationship with time, and plenty entertaining.
Linkblade, I thought His Dark Materials was pretty great (so much better than any of the TV/film adaptations), though the third one was not the strongest of the set. Curious to hear what you think.
I'm no card designer (I can envision plenty of use for your Mechanization in my decks), but I wish for you a path through the survival times. Life has seasons, and I hope you will soon find your way to a better one.
I suspect that the reason Earth doesn't have lizards with tits is that most lizards (and the lizard-hipped dinosaurs) are so low to the ground that those mammary glands would drag in a very uncomfortable way, lol. Might they fare better in a marine environment?
But you're right, Azeroth biology is not bound to Earth's guidelines.
And the naga aren't exactly "filling an ecological niche" since we know they are the result of N'Zoth's shadow magic. The individuals that used to be elves would probably have lots of vestiges of their warm-blooded, land-dwelling existence.
I think that new generations of naga would probably lose those vestiges as they adapt to their life in the cold deep.
What would that look like? How often does a species with a 10,000 year lifespan even bother to have offspring?
"Location template art" doesn't necessarily equate to a new class. Couldn't that reflect a new board for Battlegrounds or a new set of bounties in Mercenaries instead?
I know we've all heard Dean say that Hearthstone is a "platform" and not just one game, but this patch really makes Battlegrounds feel like a separate game.
Thanks for checking my math, Neb! While achievement hunting today, I found examples of both doubling and incrementing, so there really is no pattern to follow.
Anything or nothing could happen at any time. C'est la vie.
So the original goalpost was 500 wins, then 1000. Is Team 5 incrementing (1500) or doubling (2000) with the next goalpost. Feels like many of the achievements are doubling (do 30/60/90 damage with X card), so I think we might be looking at 2000.
I have 3 classes above 1500 already, Rogue, Mage, and Paladin. Paladin is at 1905 - somehow I didn't notice that I was a Paladin main? Not sure how I feel about that.
A few tips for the C'Thun event, should you happen to be stuck on anything:
For the "beat Ravak with all Mercs alive" task, you don't need to use a party of 6. I used a party of 4 (the Nature gang) to concentrate the treasures on the 3 for the final fight.
For the "beat Xaril with only protectors" task, my MVP was Trigore with a Monstrous Heart treasure. A little healing from Malfurion, and additional nature damage from Athissa, and my party was still at full health when the bosses crumbled.
The diamond legendaries are copies, correct? So whenever I acquire one, I can safely dust its non-diamond match?
Just when I was getting a little bored of Even Shaman, Swizard comes along with a fresh idea. Thanks!
I had that same thought!

I will miss those Q&A recaps!
Hit level 100 today, and selected Uther as my reward skin, since I recently noticed that Paladin is the class where I have the highest number of wins.
Justice!
I'm at 26,305, which I think is about 60% of the possible.
Adding to your list of possible bugs: my Goldshire Gnoll keeps Muck-Pooling into itself. Have you seen this?

I knew you were joking (and I try to only downvote mean-spirited stuff), but HOT LEAF SOUP IS LIFE!!!
I haven't played BG since the last legendary quest asked us to play BG, so my MMR reflected that.
Picked Faelin and elementals, and landed in 1st place. Of course, that only counted as the Play a Game quest. 🤦🏽♀️

Echo's amazing math brain is and will be missed! Best regards to her.

Just some morning musings.
Made me wonder why reptile-people (reptile-elves?) need mammary glands.

I think it's time to split them.
