I think it's a nice reminder that while Hearthstone is entertainment/leisure for the people who play it, it's work/employment for the people who build it and promote it.
There's plenty of time to see the new cards before the patch drops.
The start of this reveal season did feel a bit wonky, though. Maybe they tweaked the schedule at the last minute because of those leaks?
I don't think I've seen anyone play Omu, and yet there it is on the nerf list.
I've been having fun in Twist too, and I'm glad they're already making adjustments. What a shock that Excavating on almost every turn would be too strong!
I have been F2P for more than 5 years, and for those of you considering that route, here is some unsolicited advice.
- You'll need to be comfortable not owning every card.
- You'll need to be comfortable not playing every top tier deck.
- You'll need to be a little patient.
- Nerf refunds are not to be missed.
You will have many cool cards and several great decks, but not all of them and certainly not on day one.
There are some excellent articles out there about Big Tech and the enshittification process (not Hearthstone specific).
If Blizz is raising your blood pressure, please turn off the screen. If Hearthstone is no longer a source of fun or relaxation in your life, please take a break from it.
I like the idea of the weekly quests lasting longer, but yeah, the math doesn't add up. If you've doubled the amount of Battlecries/Murlocs/Excavate cards that I need to play, then the XP should be (roughly) doubled.
I'm sure Blizz has the data on how many players have no quests left by Friday, and this is their "solution" to that problem. Needs some fine-tuning.
I opened Shudderblock and several other nice things in my packs. Stayed up a game or two later than intended in order to hit Level 20, and it was Wheel of Death.
I'm not seeing a border on your avatar picture (I'm reading this on an Android phone), and tbh, the lil character is a bit squished/stretched. Can you fix the aspect ratio?
Anything that doesn't speed the game forward?

I think there's a Demonic hero skin for Priest in the shop right now. So maybe Priest will be collecting a bunch of demons as vacation souvenirs?
On my Hearthstone vacation I went:
- fishing (callback to the Nat Pagle/Pat Nagle cards)
- sailing (gotta toss a few Pirates in this expansion)
- lounging by the beach (callback to some of the crab cards, maybe some sand Elementals)
- on a treasure hunt (that map makes me sure there will be a callback to the League of Explorers)
- snorkeling (the better to admire little Beasts of the sea)
What else?

There's some significant good news in here:
1) The current plan is frequent tweaks to hero health, so that one class doesn't dominate the meta.
2) I don't even have to give up a dozen deckslots to play Twist in June and July.
Count me in.
That reply worked! Are replies different in Forums than Articles?
I can type the reply, and when I tap the blue Leave Comment button.... nothing happens.
"Oh, we'll just leave it up to the corporations to preserve their own games." LMAO, that worked great with the early years of movies, didn't it?

Thanks for the suggestions, Pezman! I just hit Diamond playing achievement decks, and that's probably as far as they will take me.
The Warrior achievement isn't too difficult. Toss the Patrons in an armor-focused deck, and you'll probably even win a few games.

Yikes.
I think the order from last time still stands. Open any Catch-up packs first, then Standard, then Whizbang packs.
Shudderblocked battlecries can't damage the enemy hero. But they can give you extra attack and windfury...with which to damage the enemy hero.
It's an honor just being on the leaderboards. Happy winter, friends!

There will definitely be an achievement that requires this card.
I am confused by the "keeping their original cost" text on the Azerite Murloc. What are they trying to say?
