    I have the same problem for a different reason. I played very little Hearthstone (besides BG's) this year so I don't have a lot of the current standard cards and I have always preferred wild anyway, and because of that I have almost no interest in playing Demon Hunter. But of course after exactly 39 packs with no legendaries I just had to open Il'gynoth in the 40th pack. To me Demon Hunter is just another reason why Hearthstone is becoming more expensive, because it's just there to lower the chances of you getting the cards you actually want.

    Can we talk about how retarded arena is as a gamemode? One moment you think you're winning by a mile and then your opponent topdecks a card that discovers a perfect answer to your board state followed by another topdeck that discovers a card that discovers a card that wins them the game.

    I was also expecting a different card to be the throwback card but it seems Oh My Yogg! is the one. My guess is they handled Yogg's throwback card a bit differently (as in it's not a spell with almost the same effect) because [Hearthstone Card (puzzlebox of yogg-saron) Not Found] already exists.

    Me when seeing even more secret mage support: Thanks! I hate it.

    Sorry but I really hate secret/tempo mage. Easily my most hated deck in existence. I play mostly wild as well so if secret mage becomes (even more) popular in wild I will probably just stick to battlegrounds.

    HAHA I JUST HAD A REALLY FUN AND COOL BUILD IN BATTLEGROUNDS THAT WAS ABOUT TO TAKE OFF AND I WAS AT 29 HP BUT THEN I TOOK 30 DAMAGE BECAUSE OF HORRIBLE COMBAT RNG AND BECAUSE I KILLED MY OPPONENTS BOAT. NICE DAMAGE SYSTEM BLIZZARD.

    I'm definitely excited to try out all these changes, but I'm a bit confused by some of the elemental nerfs. Djinni to 6 is a great change, but couldn't they have changed his stats back as well to compensate? Garr really wasn't strong at all and I actually expected them to put him in tier 5 while tuning down his stats/effect a bit. I also feel like lil rag didn't need the stat nerf at all but whatever.

    Edit with some additional thoughts:

    - I always thought this is how amalgadon should have worked, but I honestly wish they would remove it entirely. Often in the endgame matches it comes down to who has the most divine shield/poisonous amalgadons, which is not fun imo.

    - I love that they unnerfed lightfang. Menagerie has always been one of my favorite builds in battlegrounds.

    - Iron sensei often felt a bit too weak on tier 4 but I think it will be veeery strong on tier 3.

    - A lot of these hero changes are both exciting and scary at the same time. The ones that seem the scariest to me are wagtoggle, rakanishu, george, and ysera.

    I can't say for sure how much of an improvement this will be to current reward system, but since I almost exclusively play Battlegrounds nowadays I love that that contributes to earning xp for the pass as well.

    Can Blizzard just change the fucking damage system in Battlegrounds already? By turn 10 over half the lobby is dead and the actual decision making only really starts around turn 5/6, which means that every game half the players only get to play for about 5 turns. It's been like that for months for god's sake.

    Reduce token damage to 0, increase hero health, reduce minion damage to 1 while reducing hero health to compensate, make the first couple turns against bots so you get to safely build up your starting comp, whatever JUST DO SOMETHING BLIZZARD OR AT LEAST GIVE US AN UPDATE ON WHAT YOU'RE DOING.

     

    Edit: Ah great I just went 7th in a game with one of the strongest builds I've ever had at that point in the game just because I kept losing matches where I had <20% chance to lose. Fuck this shit.

    Now it will always give at least a +1/+1 buff even if you haven't played any elementals in a turn.

    Honestly it's been like that ever since pirates were introduced. Blizzard has mentioned that they're looking into possible changes to how damage works, and I really hope they do find a way to prevent those "lose over half your health just because you got bad matchup/combat rng" moments. One of the changes they mentioned was changing all minion damage to 1, which I think could be a great change if they also lower max hero health so that lategame builds won't become too op (demons would probably also need a rework in this case but I think some sort of rework to demons would be a good idea regardless).

    In regards to the new patch, I bought the tavern pass with gold since I'm hardly playing regular Hearthstone anymore anyway and I've been having a great time. The only thing that sucks is that while I have played a lot I've only been offered a new hero twice, Rakanishu and Al'Akir, and Rakanishu just seems real bad and my Al'Akir game was very meh. I was actually most excited to try Ragnaros and Chenvaala so I hope I get to try at least Ragnaros before he gets nerfed. :)

    The addition of Whirlwind Tempest seems weird to me. Sure you can probably do something cool with it when playing Al'Akir but besides that its usability seems very limited since the small amount of windfury minions present in BGs will often probably be dead after attacking twice anyway.
