Genuine question for those who have played the Garrosh solo adventure and done the Jaina fight. For Thereamore, the fight is basically the same as in Jaina's chapter in the first book of heros story. Main diffrence is that you switch sides using Garrosh's hero power to destroy the gates. The voice lines are very much the same, although with a few small additions. Overall, do you consider this to be clever as we see the same scenario from the other side, or a cheap reuse of assets? Perhaps both somehow? I'm undecided myself, so I'm curious to see what people think.
Also, additional question, How many of you think the warrior pack is worth buying now that we have more skins in the game overall?
I fall into a little bit of all three categories of Hearthstone player you mentioned, although I'm mainly halved between the collector and laid-back attitude. I just like to rank up on the ladder for the rewards. Being "the best" in any mode means pretty much nothing to me. Also, were you thinking me with the "WoW fan" category of custom card creation, because you nailed me exactly, lol.
The simple answer is that we don't know anything for sure. All we have are hints and vague comments that COULD point to the old gods. Remember that Hearthstone is NOT WoW cannon, but fun tales of "what could be" told around the tavern as rumors and tall tales. If the old gods ARE connected to the faire, though, you can bet that Silas is in on it since it's his faire and he made the mysterious deal to get Darkmoon Isle.
Yep, it's so big that it had to start as a two-parter before we switched them over to the guide format. Old Gods have their tentacles in a bit of everything storywise.
I wouldn't worry too much yet, since we know we're going to have an additional mini-set continuing the theme. I'm assuming that at least some of those characters will make it into the cards. If they do, I'll make sure to edit them into this guide. If they don't, great inspiration for the custom card competitions. :)
This may be a huge shock to most people, but I would love for a dwarf-centered card set to happen in the next year. I know this is contrary to what many people would likely assume of me, but it's true nonetheless. ;)
Umm, yeah, I have enough problems dealing with buffed silver hand recruits combined with Steward of Darkshire, and that requires the minion to be on the board to give the effect. This card just gives divine shield automatically after it's played. I still say it's pretty strong in the right wild combo.
And that's what I like about it. It makes it easier for things to remain thematic when spells or weapons can be used for just one class where it makes sense instead of them having to be "special". It's this very fact that I'm excited about.
A legendary spell AND a legendary weapon in this set? I'm like this a lot. This is the pellet gun you fire in the shooting range minigame, abut an old god-twisted version. Makes a lot of sense for the theme.
Ah, another legendary spell mixed in with the minions. I love that we're at this point where one or two classes can get something cool like this without it having to be applied to ALL classes every time.
Thanks for sharing this lore, Frosty. For the first time, I actually have some interest in this game and its lore. Good job compiling together the different sources to provide us with both the basic story, as well as additional side-stories that we can find without bogging down the main narrative.

I only ever fork up real money if there's some exclusive cosmetics.

This will be good mainly with the Deck of Chaos, I think. I doubt I'll play it any other way, but that combo at least should be fun.

Thank you. :) I'm going to be doing some updates on the old gods article next, so keep an eye out for that in the next couple weeks or sooner.
Done. I didn't put it in at first since it's the old god corruption version, but you make a good point.
I have written up a guide about the old gods already, but I'll be adding onto it very soon with the new cards we have in the Darkmoon Faire set.

I'm scared by how strong this could be in wild decks. Also, goodbye Loghraxion fancards. You were fun while you lasted.

Why is this not a demon? She's clearly the same race as two demons from Ashes of Outland.
One of these days, Hearthstone is going to make card that actually had Fluffy in the title just to throw us off, lol.
Tonks are not typos, but legitimate small remote-controlled tanks that are part of one of the minigames in the Darkmoon Fair in World of Warcraft.
