Amazing job Echo :) I like this story for its creative twist on the genre -- who would have guessed that a vampire was a good guy and created an angle?-- and for the fun of just having an entire world fit this theme. I'm happy to finally start understanding some of the lore of MTG, or at least one of the worlds in its multiverse. One thing I'm not sure of is who these titans and gatewatch people are. Have you written about them yet and I haven't found it, or is this something to be sill covered?
NOOOOO!!! Not Dave! How are we going to get entertaining announcement videos now? They've cycled through so many of their other workers, and none of them are entertaining. They don't know how to pull off the light-hearted goofiness or enthusiasm that Ben and Dave had. They always look like people trying to act after having a script stuck in their face for the first time. Not saying it's their fault, since they were hired for game design and not acting, but I think they could at least hold a couple improve classes to prep people. Honestly, I feel that even I could do a better job than a lot of them in that department.... hmmmm, I wonder if they are hiring for a new spokesman....... ;)
Could use some feedback on this card. I'm trying to merge two concepts from Frozen Throne: mage dragon synergy, inspired by Sindragosa, and " If it's your opponent's turn" deathrattles like Vryghoul and Arrogant Crusader.
Undead CAN use the Light if they need to. It's just that it's often painful for them because, whatever their intentions, it causes pain to their undead bodies. It does heal them, but it's a painful heal. Also, it can restore their deadened senses. You would think that would be a good thing, allowing them to feel and smell again, but the problem is that they can suddenly smell their own rot and feel the maggots inside their bodies. Not a pleasant experience. That's why even the occasional nice undead tends to not be a fan of the light in much the same way as a bat or other nocturnal creatures might avoid the sun.
Here's my first idea. Really trying to not give in to the temptation to make ANOTHER lore-significant legendary here, so I went with a class mount. Ideas? Feedback? This is just the first thing I could think of.
Any suggestions on a replacement effect then? I was thinking the other choice could be "your opponent has one less mana crystal while this is on the board", but decided to try and lean into the beast stuff instead.
I think the unique lines are only meant to be in relation to "rarer" heroes from shops and events. Otherwise, they would happen too frequently and become grating to some people. But, yeah, I see your point.
Lol, good point. To be fair, she has calmed down a bit again in the BFA story. She went from being super naive about the possibility of peace, to being a hate-filled, vengeance-fulled warmonger, to not finally getting some sense of nuance in between the two. Wanting peace, but not afraid to fight.
This is a great idea to give the original class heroes a more expanded backstory like what Illidan got in the Ashes of Outland Prologue. Given that the game has long been at the point where it attracts a different audience-- and has more greatly distanced itself as unique from Warcraft-- this is a good way to easily explain who the characters are to people who didn't already know it from WoW lore.
Haha, fair enough. Don't need to give them too much more amo. I was just thinking of it because Moonkin and Moonfire are tied closely together in the game and lore, but I see your point.

Why is Zephrys the Great in a deck filled with duplicates?

The Character of the Headless Horseman is a fallen undead paladin, so it would still fit the class.
I'm not sure why they had to make it "Horseman Uther" and not just have him as the Headless Horseman. That would have been a lot cooler.
Well, I know that I'm not buying any packs for the next couple weeks now, lol. This is one card back I really need.
So, Shadows got nerfed then?

Thanks Hydra :) I'm glad you liked it. Can't wait to talk more lore on the show next week.
Oh yes, this was a very brief summery of a story that has started almost as far back as the original Warcraft games, so a lot has happened. lol

Attempting to bridge some mana and beast play between druid and mage. Feedback?

Feedback? Not used to making common cards and not sure what their power level should be.
