Hah, I got worse than you all. I got the golden Hack the System! (No kidding, I wouldn't post it if I don't have that golden version of it right now.)

Apparently it's my favorite card lol, but I'm unfortunate to have a golden version of it, I always disenchant golden ones, sad face.

you should be glad to have it in golden. now you can DE it for full price and get any legendary you want. if you had it normal than you would be in trouble.

So you tried it too, huh? I did too, didn't like the results. Kinda felt sad about it.

The quest wasn't helping it a lot and one huge problem was lack of survival at late game. All I had was to rely on topdeck Armored Goon, and it didn't feel great.

Will disenchant it in no time to prioritize other cards.

  • Thanks for helping me out. I'll try to go for alternative big decks for this colossus instead.

This game was recorded back in the first week of the Rise of Shadows. So pogo hopper wasn't a thing before, it's just me trying new homebrew deck with Tak Nozwhisker. But as a result of the game, I lost it.

It's a pretty short game, just watch it. I haven't seen any crazier Rafaam from hearthstone videos than this one, or maybe I have missed one. anyway, I think it's possibly the most insane Rafaam's luck out there.

EDIT: Yes, I added this in good vibes, because it's a huge surprise to me. If an opponent does something insane, I consider it a good moment.

I know mage excels in AOE, but sometimes you need a real board clear. Now the question is, why does mage has no board clear while other classes do. I can create some 2/3 card combo which should clear the board, say a 6 damage to all minions. But his does not clear a board of mountain giants for instance, or one 24/24 mech.

Mage with board clear was a thing on the release of game, every mage was enjoying using flamestrike, blizzard and such. Then there are classes that didn't have powerful aoe back in the days, like defile, or mass hysteria. Right now, her board clear sucks, but she has decent other options to have.

She is very good at bursting opponent's health, not to mention she can stale the game with freezing minions.

If we wanna talk about current mage now, she has very good spell generators, and no other classes have that, so it definitely helps mage alot.

  • The replacements are all good, but the card draw is a good question.

I can't seem to solve it, so I'll just take a look at the guides of big shaman deck.

  • I'm kinda glad that mage doesn't have access to big aoe damage or cheap powerful board clear (Dragon's Fury is there, but it's fine). She can be excel in some specialty like transformation effect Polymorph, but that card isn't in every deck anymore. I hope mage will get more good sort of spells in the future that isn't a board clear itself.

Maybe you look forward to a deck like that.

My first take on control muck shaman.

I didn't realize that Blatant Decoy can have insane synergy with Muckmorpher, I got mind blown.

Will definitely give it a try, all the rest of deck structure looks fine except Blazing Invocation, and maybe 1x Earthquake is enough, but will test with two of them.

  • I really like Hunter's Pack a lot, such a great card. Good choice adding it in top 10.

Why does every Shaman have lucky Evolves against me today?

Game 1: Evolve into Bolf Rammshield -> no lethal anymore.

Game 2: Evolve into 2 rush minions -> no lethal anymore.

Game 3: Evolve into a mech, slap Zilliax on it -> no lethal anymore.

    Lol, that's insane luck.

  • So what about this Resurrection interaction?

Let's say I started playing a reborn minion. Then I wanted to resummon it.

If I have one reborn minion that died twice in my graveyard (alone), will there be a chance to resummon a minion without reborn? Or does it completely ignore the token version of a reborn minion?

EDIT: Just wanted to confirm DoubleSummon's words.

  • Not bad at all, I'm really new to plot twist warlock, so I can't feel if it's going to be great or not. But when will I give plot twist a try already?!?

I'll try it now this time. This just looks promising with more healing options and reborn synergy with Betrug and Dorian, like Khartut Defender. Very promising.

  • Does anyone know how to make spoiler insert work?

I have no knowledge of BBcode or what this can be. My current problem is that I have posted a short and sweet comment about certain topic people were talking about, then I wanted to put my short gameplay explanation into a spoiler box, so it won't end up being a wall of text. Not a big deal, just wanted to make it tidy.

Additionally, fan-made cards itself might demand it too, even if we have good tables of word/images to make it good or sort of like that.

If it's possible, I hope it's easy enough to make and use it into comment system.

  • Lol, I remember that card when trying out in shaman deck with Rumbling Elemental. Too bad this baron worked once in the first try.

Still have the card in my collection, decks with bouncing effect and double battlecrys are going to transform the forgotten card into an easy Mountain Giant.

    Good revival deck!

EDIT: Wish there is a way to make deck into my favorite/play-later decklists.

Well with big shaman you can eureka him out or get him with muck murpher

4/4 divine shield that when it dies becomes a 10/1 divine shield? and then if you put ancestral spirit or ancestral healling on him (Which are cards that are sometimes run in big shaman) you got yourself a very strong minion, or even a taunt for cheap currently the deck runs big bad archmage for winning the board, now this minion is harder to remove.

Also shaman got new control tools in Plague of Murlocs and Earthquake.

the other deck that might like it is duel paladin but it's more memey than big shaman.

    Okay, this guy knows it.

Control Shaman might outshine all the big decks out there when you want a reliable deck to beat sorts of decks out there, it was really good since the few weeks of last expansion.

Haven't played ranked in last month, but as a long-time shaman, I guaranteed that [Hearthstone Card (Plague of Murloc) Not Found] will be the main reason to play big shaman right now with the rest of his decent early board clear spells. In wild, I don't think control shaman was a thing. While this shaman has an alternative tool for sweeping those priests and outnumber his minions with yours. Or even possibly warlock, here's a story of in-game that my theorycraft shaman might outvalue warlock, could have beaten it:

I've planned a full anti-warlock deck, it's that in certain days where warlocks was playing with big demons, it was everywhere in casual to me, so I took anti-warlock theorycrafted deck with me to try it out...

One game, I have faced warlock, and we had so much a fight for gaining the tempo, he gets the board control, and I have got it back, vice versa. For what the match looked like, there were few elementals and demons, Thunderhead and Despicable Dreadlord was both the king of the mid-game. After both of us trying contesting for board control, Warlock used his DK hero card to resummon decent demons like Despicable Dreadlord and Voidlord.

I have completed removing them, afterward, I have used my theorycraft idea to outvalue Warlock for the long term: Sideshow Spelleater, so he won't keep sucking my life. When time passed by, we reached the fatigue stage. So one of his few cards remaining were N'zoth. When he played it, I had very few minions on the board and have no answers to his last plan, then he proceeds to use the other cards he has remained to BM'ing me with Hellfire and a long time unused Carnivorous Cube...

At that point, this Plague of Murloc could have me won me that game with 100% since I have the advantage of Health over my opponent. So It was so close..
Since big shaman is going to have one of the best AoE removal in the game, it might not have a great synergy with Colossal of the Moon, but he's going to have a good confidence enough to step out onto the board after tons of board clear from shaman.

  • Hope your plan will work out! Good luck!

  • I have made a thread about it, not that I'm advertising, but since you're asking for an ideas, people and I have discussed very few things of how viable of this card is, the discussion of it isn't over yet, so take a while to look at my thread and see any of the information you find that can help you.

    https://outof.cards/forums/hearthstone/deck-building/1231-looking-for-a-big-decks-across-the-classes-with-colossus-of-the-moon

Also hello there! I'm a fan of Colossus of the Moon too!

  • Speaking of new mechanics we're talking about, I'm planning to go make 100 total new cards with every 10 different sets in different theme. I have previously made another 100 cards this year, although my few cards seem rushed and others of it were uninspired, so I'm going for a 200th cards with a new mechanic this time, mostly keywords.

For less than 2 weeks, I have reached around 70 cards, so just a few more left and I'll show new keywords that I haven't done before. Some may be a generic and common mechanic/keywords that are very similarly used throughout Hearthpwn. But, there is one awesome keyword I have made it up to date. Excited to share many people. Yet I gotta complete the rest before showcasing the new 100 cards.

But at the moment, I think I'm kinda bragging here right now without showing anything, so I'll just go this way:

First, do actions, then words later.

I should finish it this month, just 30 cards left...

So you like minions that are versatile? Similar to Zilliax? I try to avoid Legendaries that are just re-hashes of already existing minions like Sea Reaver and Flame Leviathan because it's good practice to introduce fun ideas that haven't been tried before i.e. Hex Lord Malacrass.

Part of me wishes that it would become slightly more complicated, not to the crazy level of MTG but it would be nice to see some new minion tribes and more cards to support those individual decks, like Beast Druid was a thing for while and it just kind of fell to the wayside. I feel that somehing like that would enhance the deckbuilding experience as well because as of late the only minions getting synergies are the Murlocs.

Yeah, sorta, I like the minions with cool effect. Hex Lord Malacrass right there is a good example of a fun and new card. Just not felt impressed by the stat points, really cool battlecry. But If they are going to buff him when Raskhatan expansion is in the next to-do list on Blizzard, that would be greaaaat.

You are right about the tribe support and some decks, one thing come to my mind was the Magnetize keyword, that one has forced me to buy the expansion when I saw it, but the disadvantage of buying the expansion was the bad epic cards. Anyway, I don't think new amazing mechanic are going to happen again like Boomsday Project.

And about making new deck viable, I was thinking about cards that synergies well together so it will have a good result, like Deathrattle/Big Hunter deck (Egg activator, cheating out minions, and cube-ing, ew). It came out of nowhere and I honestly hate that deck a lot, but I was surprised that deck worked out really good.

With many synergies, new archetype could make it happen anytime.

  • I love the new warrior quest, would like to try it out.

I think Sul'thraze would be nice to try with just one Armored Goon... In case you will be able to overkill many good minions. He doesn't requires a setup either when you will be equipped with weapon most of the time.

The card itself is not really bad, I think it can act as a tech card against sort of bursty class if needed (Shaman quest, perhaps), so I just would assume in trying a minion with continuous healing effect, and its likely to survive or succeed in trading with most healthy minions at turn 6.

In other words, a good backup card if in need of defensive form or healing.
