I was really hoping the new system would make me feel a lot more interested in the game, but I just don’t even feel like booting up the game at this point. Says a lot given how much of a sucker I am for eldritch themes in games, this expansion should’ve made me love the game even more

If you feel like you’re not having fun with it (due to not feeling like there’s enough of a reward or it gets too repetitive) either change how you’re playing, take a break, or go play something else. I’ve been there, and just trying to tough it out really doesn’t work out too well

It’s probably because those two are the things added right when the new system was put in, so everything new going forward will probably have something

The wild ranked achievements refuse to actually register as being completed when I click on them too, which is just lovely

If they had that and added in the 10 gold per 3 wins back, it’d probably be something everyone could be happy with, since it’d probably come out to a bit more than before at that point

The thing is, if there were more spells that summoned totems, it wouldn’t have much synergy with this, since you’d need to play this afterwards

How is it being a specific weapon instead of a dynamic one spaghetti code

I could see it just generally being used in the class, after all, aren’t their cards usually lower attack than cost?

Vanilla is double the mana plus 1, so for 4 mana it’d be 9. It’s not like this is something that hasn’t been seen before, Chillwind Yeti’s from the classic set after all

That also happens to be 2 mana cheaper, which makes a really big difference, as well as drawing much more relevant tribes for the class.

Yeah, pretty much everyone forgot about that card

If you’re asking if a spell that draws a card can trigger Corrupt on the card it drew, I’d assume the answer is no, given that the card draw effect should come after playing the card, with corruption checks probably being directly in between them

No I mean the new N'zoth that summons 1 minion of each type, not the N'zoth that summons Death rattle minions.

and when I mentioned Druid I just meant plain ole "I'm ramping every turn" druid who'll drop a 10 mana minion on like turn 5 or 6 or whatever

Hadranox is a beast too is the thing

Prince Malchezaar was the first, since he shuffled in 5 cards (even though they were randomized).

Yeah I don’t really comment all too much on this site, even though I check it most days. Mainly here for the news tbh, even back on Hearthpwn I never really bothered too much with the forums.

I know I should probably join in on the card creation competitions, but a lot of my free time ends up getting taken up by other stuff so I never get around to it (excuses, I know)

Again, I don’t think a bug like this showing up multiple times (or even once) in the finished product is an acceptable thing in the slightest, it just annoys me when people seem to get this idea that a game without bugs is such an easy thing to accomplish and that it’s horrible if any end up in the finished product. That’s not a realistic vision in the slightest.

And a game like this doesn’t get as much leeway with gameplay bugs as a single player game might. Where in a single player game a weird bug happening might actually add to the experience in a way (the speed running community is a good example of this) in a multiplayer game it’ll often just dampen the experience for one or both players.

Looking at the state of bigger gaming companies as a whole these days, it really wouldn’t surprise me if these bugs were a result of poor working conditions and crunches. Lots of bad things happen in those kinds of companies, so it’d make sense this would be the end result.

Someone saying that a finished game shouldn’t contain any bugs isn’t feasible though, given how many things can go wrong even when trying to fix one bug

If they spent the time needed to ensure there wasn’t a single bug in the game, then we’d be lucky to receive another patch within the next few years

I’d be amazed if you could find me a game that didn’t have any bugs in it that wasn’t as simple of a game as possible.

I’m not trying to say that it’s fine how it is, the fact that bugs pop up that negatively impact the player’s experience is a bad thing, but it’s almost an inevitability that it’s going to include some bugs. Pretending otherwise is just ignorant

That’s kind of part of how making a game works

By any chance does this happen with the effect from Sphere of Sapience as well? I remember an opponent a day or two ago didn’t do anything the first turn after they played it, but after that one turn they seemed fine.

Personally I don’t remember having a problem with it though, Zephrys hasn’t locked me out that I can remember (though that’s really the only discover card I’ve played much of recently, so he might technically be coded differently)
