  • I’m pretty sure they said a week or two ago that they didn’t want to do another year long story like this year for a little while

  • It wouldn’t be too surprising for them to give us a golden chromatic egg. Awhile back (I think it might’ve been for the Halloween event a few years back?) they gave everyone a golden Witch’s Cauldron, and that’s another epic. They’ve done the same for one or two other epics as well

  • From what I remember, it’s basically the equivalent of Easter, they usually give a few golden egg cards for it

  • You were just waiting for the moment it started to post this, weren’t you?

  • Finally getting some good quality of life improvements here. Can take so long for this stuff to get into the game.

  • Has it just been people on the hearthstone team moving to another, or has this been happening recently with their other games too?

  • I remember crafting Mukla ages ago for Midrange Hunter. To be fair though, he actually wasn’t that bad. He helped with getting in a nice chunk of damage early on, and the bananas usually didn’t end up screwing me over

Playing this would make Witching Hour not target Hadronox every time. I dont think that would be so good.

People are talking about standard, witching hour is well.. from the witchwood

Given that I was talking about Hadranox, I’d think it was obvious I was talking about Wild.

Besides though, I play the Undatakah version so it doesn’t really make much of a difference if I have beasts in the deck

Most probably, they are internally still balancing, to avoid such an nerf fiesta like the last time. :D

Anyway, I'm not complaining. I like the surprise element this time. Last time they have done something similar was the league of explorers expansion, if I remembered right.

With League didn’t they just announce and reveal everything pretty much a week before it released or something?

Honestly, I’m surprised they’re doing it like this. Usually they try to really hype things up for the preorders, so I’d assume that not telling people half the cards would cut into profits with people not wanting to buy something when they have no clue half the cards in it.

My tinfoil hat theory is that they’re trying to hide something, be it something really badly balanced that they’re last minute changing, or a bunch of cards that would make current balance problems just that little bit worse, which they don’t want people to be talking about until preorders are done and over with. Maybe even something to make Gala Shaman as strong as it was before the nerfs

  • Makes sense, given that playing so often (and only one class too) will leave you burnt out eventually.

Hopefully Blizz takes this as a sign that they need to change things up. Priest has been stuck in the same situation for so long now, it’s a sign of an inherent problem with their design policy

*Once the update is live, adjusted cards will be eligible for a full Arcane Dust refund for two weeks.

It's been only 10 days since the patch and I already can't dust Ancharrr for a full cost refund. Anyone knows how come/why so?

I've heard some devices/platforms aren't seeing the correct info but it seems to work on PC.

It is amazing how Hearthstone QA seems to have gone out the window in the past 6 months. I love the speed that they're bringing stuff out, but really basic stuff is being missed

From what I hear it sounds like the majority of problems are on iPhones and iPads right? Could be that they’ve cycled out some of the people doing QA for that (or that the people for apple devices are just kind of incompetent).

I dunno, it makes sense in my head to split up QA testers by device, that way they’ll learn the specifics of theirs a bit faster

Doesn’t really look that great to me, not that great if you draw it after you’ve reached 10 mana, meaning you’ve got 5 turns where it could actually help out your curve

it still works at 10 mna, you just don't attack first.. it anables 11 mana turns without coins

Yeah, but once you get to that point it’s strength is a lot lower. The main appeal to it would be playing something a turn earlier than you normal could, which is somewhat strong. After 10, it’s more akin to reducing one card’s mana by 1, which a lot of the time isn’t needed (there’s a lot of times you’ll be floating some mana because you just didn’t need to play anything else)

  • For me my favorite moment probably came from playing my double quest Priest deck. It doesn’t win many games, but when I can manage to pull it off, it all comes together so well.

For what I’m looking forward to the most is probably the new cards in general. Getting to play with something new and flashy is always fun, and the reason why I play this game to begin with.

  • Random legendaries don’t seem too good, given how there’s a lot of lowroll battlecry minions. I guess the stats alone might make up for it, since as long as the next spell you cast gives you 4 mana worth of stats it’s paid for itself

  • Doesn’t really look that great to me, not that great if you draw it after you’ve reached 10 mana, meaning you’ve got 5 turns where it could actually help out your curve

  • It looks kind of weird, but still should be strong. Odd to see a more control pirate though, usually don’t expect something like that. Could work nicely with Ancharr, though I’m not sure if the nerf killed off that card or not

  • Rain of Toads never really felt too bad to use, so this could be decent. The problem though is, is decent good enough? The answer’s probably no sadly

  • Awkward to deal with with that much health, and it’s can help with clearing stuff out if you wait for the hero power. Dunno if that’s gonna be enough to see play though

  • The card draw looks relatively nice, and while you probably won’t choose the minion too often, it’s decent on curve

  • Damn, looks like I should’ve kept my Tekahn. Helps you get a lot more value out of even a single lackey, so I’d expect it to see a bit of play at least
