From what I remember it was a side comment they had made during a Q&A or something similar a few weeks ago.
I’d assume they might go back to it after a year or two, maybe three at the most, given how much people enjoyed it (was probably pretty good for sales).
Either way though, I’m still holding out for a Legion/Titan/Old God expansion set. Could be pretty cool to see a 3 way conflict in one of these stories again, especially since it’d give them another chance to do tri-class cards.
I’m thinking Warrior and Priest for Gods, Warlock for Legion, and Paladin and Druid for Titans. Not entirely sure on the other classes though.
Freeze Shaman didn’t have a chance of working because last minute they changed one of the best cards for the archetype (they pretty heavily implied the Shaman Death Knight was gonna have a targeted freeze for its hero power)
Eh, you still find Control decks here and there from 10-5 in wild, I met a good few of them when I was climbing earlier this month. A lot of the meta is aggro and combo, but it’s not that unusual really to meet some off meta deck high up in the ranks.
If anything though, when I was climbing there were less secret mages than last month, made mulligans a bit awkward since it’s a bit more of a toss up on whether it’s secret mage or quest mage (whether combo or control)
Part of it I’d imagine is because the first set of the year is their chance to try to make a new archetype that can be expanded on later (since it’ll have the most time in standard, and they don’t print that many synergy cards for decks that have rotated out).
The other part I think is that Wild’s probably gonna get some new people in it with the rotation, a bunch of people that want to play decks that have rotated out and all, so the meta might shift because of that
Well now I know what card I want to make if there’s ever a relevant card competition.
I mean I get why they never did it, in each of the expansions Mage was technically the “good guy” class, so having a villain in that wouldn’t have made too much sense
Reading through this makes me sad that we never got a Rakanishu card/portrait. Definitely my favorite character (aside from Rafaam of course) from these expansions
I feel like if they end up doing another year long narrative, they’ll probably try to keep them somewhat separated from each other.
After all, so many characters here died, so if they ever wanted to use those characters again, it’d be kind of weird if everything was connected and all
Hakkar was one of the more fun cards I’ve used. I played him in a Priest deck with Benedictus and my golden Hemet to outlast every control deck.
It’s kind of funny, I don’t think I ever actually ran into any decks that could get rid of the corrupted bloods, pretty much all of the cards that can just don’t see much play
Well, since the objectively cutest card (Rafaam) didn’t make it in, I suppose I’ll vote for my second choice.
Big Ol’ Whelp for the win!
Is Naxx out in all regions or just NA?
Usually when they have a chain of quests like this, they’ll have there be a few extra days that you can get them in case some people miss a day or two
Didn’t like, dr boom survive too? Could’ve sworn at least one of them survived
They said earlier they wouldn’t be doing another storyline for awhile
You sure it’s not just people already having bought some of those packs in the past so it doesn’t work
It’s mainly for newer players I’d think, since it they’re guaranteed a legendary in the first 10.
Still kinda sucks though, since most of the older expansions don’t really see much play anymore

They specifically said a little while ago that they were gonna wait awhile before doing another set of connected expansions.
I’m missing one of the cards for that last deck list, are there any good substitutions I could make?
People get mad when they try to balance wild, and then other people get mad when they don’t try.

Wish we would see nerfs that fast from them more often.
I believe it’s in total, but I might be wrong.
At the very least watching three continuous hours twice should work
