Wow, Gotta Catch 'Em All has got to be the worst achievement of this expansion. What possessed them to set such a high treshold of 151 for this one, jeez.
EDIT: Apparently, this number is a reference to the first 151 OG Pokemons. Pretty off base to not stick with their own IP and make this unnecessary difficult.
EDIT2: After many hours of playing Beast Hunter my progress only went up to 35. So, still 116 Pet Collector summons to go. This achievement is just plain retarded.
I think the mini-set usually goes away right before when the next expansion comes out, which means that we should expect that the next Standard rotation will happen soon™ after April 4th.
not to be an ass, but why don't you just translate 5€ of whatever your energy company comp is asking into any Merc you want at this point? haha
Of course I could do that, but I do not really care for those Mercenaries at all. I will collect and fully max them out eventually along the way, but all I want is that sweet XP which directly translates into extra gold to buy in game stuff with.
It might still be more efficient to spend real money to purchase that said stuff, but I have not made the proper calculation to make the comparison.
To reach the end of the Rewards Track once again (I did it for the first RT) also feels like yet another achievement to me by the way.
Yes, my thought process is kind of peculiar, I know. Strange people (like myself) do strange things, I guess 😅
The Magic Arena clues are definitely the most challenging since it's card database is also the largest compared to the other card games. However, if I remember correctly 1 of the moderators did mention in the past that the answers will trigger for all non unique cards you might encounter browsing the card database.
Anyways, all the clues are closely related to this event's theme and were quite solvable. There was only 1 that gave me the hardest time ever to find the answer because I kept wandering down the wrong rabbit hole.
Just keep going and try to finish the whole thing if you want. I really hope that one of my previous comments about me giving hints sparsely did not have the opposite effect.
I also wonder why there is so little hint discussion going on. Myself including, there is only a handful of active people in this thread. Unless the usual gang of previous events stopped visiting OoC I cannot imagine why it is so silent this time around.
Well, I do not even really care about that I managed to complete the entire event. I mean, it looks nice to be in the top spot of the leaderboard, but for most of the non-Hearthstone clues I just clicked on a lot of links on this wonderful site not even bothering to read some of the clues beforehand. Having said that, I do read them afterwards to understand the correlation. In a way, it is like reaching Legend, I just spent way too much time doing the climb and anyone can do it eventually.
Asking for hints is fine, I did the same. I am just saying that I personally will not immediately respond and give away all the answers too quickly because the moderators have spent their time to create this quality content for us to enjoy.
Off topic, English is also not my native language so that probably makes me a foreigner as well 😂
The only thing that matters here is our common ground: To discuss about our favorite pastime and hobby called 'Hearthstone' in a friendly manner.
(... which we have been doing for several years already, time flies when you are having fun.)
The current economy is horrible in this game mode. I am treating it F2P and save up every pack from tasks and wait for new mercenaries to get introduced before opening them. Until they do something about the enormous duplicate coins issue and without some pack opening protection, there is no way buying packs seems a viable strategy. Especially not with real money.
This one is actually pretty straightforward. Just think of a food item on their menu which fits this event's theme.
Only open the second hint if this one is not sufficient 😇
Hint #2
It is also the name of a GM (not sure if he still is though) and this practically gives the answer away.
By the way, I will try to ration out my hints a bit from here on, because I do not want the moderators to think that I am singlehandedly spoiling their entire event which is not my intention at all.
Part of the clue is a recurring voiceline and flavor text. Both are in some way related without giving you exactly how. After that, search for a spell that has that same relation which displays a book and fits the theme of this event.
Whenever you have trouble completing a specific task or bounty, just look up Old Guardian'sYouTube channel for some helpful guides. They have always worked for me so far.
Replacing Toki is fine, but at least put an alternative immediately in place instead of leaving us with nothing. I do not need more duplicate coins, but how this is handled now almost feels like a robbery.

I see, that means there is no clear pattern visible and thus we cannot make reliable predictions about future release dates.

I am not certain about me being solid, but for sure I am heavy/massive and sometimes very gaseous 😂

I know it is crazy, but I have actually played less now than during the previous Rewards Track, although still more than is considered healthy.
Plenty of my XP comes from farming Mercenaries (no bots involved). I am just converting time, electricity and a few occasional clicks into XP 😂
Currently at level 377, almost at the very end, lol.
Let the games begin proceed! 🥶

Good luck, you can do it! 👍🏻

I see, then if they can just solve this 'gap' issue it would be fine, at least for me.
