I am at level 253. Currently trying to complete the Gesundheit XP achievement. Afterwards, I will go back to the waiting room for the You are not worthy XP achievement to get fixed and the next mini-set to arrive.
What are your thoughts and experiences of the latest patch? And what is your current progress on the rewards track?
Do we have to include the specific mercenary in the party to beat the heroic boss for unlocking their equipment? I certainly hope not, because this makes it even more difficult.
I beat heroic Ravak and the related equipment did not unlock for my Sinestra, which might be a bug? Can anyone confirm?
EDIT: Hm, I just read that it is part of the requirement to have the specific mercenary included in the party to unlock the related equipment. This sucks!
Same here, I have liked playing Shudderwock Shaman since the inception of this archetype. It is an eternal deck and hopefully remains viable forever with some ups and downs from time to time.
The Firemancer Flurgl + Toxfin board clear package heralded the big return of this deck. The latest expansion added the freeze package and now is the time to shine again.
Enjoy while it lasts until the next broken thing replaces it undoubtedly.
I got a few months ago using the emulator trick. I must admit that it took way too long to get the cardback. It looks pretty, but is not really worth the hassle.
Freeze Shudderwock Shaman is working out well for me too. I only lost a single game against Shadow Priest so far. All other board centric decks just get frozen over and over again, lol.
Sounds to me like Team 5 finally discovered the Warrior/Diablo erroneous win count I reported here on OoC a couple of weeks ago and fixed it. Do you remember, Aesan?
Well, another patch means another chance to get disappointed apparently. Known issue of the latest patch states:
The Immovable Object remains… unmoved. Unfortunately, we were not able to fix the bug with the “You Are Not Worthy” achievement in Patch 22.2. The fix is being worked on and planned for a future update.
I mean seriously WTF? They might as well skip the fix already. Just add the related XP amount to all our accounts. Be done with it once and for all 😤
My earlier comment mentioning monkeys is probably a bit harsh, but it was out of frustration since bugs have been piling on the past few months which in my honest opinion did not get fixed soon enough.
By the way, I also have 2 decades of IT developer experience so if that matters at all we should hold equal weight of opinions on this situation. I know we all make mistakes, we are only human after all. However, some of the recent bugs are really easy to spot like those XP achievements issues not counting correctly. Another one was the collection filter not resetting properly on mobile devices. Those bugs should really not have seen the light of day by us.
As for the "big" dust drama, you know you can run those reimburse scripts on a backup database and try to find irregularities before the actual release, right? Just be sure to spend a proper amount of time on testing before giving the script the green light. There is no need to rush things. If you do rush though and screw up, do not be surprised to receive some flack for it in return.
For me, the bigger the IT company, the more resources they (should) have and I expect better or at least a very high standard of quality from their software. That quality is going downhill as we can see by the growing bugs list at the bottom of their patch release notes.
Do not get me wrong, I still love Hearthstone and I have always liked playing Blizzard games like Diablo and Starcraft in the past. It is exactly because I am so invested in their games, that these kind of silly bugs annoy me to this degree. I probably care too much about Hearthstone, more than I should anyways, which is unhealthy.
I reached level 222. The next big patch with all those bugfixes is almost upon us, I have really high expectations for it.
@Alleria, no problem. When I posted my earlier message over there, I wondered if it would be too off-topic. I use the same dust strategy as you do by the way.
I am really baffled about the fact that a big software company like Activision Blizzard is able to let such an embarrassing issue slip through their testing. Does their entire QA team consist of monkeys?
For now, I have not personally encountered this dust issue yet (knock on wood). I guess I have to be glad that they did not start this reimburse mess over here in the EU region or even worse all regions at once.
Odd Questline Hunter is about to lose it's highest winrate card Rapid Fire. This deck was already running jank tradeable cards. When more support cards get printed the deck might totally return, but for now it will drop down a few tiers and be unrelevant for awhile. As long as Defend the Dwarven District remains unchanged, it is only a matter of time before this archetype shines again, but hopefully not too soon™.
Odd Questline Hunter will go away, Ignite Mage will see less play, but Questline Pirate Warrior will stick around just as much. All Rogue archetypes lose power across the board. C'Thun Druid, Even/Mecha'Thun Warlock and Freeze Shudderwock Shaman will have less opposition and thus become more prevalent. Nothing changes for Paladin and Priest. Demon Hunter remains (almost) unplayable.
@Alleria, you probably also "hate" the fact that your gold stash ends with "5", I reckon? 😁
Personally, I have the same tick as I cannot stand that my gold and arcane dust levels end with "5" as well. As for the dust level I can easily disenchant a common card to "correct" the non-existing problem, but for the gold level it is more difficult. I would have to play Arena or Heroic Duels and hope for an uneven amount of "5" gold to be rewarded at the end.
Hm, no specific mention of a fix for the You Are Not Worthy Paladin achievement in these patch notes. I really hope this one will be fixed in the upcoming patch or tables will get flipped, I am telling you right now.
Same known issue here. Very annoying and seems so silly and simple to fix, but had to live with it for over a month already now. Hopefully, it will be fixed in the upcoming patch (5 days to go still).
I successfully piloted a few builds from this streamer to beat heroic bosses. He really seems to know what he is talking about ^_^
By the way, except for the latest 5 added mercenaries I have all the other mercs fully maxed out, so that might also play a role in the success rate.
The design is fine and the heroic bosses are indeed beatable. As a matter of fact, I have completed them all in the meantime.

We players are their QA department apparently. I am still waiting for my first "paycheck" (gift cards also accepted).

The best recipe to destroy your MMR:
Voilà, less Tier 1 decks served 😂

I am happy and expect to pilot Freeze Shudderwock Shaman to Legend again before the mini-set hits.

I just reached level 200. The new patch with bugfixes arrives in 5 more days and then I can complete my last 2 remaining XP achievements, finally.
Hopefully the next meta becomes a bit more balanced at the same time as well.
