I claimed Deathmantle Valeera. However, this issue has not been properly fixed at all, because I was only able to claim one single Tier 2 hero portrait instead of two, even though I have met the requirements. The achievement progress states that both first two stages have been claimed today which is not true at all.
These silly issues are really starting to piss me off now, because as a programmer myself I feel the quality of the added features is currently well below par and honestly very close to being outright unacceptable. Do they even test their code themselves at all or are we their beta testers? If the latter is the case, we should all be on their payroll list.
EDIT: Apparently, they are aware that the bug is still present and is being fixed in waves? Seriously what the heck? Perhaps, I should try to get employed at Blizzard and dive into their code to see what kind of pasta dish it really is🤣
Sounds plausible indeed. I would still consider it a bug though, but rather a very silly and somewhat explainable one. They could easily "fix" it by simply adding a single bonus +1 level per rewards track for that cumulative level count. I see no other real solution because I assume most people will simply not understand the calculation otherwise (like I did before).
Yes, it is bugged and being looked into by Team 5. Aside from unable to claim any hero portrait, the calculation is also a bit off. It currently says I am at cumulative level 466, but it should be 468 instead (350 + 118 = 468). I guess they have not tested this new feature properly, but that is the "quality" of what we have seen for quite a lot of recent patches now unfortunately (notice the the growing list of bugfixes).
According to this official Blizzard blog post, the seasonal ranked rewards are indeed Standard cards only. That is a bummer. Reaching at least Diamond 5 every season has become a bit less interesting now I know this 😔
Oh well, it is still 100 extra arcane dust though!

Did anyone notice that the ranked ladder seasonal reward epic card (of April) was a duplicate? I am missing quite a few Wild epics still, but did not receive any of them. Perhaps only Standard cards are offered as ranked ladder seasonal rewards?
Although somewhat understandable, it is not mentioned specifically anywhere in-game, I think 🤔
This is not really meant as a complaint, but it does feel bad that the Wild cardpool is not included (at least so it seems). Especially since you can reach Diamond 5 also in both Wild and Classic modes nowadays.
I am currently at level 108 and I picked up Demonbane Illidan, but did not use him ever since yet. Demon Hunter is not one of the top dogs now unfortunately.
I have to agree with the meta being quite boring at this moment. Hopefully Team 5 will address it soon™.

Will the release of new Tier 2 hero portraits (obtainable after completing every 200 levels on the reward tracks) change your future amount of play? I am not so sure yet.
If they stick with two tiers in total, I will be able to obtain all the Tier 2 hero portraits sooner anyways than the Tier 1 hero portraits. Also, I am not at all familiar with the WoW armors and therefore I have no real affinity with them other than my own taste for their graphics.
Personally, I like the Rogue hero portrait and by picking it up should incentivize me to play Rogue even more. Same goes for the Demon Hunter hero portrait (which I like less though).
On a somewhat lighter but related sidenote, do you think there might be a threshold of too much collectible stuff added to HS too quickly which could scare off some potential collectors?

I can still remember the ecstatic sense of joy I experienced all the way back in January 2018 when I first reached Legend myself (with machinegun Priest). It was as if time suddenly stopped for a whole minute long. There was no one around me with whom I could share the awesome feeling though, but it was absolutely amazing nonetheless.
Over the years, I reached Legend another 19 times (and counting). Each time it felt super cool to me when I beat the gatekeeper end boss, but that feeling will most likely never again eclipse the very first virgin Legend experience 🤣
Anyways, enjoy the well deserved accomplishment. As a Legend player yourself starting today, you can wield the Legend cardback from now on.

Which hero portrait will you be picking up this time around? Nightslayer Valeera was my previous pick. Most logical would be to choose another portrait that I am going to use (to reach 1000 wins for my remaining 4 classes) instead of one that stays in mint condition.
I am at level 83 right now and levelling up takes a really long time (2500 XP per level). I cannot wait to reach level 100 and start gaining at least one level each day again until level 400.
Thanks! Hearthstone is the only game I play (roughly 3 hours per day). Unfortunately, due to the skewed curve of the rewards track, level 70 is only about halfway to level 100, XP wise.
Arrived at level 78 now (20% to level 400) and finally completed all the XP achievements from Forged into the Barrens. The Druid achievement Buy One, Get One Free was really really REALLY horrible to complete, ugh! Much worse than the Greybough achievement from the previous expansion.
I will now focus on getting to 1000 wins for the remaining 5 classes to collect their corresponding hero portraits:
I just hit level 65 today and I am currently focused on completing the new XP achievements (69% done). The overall difficulty of the new XP achievements seems to be easier this time around. At the very least, less legendaries are required in order to complete all of them.
I paid very little attention to the level 20 and level 50 legendaries I got (and thus forgot about them already), because my Forged in the Barrens collection was completed on launch day (pretty looking coin by the way).
I think my current XP progress is probably slightly behind compared to the previous rewards track. Though, I should be hitting level 70 at the very end of this week and finally get that sweet 20% XP boost again 😍

Unfortunately, you can only pick one single hero portrait now even when you have met the requirements of picking two.

I have 2 suggestions for the generated decklist image to make them a little bit prettier:
- Apply the various rarity colors inside the cardname text
- Increase the opacity value to see the card images better
