Good observation, reconnecting DOES seem to take a bit longer when they occur these days. If they happen at the latter part of your turn, there is indeed insufficient time to reconnect and still finish your own turn (which would suck). A feature like receiving some grace time would be great, but wishful thinking since it has probably close to zero priority for Team 5.

I have experienced more disconnects the past few patches than all the years prior combined. Of course, I remember the ones where I was in winning position better than otherwise. Luckily for me, none of these resulted in losses so far.

I was always in favor of reducing the turn time limit even further, but since these disconnects are still occurring and frequently also, I am fine with the turn time limit as it is right now. At least, there is sufficient time to reconnect and still play out your own turn.

I do not remember exactly how many attempts I took me to complete this XP achievement nor did I keep track of it, but it was approximately between 30 and 40 tries. I played Party Up! in a Standard Hand Buff Paladin deck and even won most of my games, so I did not mind at all that it took awhile. Especially since I was progressing a few other XP achievements simultaneously anyways.

I reached level 225 and finished all the new Wailing Caverns XP achievements.

Stealer of Souls is getting banned on Wednesday which means I can finally play Wild again afterwards.

For the rest of this year, I will focus on reaching 1000 wins with Demon Hunter. Still 572 wins to go though. At least, Illidan will turn golden very soon™ 😁

EDIT: I managed to assemble Quel'Delar for the first time in Duels. This weapon is really awesome. I am loving it! 🍟🍔

Thanks for the clarification and would indeed explain the inner workings of the feature. It is unfortunate for me that it happens though, because I frequently use the Recent Threads feature to check for the latest content on this site.

Can you elaborate on this please? I do not understand the correlation.

In the sidebar (on the right side) of the Hearthstone portal overview the Recent Threads are shown with the amount of time elapsed since the last update. What I do not understand is for instance for New Warlock Minion - Stealer of Souls it says that some update occurred very recently, but when you click on the arrow to navigate to the latest comment it is old and there does not seem to be any new comment added.

Is it another caching issue, perhaps someone fooling around or am I missing something? I am curious about this 🤔

That works perfectly well indeed or you could go full APM Spell Druid mode; gain attack plus armor and heal whilst drawing through your whole deck in 1 single turn for overkill damage. Very consistent especially combined with Solar Eclipse. You have to be fast though.

    Fun brawl! 😂

I finally completed Krush Got Back using a Highlander Warrior deck. The last game was a long attrition match involving infinite Greyboughs which helped drag the game into fatigue and I even managed to win it in the end.

As for the other games, I mostly ran into various versions of the new Combo Warlock deck which is just plain stupid. None of the builds seem very good, but the fact that so many sheeple are playing it now has warped the Wild meta. Winning or losing with the combo is not enjoyable at all. I would rather prefer losing against Tickatus instead. Blizzard should nerf Stealer of Souls one way or another soon™.

    Thanks again!

I just completed Tormented Hearts in Wild using your suggestions. Now, I will start grinding for the last achievement Kresh Got Back in Wild also. Hopefully, getting the 60 ticks does not take too long.

    Thanks for the guide!

I can confirm that the last 2 achievements I have yet to complete are not designed properly: Tormented Hearts and Kresh Got Back. There is little to no progress possible with them because they are just too damn difficult. In the previous expansion we had the Greybough achievement which was tedious, but at least there was progress albeit very slow.

I would also argue that Tormented Hearts is buggy, because the game did not increase the progression count properly. My opponent played 2 spells discounted via Palm Reading whilst I had a Taintheart Tormenter on board and the achievement only went up by 2 points. The discount my opponent got should have nothing to do with my achievement progress but apparently it did which is wrong IMO. By the way, if it does work as intended it means this achievement is even worse to complete.

Yesterday, I reached the halfway point of the Rewards Track (level 200) right when the Wailing Caverns mini-set was released. Time to start doing the new XP achievements for the additional 3600 (+20%) XP.

I played a funny Wild match against the new Warlock combo deck with Stealer of Souls, Plot Twist, Violet Illusionist, Cataclysm and Mecha'thun. My opponent played the combo while I had a Bad Luck Albatross on board. Needless to say, the combo failed of course and my opponent immediately shame conceded afterwards 😂

That is why I like the Perpetual Flame golden animation a lot, because an actual flame is seemingly coming out of the card.

I really like the golden animations of Mutanus the Devourer, Against All Odds, Perpetual Flame and Unstable Shadow Blast. Nice!

Not meaning to boast, but now there is finally a proper goal to spend all the extra hoarded gold from finishing the complete rewards track last expansion and collect the remaining cardbacks I missed way back when Hearthstone launched. Thanks Blizzard! 🥰

In that case, I would participate with a handicap, hmm... best not do that if I want to win then. Better safe than sorry I guess.

By the way, I wonder how to precisely define whether or not something belongs to Hearthstone or WoW. To take a brief sidestep looking at MTG, I was kind of surprised when they decided to release the Kamigawa expansion way back when which included lots of Japanese folklore. Something similar could happen in WoW (or perhaps already did happen), I am not really familiar with the complete WoW lore besides bits and pieces ported into Hearthstone. The anime image and name I intended to use is related to Naruto and also references Japanese folklore quite a lot (the main protagonist is a freaking ninja anyways), but since it was popularized in the anime, some people might not know about its true origin.

Just checking to be sure, there is no penalty for using a well-known anime image and perhaps even the name for my card right? Or does it have to be Hearthstone or WoW specific? As long as I manage to follow this weeks competition theme, it should be okay I think?

I reached level 191 playing mostly weird decks in mega dumpster Wild legend ranks. I have no interest in playing against the meta decks in Standard, so I have been completing a few of the no-XP achievements in Wild. Also, finally hit the 12 consecutive wins achievement with the current best Wild deck Hand Buff Paladin whilst trying to complete another achievement. I think the first loss came after 20 wins. The mini-set cannot come soon enough, because the game is quite boring at this moment for me.

Personally, I think the 4 heroes limit at startup should be removed. The main purpose is probably to have a broader representation of all classes during each run, but I think we should not be restricted in our choice of which class to play. I have always thought it was weird for Arena also. Especially when you are spending 150 gold or a tavern ticket.
