Yeah that's the thing. It sounds generous getting a free Legendary - even more so if Golden.
But other than the 1 copy in a deck restriction (or other niche Legendary card interactions) - it's irrelevant it's a Legendary and might as well be a common or rare given you'll never be able to dust it. It has a dust value of 0.
Then again, better free than introduced to the game and you have to pack or craft it. I just don't consider it generous in the same way as getting a free random Legendary on some previous expansion releases (which you can dust if you want).
I don't know about this specific case and I don't seek to cast judgement, but I don't agree there is never any justification for rational suicide.
However, it's the responsible thing to do to engage with family, friends, your Doctor, mental health services or helplines in your area if you are considering ending your life. That's what I did.
Though I've given up on proposing what's coming up as I am always totally wrong.
And even though it's been 3 months I still am trying to cope with the loss of Whizbang the Wonderful from standard. He deserves to be moved to classic damn it!
I got 11x stars on NA and EU this season, but only 10x on Asia. Finished Legend on all of them during previous season, but it's the top percentage of the ladder MMR that is relevant.
I would guess top 10/20% but I don't know what I am basing that on. And obviously you also need to know how many people will be in Legend on that server/in that format upon season reset.
I think it is final standings that matter - but I don't have definitive evidence of this.
It's more the play testing element of quality control that's lacking.
I don't blame the people actually doing it - I would guess there's not enough of them and/or they are not given enough time to do it properly by those in charge.
Certainly in the last year the quality of the product has suffered significantly. It's got to the point now where I now expect a new patch to break things even if it's just a simple quest or tavern brawl etc.
And fix my arena badge! It's a game critical issue! (ok it's not really)
One has to be very careful what one says online regarding any issue these days - particularly if relating to race or gender. Caution is advised (and after reading twitter for a bit about lots of topics I think I'll just shut up about everything :P ).
But I am allowed to *think* it. So take that Internet!
I'd recommend avoiding this in case Blizzard takes a dim view :)
I assume it's a loop prevention mechanism. If the game instance on the server detects an infinite loop or more likely either:
- number of same turn actions/draws exceeds a hard limit
- the same thing is happening again and again exceeding a hard limit
....then terminate game.
Only reasonable player outcome in those instances is to consider the game void (and hence a draw). Also that deters exploits such as these as there's no competitive advantage to be gained.
Hopefully there will be a main page article reminder, but at time of posting there isn't and it's only a few hours to go. So don't forget as it's only a 12 hour window to get 4 hours of watching done.
And good luck with your packs!!!!!! If you get something good I encourage you to share it below :)
I've had to play the first chapter 3 times due to having 3 accounts (NA, EU, ASIA).
I wouldn't mind the poetry if it was skippable and you could click the "go" button etc before it's read in its entirety. In the end I muted the game and just waited.
Still, it's great to have some free content so a minor complaint.
I'm all for sensible, fair and reasonable changes to things which are unnecessarily unfair or offensive - racially or otherwise. Of course this is a tricky thing to get right on a case by case basis with the context being very relevant.
I don't play this particular game (saw the article linked on twitter) but it got my attention.
I would hope though that calm cool measured heads prevail with any protesting, changes to policies, laws, card games and anything else. Knee jerk reactions amid hysteria won't help anything and likely make things worse in the long run. They don't tend to be changes for the best.
I am not implying any specific example here including these MTG changes. But let's not ban chess because it's white vs black for example.
Treat everyone respectfully and fairly would be my default position and I'd encourage everyone to do the same.
I added 200 people across NA. EU and Wild last year. I think I had one negative response.
That vast majority were nice and I've had some really good chats with people all over the world. This was mainly wild should that be at all relevant.
In the rare cases when someone childishly acts as the person in OPs post, I deny them a negative reaction. It's what they want. In the past I've just chuckled and sent them a *hug*. I think that probably annoys them more :P
People that start wishing death/disease on you/your family because they lost in a fantasy card game have enough of a hard time already. After all, they have to *be* them for life.
While this taught me something I didn't know, and sadly already have experience with, it turned out not to be the solution (which fortunately I've now found :) )
Only a little related, but someone might like it.
At the start of the UK pandemic there was a spate of BBC News people playing instruments along to the BBC News Theme.
My favourite one was this with a violin - not as technically difficult as this HS theme but I like it.

Great article as usual Flux.

Kinda hoping we get some more of these in future special events!
There's definitely a star bonus decay factor at work which we knew already but it's stronger than I thought.
Finished D5 on both EU and Asia which are unchanged at 11 and 10 stars respectively this season.

The deckcode I used was "AAAAABConcede4Timesblahblah==". Seemed very effective in obtaining packs!
Be nice if it could turn my arena badge the right way up :) (though that sounds like a client patch)
I've gotten 2 packs. Note I don't get notifications in Twitch which is bugged for many (all?). I simply logged in to the game.
It's my understanding that this action was primarily taken as a result of this tweet:

Slysssa has now replaced him. Interestingly I was watching a video where she shared her thoughts regarding this lucrative event recently. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_Iy-pI7XZ4&t=263

Wait you're telling me you don't play Mayor Noggenfogger in your Wild decks - you're missing out :P

Search Google - no need to mention Hearthstone
Me too :P
